Kill the bailout: Dodd makes me gag

By Michelle Malkin  •  October 1, 2008 03:52 PM

I’m trying to stomach the Senate floor “debate” on the trillion-dollar-plus Crap Sandwich — which isn’t a debate at all.

Let me boil it down for you so far: Over the past 45 minutes, I’ve watched GOP Senator after GOP Senator heaping praise on Chris Dodd for his “leadership.”

Unscrupulous borrower Dodd has now taken the floor to cite a Washington Post article quoting some German person urging Americans to support the bailout because he’s innocent and he’s getting hurt by financial uncertainty.

Having cited an Absolute Moral Authority abroad, Dodd has circled back to his “predatory lending” and anti-greed screeds.

Ahem: Crumbling Financial Giants Gave Generously To Dodd

Ahem: Dodd knew since 2003

Ahem: Chris Dodd: Unscrupulous borrower

God save us from bipartisanship.

Also, make sure you call the national campaign HQ of both parties to tell them how you feel and that you will be voting Nov 4th.

I just registered as a volunteer to go door-knocking for the challenger here in this district, to do what I can to make sure the incumbent doesn’t get re-elected.

The only way to stop “business as usual” in Washington is to throw all of them out come Nov 4th.

The GOP is going to get blamed for this crisis and with their behavior this last week I’d say they absolutely deserve it. If this is the best the GOP can do its time to blow up the party and start over.

The bailout will sail through the Senate for the simple reason that only one-third of the bums are up for re-election. The other 67 are banking on us forgetting what they are about to do to us in two to four years when their campaigns come back around looking for votes.

I just watched Alexis Glick and Shep Smith…two of the biggest shills on FOX state that without this bailout the sky will fall.
I am paraphrasing…but not by much.
For those of you who don’t know good old Alexis Glick is
nothing more than a creature of NBC. NBC is GE’S parent co. and she stated that GE was the bellwether of the economy.
Funny…that may have been true in the 60’s but now isn’t it really just known as Iran’s BFF?
Funny too…that Alexis “I-barely-have a-degree-in-anything-and-I-am-hardly the-financial-expert-FOX-wants-you-to believe” Glick didn’t bother to tell you, the viewer, about her major conflict of interest before she started shooting her big mouth off.
    An example….
I know wiki is not that reliable but I double checked all this and it’s true…check out her connections. These are the tools that are shoving this “crap sandwich” down our throats..

“She had worked as a temporary host for the third hour of NBC’s Today Show in 2006. Glick was also a substitute anchor on Early Today in February 2005 and an occasional anchor on MSNBC Live. Previously, Glick was a senior business correspondent for CNBC. Glick’s appearances on Today came to an end, and she was replaced by Natalie Morales. It was announced on September 12, 2006 that Glick would be joining the Fox News Channel as Director of Business News. Glick began appearing on Fox News programming in July of 2007.

Before being removed as a contributor to Today in February 2006, Glick had been considered a possible heir to Katie Couric as host of Today, a post Couric held from 1991-2006. However, Today’s executive producer, Jim Bell, called such speculation “nonsense” and said that Glick’s increasing face-time on the program is intended to give her greater “experience to be part of the best team in morning TV.” [1] When Couric announced her departure from Today to anchor the CBS Evening News, the co-host slot was filled by Meredith Vieira on April 6, 2006.

    [edit] Pre-broadcasting career

A New York, NY native, Glick earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Columbia University, and began her career as an analyst at Goldman Sachs in the Equities Division.

Glick traded consumer and entertainment stocks, utility and real estate investment trusts and most notably, the financials including banks, credit card stocks, government agencies and insurance stocks at Morgan Stanley. She was also one of the top producers on the companies Listed Equity Trading Desk from 1998 through 2001.

She served as Head of the New York Stock Exchange Floor Operations and became the first woman to manage a Floor Operation for a bulge bracket firm. A member of the New York Stock Exchange since September 2002, she was also one of the youngest women to ever achieve the rank of Executive Director at Morgan Stanley.

Gosh, I wonder why she is so for the bailout……snark.

The Democrats are always able to control the news cycle with their accomplices in the Drive-By Media, and no doubt will do so up to and beyond November 5th. McCain and his campaign better pull their brain buckets out of their hind quarters and get on it!

Goldman Sachs is run by Communists. Seriously. People like Jon Corzine (who voted against the confirmation of Chief Justice John Roberts, then became Governor of New Jersey and chose his own replacement for the US Senate…who then voted against the confirmation of Justice Samuel Alito) and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson ran Goldman Sachs as chief executive.

I suspect that at least part of your motivation for running for President is that you feel you never lived up to the example of your father and grandfather. I suspect you think that by becoming President (Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces) you will have actually outdone the two Admirals.

But John, you’ll never achieve that dream if you vote in favor of this bill.

Frankly, I don’t think there are 12 people in the House that have backbone enough to stand up to the pressure and do the right thing. Of course, for the GOP is might be a little easier since Bush has virtually no ability to pressure GOP House members.

    Mister P,
    This is no laughing matter.

CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS (January 10, 1963)

    1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

    2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

    3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

    4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

    5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

    6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

    7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

    8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

    9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

    10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

    11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

    12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

    13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

    14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

    15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

    16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

    17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

    18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

    19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

    20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

    21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

    22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”

    23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”

    24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

    25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

    26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

    27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”

    28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

    29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

    30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”

    31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

    32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture–education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

    33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

    34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

    35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

    36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

    37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

    38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

    39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

    40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

    41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

    42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.

    43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

    44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

    45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

TASK :- To Shoot Yourself In The Foot

C: You shoot yourself in the foot.

C++: You accidentally create a dozen instances of yourself and shoot
them all in the foot. Providing emergency medical assistance is
impossible since you can’t tell which are bitwise copies and
which are just pointing at others and saying, “That’s me, over
    there.”

FORTRAN: You shoot yourself in each toe, iteratively, until you run out
of toes, then you read in the next foot and repeat. If you run
out of bullets, you continue with the attempts to shoot
yourself anyways because you have no exception-handling
    capability.
