The Obama Children’s Chorus

By Michelle Malkin  •  September 30, 2008 11:52 AM

Everyone’s asking me to post the “Sing for Change” video linked on Drudge. If you don’t want to ruin your lunch, don’t watch. To paraphrase the Other Michelle, this Mao-like music is not helping my children.

Or my ears:

***

Commenter Brian NY: “Wow, that looked like Bill and Bernadine’s sun room in Hyde Park. Why did they leave out the verse about our ‘Glorious Leader’ and ‘two legs baaad, four legs gooood?’”

I am reminded of this:

***

Who’s behind this? Hollyweird libs and MSM moguls, of course.

    “Revolution” by Lennon/McCartney

You say you want a revolution
    Well you know
We all want to CHANGE the world
You tell me that it’s evolution
    Well you know
We all want to CHANGE the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don’t you know you can count me out
Don’t you know it’s gonna be alright
    Alright Alright

You say you got a real solution
    Well you know
We’d all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
    Well you know
    We’re doing what we can
But when you want money for people with minds that hate
All I can tell you is brother you have to wait
Don’t you know it’s gonna be alright
    Alright Alright

You say you’ll change the constitution
    Well you know
We all want to CHANGE your head
You tell me it’s the institution
    Well you know
You better free your mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao
You ain’t going to make it with anyone anyhow
Don’t you know know it’s gonna be alright
    Alright Alright

Things like this make me thank my father every day that he kept me from going through the idiot liberal stage that most kids go through. We may not have been out playing catch every day, but we did something even better; watched Pres Reagan together. Watch a speech, and then he would explain. He made sure I understood very early that success or failure was up to me and me alone.

On another side note; I am thankful we now have two people being looked at for the 2012 race that I think Reagan would be proud of. Palin/Jindal 2012

    1) China will retake Taiwan if/when their Navy has superior strength and can rebuke any attempt by our Navy to stop them (that’s what they mean by “Drown the American Agressors”)

    2) What do you mean “starting”? Obama’s speech on March 18th, 2008 lit me up because of it’s strong undertones of Communist Revolution, fueled by division and warfare between “races” and “classes”, and writing a new and “more perfect” Communist Constitution. I pulled a “Michelle Malkin” and stayed up all night writing Obama Nation: Using Racism In Order To Form A More Socialist Union

    A note to our military:
If Obama steals the election, and tries to CHANGE our Constitution in any way other than the Constitutionally-approved amendment process, then he would no longer be your Commander-in-Chief. Your oath is to defend the Constitution, and if the President does not honor the Constitution, your loyalty is to the Constitution, not the President.

It’s rather fluffy and nondescript really.

But I suppose if you’re willing to plunk down $20 dollars each for each kids’ tee-shirt, it’s a worthwhile investment. Rather than actually having a discussion with people they simply point to their shirt and say “Vote Obama! No more Bush!”

    True.

That is why the far left has been fighting the “Culture War” against the “Ultra-Right”. In repeated attempts since the Communist Manifesto was written in 1848, the far left has learned that they can not get the complete political revolution they desire without first winning a cultural revolution.

Mr. Ayers, who in 1970 was said to have summed up the Weatherman philosophy as: ”Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that’s where it’s really at,” is today distinguished professor of education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. And he says he doesn’t actually remember suggesting that rich people be killed or that people kill their parents, but ”it’s been quoted so many times I’m beginning to think I did,” he said. ”It was a joke about the distribution of wealth.

    1) To say “It was a joke…” implies that he did actually say it.
    2) No joke.
    3) Some Hitler Youth turned over their own parents to be killed.
    4) Socialists/Communists want re-”distribution of wealth”.

So like when do they strap bombs to their little bodies and send them into the nearest military recruiting office? Are they going blow themselves up exclusively at the local neighborhood Republican campaign headquarters? Or will they bomb some churches as well?

    Think I’m kidding? Guess again.

They will simply seize the churches by emminent domain, thanks to the Kelo decision. I believe that was part of the thinking behind the decision, not published, of course.

