Gianna Jessen is the powerfully eloquent survivor of abortion who recently appeared in the ad above challenging Barack Obama’s opposition as state senator to the Illinois Born Alive Infants Protection Act.
I hear from a source that WKYC-TV in Cleveland has confirmed Obama is running an ad responding to the BornAliveTruth.org ad featuring Jessen.
Says my source:
Obama’s campaign told the Associated Press they would only be running “low-profile radio ads and campaign mailings.” They deliberately misled the media to portray a false sense of low-key campaigning. The fact is this issue is a problem for Obama, his record is clear and Gianna Jessen is a living manifestation of the fact that many babies do survive abortions and need medical protection and care. Obama voted against such protection and care four times in the Illinois State Senate while the U.S. Senate passed an identical bill 98-0. The Obama response ad is scheduled to run on WKYC-TV at the following times today, and is probably running in other markets in Ohio:
4:10pm during Ellen
5:09pm during Dr. Phil
7:35pm during Entertainment Tonight
So much for low-profile. I’d say this is panic-mode politics from The One.

It reminds me of the Paul Harvey the rest of the story that talks about a pregnant prostitute who both her and the fatehr of the child had VD, have nothing to show for life and know tht their child is going to be born deaf. He then asks would you abort this child? The person he was describing was Beethoven.

There shouldn’t be any question as to whether or not a child born after a botched abortion should receive medical care and treatment. What kind of evil lurks within a person who, not only supports abortion but also supports denying treatment to child that survived that horror? More than likely this ad will be preaching to the choir. Conservatives already know the consequences of abortion and know how many potential lives are snuffed out.

I seem to recall that the Obama Campaign, after first denying that he had voted against the Illinois infant protection bill because it did not have the same language as the Federal bill, issued a statement that the Illinois bill DID have the Federal bill’s language in it when Obama voted against it. This seems to be counter to the statement of the radio ad claiming that “Obama’s always supported medical care to protect infants.” If he did, wouldn’t he have voted FOR the Illinois bill?

I work for myself and I have some great prospects coming up but sadly I am not a millionaire. Yet.
My goal is to be able to one day fund not only solid ministries like the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry (where my father worked for almost 30 years before retiring) but also really worthy political causes like this one.
Abortion is one of my hot button issues, as I think it is for a lot of other folks as well and I’ve felt for weeks that this issue is the dark horse issue of this election given how extreme Obama’s record truly is.
I do not believe that America would be comfortable with someone with such a radical record and leanings be in the Oval Office.
Why can’t “Pro-Choice” people choose adoption over abortion?
Why is the literal human sacrifice of an innocent baby preferable in their eyes to the personal sacrfice of the mother letting the child come to term, be born, and given to a family who wants to adopt a child?
Why, even in the cases of rape or incest, is the human sacrifice of an innocent child preferable to the “inconvenience” of pregnancy?
Why give the innocent child the death penalty for the father’s crime?

If John McCain is a lier because of this ad, then Obama himself ordered Palin’s email hacked into and Bristol attacked as a slut/the mother of Trig – In other words, I don’t buy it at all.
Obama is making a huge mistake by calling John McCain a lier. Not only does it look like he’s attacking McCain’s honor, but this more confrontational campaigning style is only going to ratchet up tensions in an already strained country. Three things come to mind:
First, the phrase “has always” comes right before someone lies or misstates a true position.
Second, the actual phrase is a distraction, that directs the listener away from the message of the BornAliveTruth ad, that Obama voted against protection for babies from “botched abortions.” No where did that ad say Obama didn’t support babies, it said he voted against medical care for survivors of failed abortions.
Third, who in the world would ever go on record being against care of infants?
This is what we can look forward to, should we be so unfortunate to get this piece of work as our head of state. O-BUMMER!

Key word = Infants. Infants are babies people want. When people WANT babies, it is wrong to not care for them medically. Obama agrees with that. But to Obama, abortions are inconveniences no one wants.

That was exactly the issue I was making in my Second Point….it is a total misrepresntation of the BAT.org ad. Obama does NOT want the victims of abortion (fetuses) regarded as unborn human beings. It would verify that the left’s pro-abortion position is, in fact, murder/infanticide. To take that position would make Roe v. Wade unsustainable, and for Democrats, unacceptable.

On your second point, there are many international adoption agencies who are working with the government in other countries to bring orphaned children to the USA for adoption.
