What’s on your minds?

A few random Saturday links for you:

Here’s a picture worth a thousand “Uhs.” (Try Wordle with any Obama transcript. You’ll get the same picture.)

Via Lucianne’s Must-Reads: “The Drumbeat.”

Meryl Yourish reports: Democrats threaten to kneecap Jewish nonprofits.

Via HA Headlines, the latest Palin derision: “SnowJob Squareglasses.”

Via the Smoking Gun: Your in-your-face Hope-and-Change thug of the day.

Gag: Obama sings “I’m Every Woman” to praise his wife.

MKH: Tap the Rockies.

Charlie Rangel is an ass.

And an unhinged photog update: Jill Greenberg has reportedly been fired by her agency. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of her, though…

    Nyk,

I am talking about specific people. People like tgusa, bit-boy and a few others, whose names I can’t remember are pure racists. I wouldn’t save the life of an evil racist if they were suffering in front of me. They’d just resent and mock my efforts anyway. I’d rather look them in the eyes and let them see that “my kind” watched their last moments and wouldn’t lift a finger to help. I’m not talking about all of the people on this blog, or in this world that I disagree with. Of course that doesn’t stop the phony outrage. I know my views don’t sound very nice, but they are honest. I’ve encountered a lot of evil in my life, and I don’t mind having a hand in having it suffer and then go away. Somebody mentioned aiding Bill Clinton, but I don’t have a “republican” example in mind to watch die. It’s not like that. I’d watch Hal Turner die. I’d watch the leaders of the Westboro Baptist church die. I’d watch terrorists die. I’d watch a known Nazi or Klan member die. I would sit down and drink a beer while watching bit-boy die. That’s just me.

Sorry about the negativity, and it’s nice to see you around.

Anyways, I love music, nyk. My favorites are classic rock, rock, and hip-hop, but I love many different kinds. Right now I’m obsessed with Ani Difranco. I’m a late convert to the religion known as “the Beatles”(I play the White Album all day at work).

    Favorites include:
    The Rolling Stones(my very favorite)
    Beatles
    Biggie
    Bob Dylan
    Tupac
    Ani Difranco
    Sly and the Family Stone
    Outkast
    Marvin Gaye

I could go on forever. I hear you’re in a band, and I’m so happy to hear that, and jealous:))

I’m about to hit some DVD’s and tape SNL, but you have a lovely evening. I’ll try to check in later.

Again, what in honor’s name happened to you? It shouldn’t matter who it is. The world may be a better place without other people, but it’s not our job to make the determination. I have no idea what ‘your kind’ is, but the scenario you posted would just make more people dislike you. Seeing one of ‘your kind’ help someone who absolutely loathes you may help other people get over their petty predjudice. Unless, of course, you LIKE being hated. For whatever reason.

So, expect more Albright-ish reliance and in and involvement in the petty politics of the UN over guarding the US interests, and more “fixing” and “meddling” and “intervention” in foreign countries for “humanitarian” reasons that have nothing to do with OUR national security issues, with NO game plan and NO exit strategy, but endless quagmire. I hope the military people will see through this and say NO THANKS.

Obama and Albright share the same “21st Century Vision”. Be afraid!

It will be a complete destruction of everything that America supposedly stands for.

    …and Obama said:

Only Malcom X’s autobiography seemed to offer something different. His repeated acts of self-creation spoke to me. The blunt poetry of his words. His unadorned insistence on respect. He promised a new and uncompromising order, marshall in its discipline.

At first I laughed, but then I thought about the Cuban Missle Crisis. And then I realized that Putin is already bringing back the Cuban Missle Crisis, it’s just that he is using the ruse of it being a “space” program:

Russia to help Cuba build space center
    Wed Sep 17, 2008

Moscow is ready to help Cuba develop its own space center, Russia’s space agency chief said on Wednesday after talks in Caracas with Venezuelan and Cuban officials, Itar-Tass news agency reported.

Russia has stepped up efforts to develop closer links with both countries, which are ideological enemies of Washington, including sending Russian strategic bombers on a mission to Venezuela this month.

Renewed Russian links to the Caribbean island will stir memories in Washington of the 1962 Cuban missile crisis when the United States and Soviet Union almost went to war over Soviet missile bases on Cuba, which is 90 miles from U.S. shores.

Russian officials have said they want to renew Cuban ties that were neglected after the Soviet Union’s collapse.