Its all pathetic really, so I’ve started my own counter-grassroots indoctrination program.

I have become the after-school bus home for my teenage daughters friends. While I am driving them, I just ask them random questions about what they, their friends, their teachers and their parents think about the election.

The usual answer I get is “Obama” and “Bush is stupid”.

I dont come out and argue that Obama is the wrong choice either. I just treat them as adults and let them think about what I ask them. I tell them to think about WHY they made their original answers (the usual answer is “I dont know”) and they should not just take for granted what anyone else tells them.

3 of them are now realizing that Republicans are probably the better answer.

Last night, my daughter even video-taped Glenn Beck’s CNN segment on her cell phone and sent the video to her friends. (That was her idea and caught me completely by surprise)

What is depressing and even more frightening than Obama is not that the average voter does not care about this kind of thing. They are involved in whatever their life is, have little interest in politics, and give these things a passing glance.

What is depressing and frightening is the media, who HAS the information, sees it, understands it and still gives Obama a pass. If Hillary, Biden, Dodd or someone like them were running, I can understand their supporting their choice.

But Obama is not like any of them; the plane, the logo, the Greek temple, ACORN, Bill Ayers, the Truth Squads, little Mao-like kiddie chorus’, etc. With all that evidence you see the media, ALL OF THEM, providing aid and comfort to him. It is astonishing.

I used to marvel how in a country like Germany a Hitler could come to power. Now I see how frightenly easy it can be.

American sentiments do not abide with this sort of cult-like praise and worship towards a person. Our country exists because we DIDN’T want this sort of adoration for someone.

Obama’s sentiments are alien to everything with regard to our nation’s foundation, heritage, and history. He would destroy its foundation and heritage if he could. He would plunge the world into a dark age of personality cult worship focused upon himself if he could.

The Bible tells us that there would be anti-Christs, and Obama is definitely one of them.

have you noticed that with both Kelo and this latest “bailout bill,” the urge is to use economics against itself?

every government seizure is being “spun” as an economic development or job-growth incentive.

when, in fact, the government is taking property away from one person or corporation, and becoming a owner/broker in its redistribution.

I’m sure those kids were free not to sing the song. Oh, you don’t think so…me neither.

We must take great care with our children and elderly, as we often must make decisions for them. Whoever made this decision needs to take a long good look at themselves, if that will do any good. I find liberals don’t like to question themselves. They should in this case. We’re talking child abuse. Yes we can indoctrinate children, but not politically. That’s not appropriate.

People who do these sorts of things want child indoctrination. I prefer free thinking. Many people supporting Obama really believe that Obama will fix the world, not by doing anything, rather by mearly living in the White House. Mysteriously, the world will transform itself from the scarey place created by the republicans and become a wonderful Disney world. The sad thing is that Obama believes this too!

Exactly. When Kelo came down, I remember having a discussion with my old masters of public policy professor (a wonderful old liberal — we still keep in contact. He’s crazy but always worth a good laugh), and I told him the first thing that would happen is that governments would start going after nonprofit land-owners, i.e. churches. He laughed and laughed, thinking that would never happen. No sooner did it pass than some southern churches began getting seized by local govts in the name of economic development and expanding the tax base.

(Sorry gang, ran a little off base there… back to the topic.)

This is a nauseatingly-clear example of the radical-left’s political agenda gone mad, mad to the point of child abuse.
Given the right doseage of carefully-spoonfed propaganda, any group of children can easily be convinced to sing songs in favour of, or against, just about anything–because they really don’t know what they’re singing, only that the words make them ‘feel good.’
History is replete with analogies: The Red Guards of China, the teenage worshipers of that odd fellow from Vienna back in ’33, the Young Pioneers of the USSR, the Khmer Rouge of Cambodia: All children, all happily singing and marching in support of an adult agenda, all firmly believing that they can ‘make a difference’ and ‘change the world for the better’.
    This is just NOT right!
