Newspaper hires fake Sarah Palin

By Michelle Malkin  •  September 23, 2008 11:09 AM

The NY Daily News paid a Sarah Palin look-a-like to wander around the city and provoke reactions.

The Daily News must have been disappointed — because they loved the fake Sarah in The Big Apple as much as the real one.

***

Commenter SpeakEasy recommends another experiment for the Daily News:

“Try the same tactic with a fake Sandra Bernhardt acting like she normally does and see what happens.”

I live an hour north of the city, there’s not an Obama yard sign in sight. I could, however, walk from my house to the post office on the McCain – Palin signs without my feet hitting pavement.

Also, not for nothing, but I notice that to get a convincing Palin impersonator they had to hire someone 16 years younger than the genuine article. That’s gotta make Sarah feel pretty good :)

That McCain/Palin rally in Pennsylvania had some suprise guests from NY state, Orange County Choppers. The boys brought that awesome POW-MIA custom bike they built last year.

After Sarah introduced them they rode that chopper right up on the stage and showed it to McCain up close. The crowd went NUTS. Sarah was her usual beautiful, cheerful patriotic self.

    Pretty darn cool.

That’s comforting, James. I was born and raised over your way in the Bedford Central School District, and when my family moved out 10 years ago, it seemed that every Clinton/lib from NYC had moved north to our region. It was very disappointing to see the neighborhood turn like that.

The left’s problem with Palin is, she disproves their hypothesis of the nature of reality. To them, because of their belief system, she’s the equivalent of a person levitating. Of course no one can do that. There must be wires, or some other optical illusion. By the very example of her life, she challenges their own ingrained attitudes and beliefs. They squeal because they can’t stand to be wrong. It’s remarkable to watch.

As far as the fake Sarah.. She’s obviously a non-Republican (go a couple of links down and look at the photo series captions of her walking around NYC.)

Even though she is a fake, I would still take the comedian with her experience level over Obama/Biden.

I don’t know if many “downstaters” even know that much about Upstate New York. Many New York City dwellers think that they and they alone represent the state of New York.

Between New York City and Albany, the Upstate region has been forgotten. It’s an economic dead zone that liberals pretend doesn’t exist when they’re asked what exactly they’ve done for Upstaters.

There’s not only a cultural gulf in the US but in New York as well.

And did you read the comments? People saying it is the Republicans who have come up with this whole bail out issue. Someone really needs to tell these idiots in this country that the Republicans have not run the Congress for two years and everything that has driven this country into the port-a-potty since the Dems took over is directly tied back to what the Dems have done or failed to do. It isn’t us anymore.

This is really showing just how few people actually read or keep up to date on politics and what is going on in this country, and instead will believe any snippet or soundbite uttered to them from any low life willing to tell the lies. It is the age of Kos and DU, and they have these Liberals and “Independents” dancing so well with their lies and distortions.

If you believe in nothing, you will believe anything, and they are living proof.

Am I to believe that of all the people in Times Square, the only one who wished her well and shook her hand just happened to be a Lehman Brothers employee? Clearly the idea here is to make the reader think that such companies as Lehman Brothers are in the tank for McCain.

LOL!! Good one! It really does reveal the core of the Democrat party, and the lip service they employ with women to garner their votes. They do the same with blacks, hispanics and any other group they need to use to dupe people into voting for them. That’s why nothing ever gets “fixed” with respect to the social issues the Dems are always carping about.
