Left-wing, taxpayer-subsidized ACORN fraudsters have been infiltrating the public schools.
Watch out: Your kid could be recruited to help assist and “organize” the “community” of homeless people, criminals, and illegal aliens signing up more dead people and fake people to vote for Obama.

Jahneil McMahon long ago made up her mind about the presidential election. She connected with Barack Obama’s speeches, felt his experiences would help him understand her life in Hartford. She prefers his views on education, taxes and the mortgage crisis, issues she says particularly affect her city.
Trouble is, she’s only 17.
Which is why, on Thursday morning, McMahon paced the aisles of the Hartford Public High School auditorium with a stack of voter registration forms and a handful of pens. She passed them out to her older schoolmates and monitored from the aisle as they filled them out.
“If I could start helping now, maybe someone else’s voice can be symbolic of mine,” she said.
Although most attempts at registering young voters center on college campuses, a new national effort to reach out to an even wider group of young people is underway.
Because the majority of black and Latino 18- to 24-year-olds don’t attend college, researchers have warned that focusing voter registration efforts on college campuses risks missing out on half of the nation’s young people, particularly black and Latino youth.
“This is a population that has not been tapped,” said Sharon Patterson-Stallings, a member of the Hartford Board of Education and chairwoman of the North End United ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. “We have not really educated people about voting.”
Part rally, part voter registration drive and part lecture on the importance of voting, Thursday’s program at the high school’s Law and Government Academy was one of more than a dozen assemblies held this week at high schools in cities nationwide.

DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham official is asking state elections administrators to check approximately 80 voter registration forms for possible fraud.
Mike Ashe, Durham County’s elections director, said the forms were among about 4,000 submitted to his office over the past four to six weeks by a national left-wing group called Acorn, for Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.
“They will be turned over to the State Board of Elections for investigation and prosecution,” Ashe said of the questionable documents.
Most of the forms at issue bear one of six names. Ashe was not sure whether the people named existed or not.
Many of the papers are incomplete, which Ashe said is a nuisance, not a crime. But the group contains very different versions of what are purportedly the same person’s signatures.
Signing another person’s name on a voter registration form can result in up to 15 months in prison.

A woman who visited the elections office Wednesday said that Tamion Richardson of Buffalo Way had received a mailing stating that he had been registered to vote. The woman, who said she was Richardson’s mother, said he was 14 years old and ineligible to vote.

Also, elections officials have received calls from people saying they had received new voter registration cards with incorrect information.

They are in Phoenix protesting Sheriff Joe in about an hour.
It looks like Obama’s people are doing the same thing that the Brown Shirts of Hitler’s Nazi Party did.

Here in Flint, Michigan, they’re putting out the word that anyone without a permanent address can register to vote & use the address of a neighborhood Police Ministation as their address.
I might suggest that EVERY form coming in from acorn be suspect of fraud and investigated. Just more from bho thinking he is the ‘one’ to be POTUS whatever it takes.

Dead folks have been known to vote here in Louisiana, too. They are all Democrats.

The only reason it was dropped to 18 was due to the Vietnam war. So many 18-20 year olds were fighting, it was decided that if they can fight and die for the country, they should be able to vote. I have no issue with that.
What I’d like to see is that anyone that works for the government be excluded from voting. My reasoning is that they will vote for the person that they think is likely to not cut government spending or lower taxes. Except the military (remember, they fight and die for our freedom). If you want to vote, get out of government employ. They’re just non-producing tax eaters anyway. They may provide a service, but there is no proof they provide a vital service. Like the miltary.

She was passing these voter registration forms out in a school auditorium? My question is, were these students call to the auditorium for just this purpose? If so, peeee yeeew! Don’t you dare assemble for a, gasp…Christmas Program where some actual, gasp again and even harder…Christian songs might be sung. But it’s ok to load’em up to register to vote? How many young people were there to explain that John McCain sees things the way that they do? hmmmmm? Just saying

I thought at first ACORN wanted to simply “stack” the voter rolls, but more and more, it seems to me that ACORN’s real agenda is to create chaos and confusion, which can then, of course, lead to charges of “disenfranchisement”, “racism”, etc etc on election day.

Eight to 10 years ago I would have considered this radical and offensive. Now, with the government employing more than 1.8 million civilians, not counting the Post Office, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and AIG, it doesn’t sound so radical.
Should working for the Federal Government disqualify people from voting in Federal elections? The conflict of interest is undeniable.

Not really an option as they do not give up rights for their job– I mean congressmen and women vote too. (yeah, I know, that’s even worse).The solution is to keep government small so they can never make enough of a difference. I seem to remember that being a core conservative principle……
I dare anyone to give me any REAL and SUBSTANITIVE reasons why we can have a nationwide program to check ID cards to buy liquor but we can not have national voter positive ID cards. If we can do that, no Democrat will ever win the election again.
The voting age needs to be raised and there should be some relationship established between the right to vote and the contribution of said voter to funding of government. The fact that some uninformed kid going to college on mommy and daddy’s dime can cancel out my vote annoys the Hell out of me. These kids don’t have the knowledge or life experience to make a truly informed vote. Nor have they experienced the burden of government.

I just return from town and had my revenge on a Obama supporter. A small business in which I purchase around $7000 a year in supplies, had a Obama sticker in his window. I informed the owner that my purchases would be going elsewhere. The look on his face made my week.

By law, you are required to show proof of age and citizenship in order to be hired for a job.

Well, when the country was founded, only property owners could vote. Since there was no income tax and no “social programs,” only land owners were affected largely by the government.

The only age demographic that Obama leads McCain in is the 18-29 range. Of course he’s going to go after the young vote. It’s his only play.
Older, wiser, more experienced voters already see through his game. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), we’ve seen this all before, most recently with the failed Carter administration.
If you don’t see Obama for what he really is by now – the quintessential ‘tax and spend’ liberal, a great advocate for the multiple (and ongoing) failures of these same abysmal social engineering programs, and a “true believer” in the idea of wealth re-distribution from those that have to those that won’t – then I doubt you ever will.
I just pray those that known outnumber those who don’t, at least in the states that this election will ultimately come down to…

I recieved yet another voter registeration for my father 1904-1968 just today. I guess they refuse to give up.
Except for the 18-20 year olds in service to the country, nobody under 21 should be allowed to vote.
I was in high school when JFK was running. I was caught up in the “rock star” scenario that was his campaign. Although he was a great prez, I couldn’t have told you why I was for him.
ACORN? Considering their past criminal activity and convictions for fraud, they shouldn’t be allowed to be involved in any voter registration drives or be given any money to operate anything.
If Obama loses this election, and I surely hope he does, there is going to be big trouble in this country, perpetrated by those such as ACORN & the ACLU. Hopefully, the win by McCain will have such big numbers that there will be no doubt who the winner is, but as close as this race is, I don’t hold out much hope for that. The protests and lawsuits will rival this weeks financial mess.
It would be a cold day in hell. My children would NEVEr do such a thing. If it was to the point where their teacher was telling them the “had” to, they know to inform me immediately and it will be dealt with.
Besides, none of thm think The Tarnished Bovine is worthy of mucking out horse stalls, let alone being President, and therefore they would NEVEr work to have him be President.
