ROTFLMAO, I just put in an order for a couple of signs: “Dump Amnesty”, “You Report, we Deport”, “Just Say No to Amnesty”, etc. that I will be holding up next Saturday at Palin’s event in Carson.

Uh, er, John, I can practically guarantee you that the Secret Service or some McCain muscle will make you lose the signs. I heard that there were “No Amnesty” signs and banners taken into the GOP convention and they were summarily disposed of. Try to hide ‘em if you can and at least get them on camera for a sec! Why is it that liberals can’t debate on this site without resorting to calling names? I know some conservatives here do the same thing, but just about every liberal, in the end, resorts to name-calling (Chapoutier is the lone exception – that I can think of right now).

Flenser’s point is that the party’s nominee for president is nominally the head of the party. Obama’s trip to Washington turned out to be a bust. He came off looking as if he was responding to McCain, then he managed to turn an “agreement” into a non-agreement. This whole episode is a huge stumble for Obama and that must have you tied up in knots.
