Team McCain has an epiphany: The NYTimes is a left-wing rag!
Well.
After years of John McCain basking in the glow of NYTimes-conferred maverick status, after enjoying heaps of praise from the open-borders editorial board for his shamnesty efforts, and after touting the NYTimes editorial endorsement on the McCain campaign website just eight short months ago, Team McCain has discovered — gasp! — that the NYTimes is a pro-Obama propaganda machine.
Knock me over with a feather.

Maybe they will also realize that their base doesn’t consist mainly of liberals.
Now only if he would learn about the “A” word being bad.
Better late than never, I guess. Up next: McCain realizes that fire is hot, bears sh1t in the woods, and the Pope is Catholic.
Will somebody also tell him that “My Friends” is old and annoying, too?
How about speaking out against the liberals in congress who got us into this financial mess?!
Oh my friends stuff is not bad but him supporting amnesty is. I hope super sarah will save the day.
No! Tell me it isn’t so. Who would have ever thunk it?
never trust a rag that was pro-Stalin.
Did you read the list of the 42 pieces the Obama team cited as “evidence” of the NYT’s so-called, “fairness”?
It’s hilarious.
Yeah, I think McCain needs to be “A” word broken. The guy is really pushing it …
remember when mccain was the media’s darling….he must be hearbroken not to have his old gray lady on his side anymore….
McCain, in case you don’t know it, other media outlets that are in the tank for Obama: CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, PBS, etc. Let those soak in for now and when you’ve grasped the reality, we’ll give you more of that list.
Who didn’t know? We need to pass a law for truth in MSM. Just have them give a disclaimer what their position is. There is no more objective media.
There is no more objective media.
Too be fair, if the drive by media weren’t all in for Obama, does anyone think the communist Obama would get 30% of the vote?
vickisoup, i just got through reading it; and, yes, the Obamitler camp gave these with a straight face as the indepth investigative reporting that was done by the NYT on Obamitler. Oh, how it was terrifying and so probing! GASP!
How long ago was that? Really, how many years ago was that? After the Iseman story you are still trotting out this tired old line?
You have as much MDS as obermann. At least he is open about supporting Obama.
Note to Team McCain: Word on the street is that The View isn’t partial to republicans or conservatives either if the opportunity to go on there comes up again.
I just saw the most one sided report on NBC Nightly news concerning the tax proposals of both candidates. It was simply a reading of the BO press release. I say again, there is no objective media, anymore. The arrogant MSM still thinks we don’t know.
McCain finally got a clue. Amazing. Next time ask Professor Plum or Col Mustard.
I’d like to buy a clue please.
There are many people that still debate whether the mainstream media is biased. That just shows how biased it is by any measure. McCain must be one of those not paying attention.
Well it is a bit late, but at least it’s something. On the media note, though, I hope you all had a chance to catch the clip on Gateway Pundit of a McCain/Palin supporter at a town hall meeting chastising the press directly at the back of the room. PRICELESS. But they still won’t get it.
T-Bone, if this bailout goes through or if Obama is elected, none of us will be able to afford to buy a clue!
Maybe he heard it from Hillary.
On the positive side, this clearly means they haven’t been reading the NYTrash for some time.
Oh but vickisoup…the “govnmunt” will be giving everyone “free” clues…you know…like universal health care and only the REALLY wealthy will be paying taxes.
Chickens have come home to roost….
The next big bailout in 2012 -
Healthie Mac Mae
for all the health insurance bills that came overdue
Well, with the dollar p;lunging and no jobs, the illegal immigration problem is solved….
Looks like they’re having another epiphany:
Q.
Which nominee for President of the United States is homophobic and has a gay chief of staff at his Senate office in Washington, DC?
A. John McCain
His Chief of Staff Mark Buse was just outed by some of his gay friends – simply Amazing.
Well, I’ll be broke after these bailouts but there will be some chickens roosting nearby so I can eat.
I can use the NYT to start the fire for cooking.
In every cloud there is a silver lining.
McAmnesty is an old angry horse’s ass. He is NO ONE that I want as president, but I will bite the bullet and vote for the foolish old goat because the actuarial tables give me hope that Sarah Palin will get a shot at the main seat very, very, very soon, and that her conservative values could keep America sane.
Well Tarpon,
There hasn’t been a vote yet, he very well may tank to McGovern levels once the general public actually gets a strong whiff in October.
ilovemycountry, your point? Or is this just a hyjack dump of your trollish poop? I for one do not care about the sexual orientation of anyone’s chief of staff, as I prefer to remain on the issues. Your Obamitler is a little too much like a Nazi for my taste, the National Socialism spewing from him and his staff is what concerns me most. Sexual orientation, not so much…
So, it’s ok now to talk about a candidate’s associations?
