It cannot be true, they say. lgm I consider liberals like you to be akin to physicians of 300 years ago. They were well educated, intelligent, meant well, and tried to help their fellow man. However, their approach to illnesses was to drain the toxins from the body – by bleeding and applying leeches. When their patients took a turn for the worse, they applied more leeches.
They felt contempt for the uneducated who avoided them (having a little common sense and seeing how ineffective they were). You and your fellow liberals express the same contempt for conservatives; people who actually apply a little logic and can think for ourselves. Most here who listened to that tirade and have listened to Rush (something I had not done until this year because I thought he was “hate” radio) know that your accusation that he does the same is nonsense. He expresses pity for liberals more than hatred.
We look back at those doctors and think them fools, they weren’t, but they did foolish things because they thought them to be good things – they just never stopped to think about the results of their actions.

Thanks, my wife made me watch one of those movies made about a Jane Austen novel (you know something and something else), there was a scene in there where one of the characters took ill and the doctor got out the knife and started slicing. I thought: “what a fool”, and then realized he wasn’t a fool, just not able to see the truth because of what he had been taught. To think that all those wise instructors were wrong was just something he could not do.
The whole sub-prime mess was brought about by well meaning people hoping to lift those in poverty up by getting them into houses instead of government housing projects. It was a failed experiment, that our children and grandchildren will pay for. The whole thing started with Carter, then Clinton put the program on steroids. Liberals should be screaming about failed Clinton policies as loudly as they scream about failed Bush policies.
So basically, lgm, instead of providing any proof that Rush actually said anything equally hateful, you shift the topic neatly towards the posters on this site.

Last year, Neal Boortz said that Cynthia McKinney looked like “a ghetto slut” because of her hairstyle (and whatever you think of her — I personally think she’s a bit of a nutbag, honestly — his criticism was based on her HAIRSTYLE — not her politics). I just ignored it, and so did a lot of liberal bloggers. I’m one of the liberals that posts here, and I think that I’d ignore the comments of someone who, honestly, is now pretty much getting free press — thanks to this site.

I agree with you that disparaging someone on their physical appearance is inappropriate. And I have avoided such comments.
But, you overlook a lot of conservative babes, starting with Michelle Malkin. Mary Katherine Hamm, Patricia Heaton, Sarah Palin, Barbara Olson, Helle Dale are easy on the eyes to name just a few major babes on the RIGHT side of the issues. Even better, they have working brains that make them even more attractive and is far more important than their physical beauty.
But, looks do have nothing to do with political views.