Kennedy’s government had received repeated Soviet diplomatic disclaimers that there were neither Soviet missiles in Cuba, nor plans to install any, and that the USSR was uninterested in provoking an international confrontation that would affect the United States House of Representatives elections in November.

The Cuban Missle Crisis included a lot more than just Russian missles

In all were planned to deploy 60,000 troops, three R-12 missile regiments and two R-14 missile regiments. Troops were transferred by 86 ships, that conducted 180 voyages from ports Baltiysk, Liepāja, Sevastopol, Feodosia, Nikolaev, Poti, Murmansk. Between June 17 and October 22 there were transferred 24 launching pads, 42 R-12 rockets, including six training ones, some 45 nuclear warheads, 42 Il-28 bombers, a fighter aircraft regiment (40 Mig-21 aircraft), two Anti-Air Defense divisions, three mechanized infantry regiments, and other military units - some 47,000 troops in total.

America went to sleep when the Berlin wall fell in 1989. A mere 10 years later Vladimir Putin rose to power on December 31, 1999. And Vladimir Putin is worse than Nikita Khrushchev.

I hope we can see some video of it somewhere later, Colin Powell had a great line in there, it was supposed to be an ‘a’-political event but Madeline Albright got some nasty aside in there about Palin.

There was a segment with audience questions and someone asked about the historic occasion of an african american being on the ballot. One of the Dems took the question first and said something lame about it, then Colin Powell took the question and spoke about his admiration for both candidates and then said “and I’ve not endorsed either candidate and don’t know yet who I’m voting for, I’m looking forward to the debates”. The idiot CNN guy leaned over and said “But, you have to think this is truly historic and be very proud of an African American on the ticket.”

    Colin Powell said
“I’m immensely proud, but I’m an American first.”

To a huge round of applause from the audience.

He is absolutely lacking in mercy, conscience, and remorse, what was known in my youth as a psychopath. The old style Communist leadership was enervated, dull, always planning for the next funeral as they doddered off to oblivion. Not this new version. They are determined to avoid the mistakes of the last generation. They are young, energetic, and itching for a fight. It’s national socialism in all but name. And it is just warming up.

It is downright evil to watch someone suffer and die, while you have the ability to help them and choose not to.

You ask, “WHAT would make someone NOT help…?”

    Honest answer: Satan

I know, it’s a little “extreme” to use that name, but it’s still the truth.
    Satan is “the thief”:

As an EMT, I’m sure you have certain legal and ethical obligations. As a common citizen seeing a racist (not in my care) suffering on the streets, I’ll let them suffer. As a common citizen, I would NEVER, under any circumstances help a KNOWN racist, who was suffering and in need of my help. I’d rather laugh at them and watch them twitch in pain. I would hope that they look into my eyes and see that a Black person can match their intense hatred with full follow through.
This isn’t about POLITICS. It’s about bigotry and refusing to help someone who hates my very being, or believes that I belong to some type of subculture based on my ethnicity. It’s not about POLITICS, because I have specifically mentioned racists, terrorists, and hate pimps like the Westboro Baptist church. There are some people I have encounterd on a personal level that I would watch suffer, politics aside.
If I were an EMT like you, I’d do my job. As an attorney, and particularly as a former Public Defender, I have represented a few bigots. I have done my job to the best of my ability, while secretly hating them. I have represented one racist on Death Row. However, if one of these racist, piece of trash clients were to suffer in front of me, free and in public, I’d sit and watch. I can seperate legal obligations from personal animosity.

People want to make this about POLITICS, because they are liars and that theme fits the phony outrage better. People like bit-boy, tgusa and a few others are pure RACISTS. You as an EMT are obligated to help everybody. If I ever had the pleasure to encounter somebody like bit-boy, or the like in my personal life, and they were going through EXTREME suffering I would watch with a smile.
I have witnessed a great deal of evil in my life, including senseless, violent death by gunshots. I’m not afraid, or bothered by death. I do take pleasure in the suffering of people who foster and support the hatred of others like me. That will never change, and I’m not ashamed. I’m honest.

    mistressjustice,

You pride yourself on your honesty.
How about taking it up a notch?

Do to others as you would have them do to you.

    Luke 6:31

You feel that you are justified in taking “pleasure in the suffering of people who foster and support the hatred of others like me”.
That sounds like “an eye for an eye”.
    You can do better:

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

    Matthew 5:44

You say, “That will never change, and I’m not ashamed.”
You’re proud of that. And your pride goes before your destruction.

    Pride goes before destruction,
And a haughty spirit before a fall.

    Proverbs 16:18