Alright then. Let’s talk about how Obama’s finance advisor, Franklin Raines, made out like a bandit while he was in charge of Fannie Mae. I know this is nothing compared to outting a gay staffer, but some people may think it’s important.
I got excited by the AP Yahoo Poll!!!!
There is hope that we can beat the dope!
The taxing-black-hole-Big-eared-Monkey-pooping-on-McAmnesty might not win!
Goooo Palin
Back before the last election, saw the editor of Newsweek on tv saying that the MSM behind Kerry was worth about 15 points. The current support must be worth at least twice that for Mr. Obama.
And on what evidence do you contend John McCain is afraid of homosexuals?
Idiot.
Yawn.
Is this going to become a monthly post so that we are subjected to your
PMSMDS, Michelle?Team McCain has discovered it. I doubt that McCain has though.
atheling, why don’t you engage in your unnatural love for McCain somewhere out of sight?
This is so silly.
No, it is embarrassing to the McCain campagn. Yes, the NYTimes leans left, and it always has. But, to complain and whine about it now is bashing the messenger (yes, a well known leftist messenger) and not dealing with the message.
I don’t want another President who hems and haws about what is being said by who. I want a President who recognizes they are in the bully pulpit. I want a candidate who recognizes that their words carry some serious weight, and regardless of who delivers the message, the message will get through.
Pres Reagan said he will go over the heads of Congress directly to the people. Presidential Candidates should do the same thing. Go over the heads of the likes of the NYTimes directly to the people. There are ways, and stop whineing.
Yes, it is indeed “simply amazing” that some of his “friends” outed him for what I assume they thought was political gain.
But that’s the sort of people that Democrats are. They would urinate on their own mothers grave if they thought it might give them political power.
And that Gibson fella ought to be disinvited from all debates in future.
Just heard on the CNN news on the radio that Obama is increasing his lead due the financial crisis. He is getting help from all this bad news while, he has no alternatives himself except runnning for president. Off topic, it would be curious who AQ is trying to help if they do have an October Surprize next month?
I have no love for McCain, but I know MDS when I see it. And I find your question rather amusing, as it seems that you’re the one who is engaged in going “elsewhere” since you got banned by Allahpundit for your racist comment today.
You’re a loser, troll.
Don’t believe CNN or the polls. Their sampling is imbalanced. They want everyone to believe that Obama is going to win in order to keep the money coming in.
As I have said before, the New York Times is planning for their 11/05 headline to read “It’s Obama In ‘08″, but instead it will be “Obama Wins Only 8″, and they are California, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Delaware, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut; I have heard also that 9 out of 10 three legged dogs are pulling for Obama, so at least he has that going for him.
Oooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh——
On September 22nd, 2008 at 7:01 pm, Bill Grant said:
If I recall, they were praising Big Mac during the primaries when they wanted him to win.
It was only after it was clear that he was the nominee that they pulled out the hatchet.
P.S. I’m not voting for McCain. Just for Palin.
Watch out for the elimination of the Fairness Doctrine, potentially the most serious legacy of a Pelosi-Reid-Obama triumvirate. They will squelch all dissent in our supposedly free republic. McCain-Palin must win for the sake of America’s great tradition!
PHOTOS of the RALLY in Florida added. Update Flordia enthusiastic for McCain/Palin.

John McCain looked into the soul of the New York Times and saw that it was a good paper. Then it launched series of coordinated attacks to destroy his campaign. Tanks. A lot.
If McCain is not a fool, he is certainly advised by several. As Putin himself said: “It is the Court that makes the King,” and if the court is composed of fools, then . . .
If McCain had listened to his base or, perhaps, read MM.com, he would have been healthy, wealthy, and wise, or at least two out of three. Heck, even George could probably clue him in by now: Liberals and their rags are not your friends. They really, really don’t like you.
Something tells me I won’t get any points for this.
The only person I see here who is “deranged” about McMoron is you, troll.
Lucky for you that Michelle is a lot more easy going that that idiot AP, or you witless “PMS” comment would have gotten you tossed in the garbage where you belong.
Watch out, or halfing will accuse you of having PMS.
I don’t know, he may change his mind next week…
Well, the NYT is a start. Now, how about the rest of the MSM?
However you might feel about Michelle’s post, your post #39 was rude and unnecessary. Disagreeing is one thing. Suggesting what you did was juvenile at best, sexist at worst.
You’re usually much, much better than that, atheling.
Better late than never…
The NYT is NOT left wing….
If people want a rah rah cheerleader for a journalist, ther are plenty of those on the other side…Michelle Malkin is giving us facts which we may check out at our leisure, and challenge as we desire…I’d rather have someone not play favorites with issues or people…frankly John McCain has for too long looked upon certain groups as his allies when he should have been and be much more wary.
