Since when has liberalism ever been considered by the majority of Americans as "mainstream?"

If anything, Conservatism has been the norm in America, until the past forty years, when the radicals infiltrated every area of the media, academia, and governmental agencies.

Just remember, tolerance and acceptance are two very different things and neither should be confused with the other.

Just because someone is tolerant of a situation or a person or an act etc., does NOT mean that they accept what that act is, the person is doing or has done etc.

Therein lies the problem. Too many people equate tolerance with acceptance.

Wow, that's the first time anyone's ever accused me of being a liberal...this should come as a shock to anyone who knows me, including the liberals who hate my guts.

I never questioned that you knew someone who had molested forty or fifty children. I believe you. I've never not believed you. I'm sure they were, and I'm very sorry that that happened. It's a horrible thing to happen to a person.

I just don't think that "I knew a homosexual who molested children" is a good argument when it comes to talking about gay people as a whole. He's as much a homosexual as straight child molestors are heterosexuals. If you say he was gay (I assume you mean in the "had sex with adult men" way), I believe you. The relevent factor is that he's a pedophile, not that he's gay. He's not a typical gay person, and straight child molestors aren't typical straight people. Pedophilia is its own weird breed of deranged and damaging. I don't think anyone is a child molestor because they're gay. I think they're child molestors because they're child molestors.

Maybe I wasn't as clear as I could have been, but I don't think it's fair of you to accuse me of thinking things I never said, like that I question what you saw with your own eyes.

Anyway, we're on the same side on the main thing here: pedophiles are horrible and child molestation is a terrible thing. Your friends went through an awful ordeal. Take olive branch?

You self-righteous, smug, jerk. How dare you have the temerity to tell me what I saw happen with my own eyes over a 9 month period!

I witnessed these events these events first-hand. They were my friends who were molested. How dare you talk about something you know nothing about. Typical liberal! You always know everything and you know more than everyone.

I don't care who wants to claim him. The fact is he was homosexual. Everybody in his barracks knew it. It is too bad the parents and kids who were hurt by him were the last ones to find out.

You guys need to wake up - Sarah Palin is a horrible mother

What kind of mother would make her 17 year old daughter marry an idiot?
How do you know either of these two things to be true, except by what the Left-loving MSM tells you?

Two things to bank on - 1.) the Left is scared stiff of Sarah Palin; 2.) she will be elected the next Vice President and, eventually, President!

Feminists make many mistakes, like the rest of us, but they are right on this one.

Just for the record, there wasn’t some gay pride parade in the area on that day that they could have just come from, was there?

Not that I would be aware of any parades the gays would be having anyway, but no...I don't think there was a parade. If there was, then these two guys were the only ones to make it to the zoo after the festivities.

The emasculation of that little boy will be complete by the time he is 13.

One fine day my wife and I took our two boys to the Dallas Zoo. As we were strolling along admiring the animals, my wife ducked in to a souvenir shop while my oldest boy and I waited on a bench out front. As we waited for mom to figure out which shirts to buy, along came these two gentlemen pushing a little boy, between 1 to 2 years old in a stroller. These two men were wearing tie-dyed outfits…shirts, shorts and even their socks were tie-dyed with all the colors of the “rainbow”. They had rainbow hats, and rainbow shoe-laces. Even the stroller was painted up in rainbows. Now, I have nothing against rainbows or anything but I couldn’t help but wonder if this was a good environment for this little guy they had in the stroller. He was done-up in rainbows as well. I’m sure at this age rainbows are great…but….what about when the boy is 13? I see more harm than good for this boy in his future.
Oh WOW. Those two sound pretty over-the-top...but if it makes you feel better, I'm sure the kid will have rebelled against having rainbows all over his stuff by the age of six, if not before. I doubt they'll make him keep wearing it or anything.

I agree that being so overkill about "hey! we're gay and this is our kid!" is probably not the best idea. Just for the record, there wasn't some gay pride parade in the area on that day that they could have just come from, was there?

Sarah doesn’t need feminist approval for her lifestyle; the only person whose OK she needs for her double career as mother and politician is her husband’s, and he seems very happy with Sarah.

Uh, newsflash Phyllis. I've made decisions all my life without looking to a man for approval. That's part of being an adult as well as a woman in in America.

I'd suggest that American women do some traveling to learn how privileged they are. No other women have the rights enjoyed by American women who do the most complaining about what they think they don't have.