AS I said earlier, “Better late than never”
No, he’s not. That’s pretty much his standard level of commenting.
Salt:
She’s posted this before. It’s boring, repetitive and a waste of bandwidth. I’ve noticed a pattern here with Michelle and I’m calling her on it. Got a problem with that? Frankly, I do not consider ANY journalist above reproach and criticism, whether conservative or liberal. It’s exactly that kind of blind worship of journalists (of either bias) that has created the problem we have with the media in America today.
Journalists are not perfect. They are human with the same foibles, errors, and bias as any of us lesser mortals, and I cringe when I see people here who think MM should run for office. That’s idiotic. She is no more qualified to run for POTUS than Obama.
Her repeated post on this subject gives me cause to wonder if she just enjoys hearing all her slavish MDS-infected followers slam McCain, and I think that’s a waste of time and only serves the cause for Obama’s campaign.
Michelle Malkin should be better than that.
Some people encourage us to “hold his feet to the fire”, but they seem to want us to do it after we vote for him.
Right now we have as much leverage over McCain as we’ll ever have. If he won’t listen to us now then he won’t listen to us at all.
flenser:
I see you are still smarting from having the door slam on your a** at HotAir, and with good cause. Your comments were worthless there, as they are here.
Loser troll.
flenser:
What is this “we” business? You’re not even an American.
Go back to that rock from where you crawled, troll.
No, dipstick, you are boring, repetitive and a waste of bandwidth. If a conservative web site is not your cup of tea then perhaps you should
wander back over to HotAir, where you post under a different name and make the same stupid comments about AP.Ok, scratch that. I guess you could try Red State. That seems about your speed.
flenser:
I see I’ve really got your goat today by bringing up your being banned by Allahpundit.
Nowhere else to go, troll?
The “good cause” being that AP is a lot more kindly to lefty scum like you than he is to conservatives, I suppose?
No, you libtard, that would be you. I’m both an American and a military vet.
Note for McCain:
Water = wet
Fire = hot
The left thinks the right is horrified and/or horrified of teh gheys. And they imagine that just knowing McCain employed a pillow-biter will send religious conservatives into a tizzy. We’re actually much more live-and-let-live than they give us credit for.
I’m not a McCain supporter, but I can’t help but think an effective ad for McCain would be for him to speak into the camera and say something like, “My fellow Americans, I know in good times, we can take a chance on someone new and unproven. But tough times lie ahead of us. We are facing unprecedented economic and strategic challenges. It’s not the time to roll the dice and hope for the best. It’s the time for real leadership. Proven leadership.”
No one forced you to post, atheling. It’s ironic to call it boring and a waste and then find the time to comment and be insulting on top of it.
I have no problem with calling out someone if they have their facts wrong. I also don’t care if you call on someone if you disagree with them. What you did was suggest that her only reason for posting was because she was a hormonal female. That is sad.
Yet, I suppose you consider yourself above reproach for a rude response.
Glad you were here then. We wouldn’t want anyone making up their own mind about Michelle’s post. /sarc
So to make up for the fact that some here like to complement Michelle (hyperbole or not), you’ll malign her for being a woman?
Salt:
For crying out loud, I’m a woman too! And guess what? Women jive each other for PMS and other irrational behavior, just as men would.
Really, this isn’t 5th grade anymore.
And like I said, she has posted this before, and I’m sure we can look forward to another exact same post again, and I’ll bring it up again.
You know, while we’re at it, I’ll bring up other things I’ve noticed which has caused me to lose a lot of respect for Michelle Malkin.
1. She has posted this exact same post before, which means she either suffers from a poor memory, or just enjoys engaging in MDS, and bringing it out in all of her followers. It’s a gratuitous post and unworthy of her.
2. She quoted John McCain speaking to Hispanic voters, and used that quote to prove that he supports amnesty (true), but she failed to insert the rest of his quote (yes, I went to the link and read the entire speech) in which he said that we MUST build The Fence to that audience. The fact that she omitted that statement makes me wonder about her honesty as a journalist, as it seems that she wants everyone to believe that he does not want The Fence.
3. She has posted on Jeremiah Wright being back again, using the title, “G**damn America!” (omission mine). It really upset and offended many of us Christian (and Jewish) readers here that she took the Lord’s name in vain, and when several of us asked her to change it, she did nothing.
Those are just off the top of my head for now. I’m sure she will provide more reasons in the future, as this election progresses.
In the unlikely event that that’s true, is it supposed to excuse your behavior?
In God’s name, go!
Wander back to HA and post under one of your many alises about how much you hate Allah. Don’t stay here where you don’t have “respect” for the blogger.
He doesn’t want the fence, you leftwing dipstick.
You are as much a Christian as Obama is. Spare me your sanctimonious blabbering.
And the Lords’ name is not “God”. Just FYI.
The hookers in Nam put LSD in his grass.
Salt:
Really, it’s not just MM. During this election season we saw that Peggy Noonan showed us that she is type who talks one way in Scranton, and another in San Francisco.
It just goes to show that any journalist who makes it big time is part of the “intelligentsia” class, making them further removed from those of us who bitterly cling to our guns and religion.
And who didn’t know that the MSM would turn on McCain like a Black Widow on her mate after he got the nomination?
Duh McCain, just duh…

You know, you really are an idiot flenser.
Yes, McCain wants to build the “G-D fence” all right.
Got any other Obama talking points you want to share? What about accusing Palin of having PMS?
How goes your campaign to save Israel, Bill Grant?

Gee, when you shine some light on flenser he scurries back under the fridge…
How goes your campaign to learn the definition of “socialist”? Is there any other rudimentary words I can teach you flenser?
Voter epiphany! McCain is a left-wing hack.
I’m not faulting your desire to disagree, just the manner in which you did it. Being a woman doesn’t suddenly make it okay in my opinion.
I get that you’re frustrated, either because you’re a strong McCain supporter or really dislike Obama, but your own posts suggest that Michelle has been rather consistent in her concern about McCain’s pandering to the left. It’s not as though she suddenly switched at some point. It seems more likely that you share some of the frustration that many here express that Michelle doesn’t support McCain more now that it’s September. It’s an angst born out, I believe, by the fact that Michelle has not changed, rather than that she has.
I stand by my previous statement that I thought the PMS comment was rude. I say that as someone that would also like to see more support for McCain, but won’t write him a blank check, either. Michelle’s opinion isn’t going to make or break this election. That’s for Sen. McCain to win or lose.
If anyone doubts that the NY Times is an extension of the Obama campaign, just read the Tuesday article about McCain’s debate plans. The writer of the article states matter of factly that “McCain will distort the record” of Obama. This is not in an editorial, mind you but in the body of a news article. Then read the separate article about Obama’s plans. There is not a word about Obama ever “distorting” the record or views of any opponent. Not a word about Obama falsely stating that McCain wants “one hundred years of war” in Iraq, not a word about Obama referring to the “Bush-McCain tax plan” (that McCain voted against), not a word about Obama running ads that accuse McCain of antiHispanic racism. This is the same New York Times that has such “objective” reporters as Christopher Hedges, Seymour Hersch, Anthony Lewis, and Walter Duranty.
Indeed Atheling, this has been a season where I have seen the above too with so-called conservative politiicians and theologians holding hands with libs.
I also admit there are some days I don’t even go on the internet here or anywhere because I need a break from this season of insanity…however, I will still cut Michelle Malkin a break, even though I can see your points tonight on what you have brought up….I don’t think though she has gone against her established viewpoints that I have seen her developed over the years…if I saw that then I would be perturbed.
Yup, Salt. And it’s not very reassuring to find McCain is just now getting a clue about the NYT. Someone should have him write “The media is not my friend” 1000 times on a chalkboard. Then he should run against it – Americans at heart are not fond of the MSM and he would get a lot of average Joe cred & mileage if he took it to task with some “plain talk”.

That will be the next demand from the think tank…
*Pssst…Senator McCain and the rest of the McCain Campaign staff…it isn’t just the New York Times. It is 99% of all print and video media. Just a friendly “heads up”.
Only if they are thinking. McCain doesn’t have much time left to figure it out. Forget seeking admiration from the media and, instead, tag it as being totally in the tank for Obama.
If his camp really has it’s thinking cap on it would catagorize the upccming debates as a “tag team match”; McCain vs. Obama & the media. Even SNL nailed the medias’ adoring & fawning over Obama over Clinton in it’s debate skits.
What RetFireman just said bears repeating:
It’s an ad hominem attack. What the NYTimes wrote is true. McCain’s top campaign people worked for Fannie, Freddie, and the banking industry. They pushed the fairness in lending act that McCain criticized yesterday.
Care to offer up proof lgm, or are you just talking out of your lower orifice again.
The fact that JUAN’s camp is now noticing this is amazing… Isn’t this the RAG that was in the tank for OL’ JUAN during the primary??? HOW QUICK THEY TURN!!!
/IGNORE_LGM ON
cool.. it works…
B. Hussein Obama receives all his economic advice from Franklin Raines and Jim Johnson, the former heads of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac - the very institutions which began the DOWNFALL of our economy!
The NYT has again misplaced it priorities in divining which party’s lobbyists are more corrupt when, clearly, it is Obama’s.
Obama is unready to be President!
