Kill the bailout: Operation Hold The Line
The massive, unprecedented trillion-dollar-plus (remember, they just pulled the figure from thin air) Bailout Crap Sandwich With Sugar On Top returns to the House. A vote is expected on Friday. I keep hearing and reading that public opposition to this rushed-through monstrosity has “softened” in the wake of the Senate’s approval last night. I’m not sure why the bailout pimps keep touting that talking point when countless Americans trying to express their vehement disapproval can’t even get through the FUBAR House e-mail system!
Now is the time for the fiscal conservative House Republicans who voted against the bailout on Monday (before it ballooned to four times its size) to buckle down. Refuse to be bought off. Refuse to be co-opted by the Orwellian “It’s a ‘rescue,’ not a bailout” propaganda ministers. Refuse to be pressured and panicked and bullied by the Apocalyptics. Refuse to submit to Pelosi/Frank/Paulson’s collective will. Refuse to flip-flop. Refuse to swallow.
The bailout peddlers need 12 Republicans to turn. The payoffs are in the works:
“We need 100 Republican votes to pass this,” House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer told reporters at a Wednesday afternoon briefing.
House leaders “are bringing in the small business lobby and the banking lobby to buy the 12 Republican votes they need,” said Bob Borosage, the co-director of the progressive group Campaign for America’s Future.
To quote the great Lady Thatcher: “This is no time to go wobbly.”
The People’s House needs to hear from the people. Get your fingers dialing for Operation Hold The Line. Because so many of you asked, I’ve compiled the phone numbers for each and every one of the House GOP members who voted no on Monday. They need to hear from you again. Area code is 202 for all numbers:

And people think Palin has an IQ problem…Nan’s dumber than a post. And I apologize to fences everywhere.
Out of all of this, there is a bit of “good” news. Illegal immigration is down because of the economy…so says the fox news site. On the other hand, it could be because the illegals have run out of places to move into, because there is so many of them. I hear some of them have actually given up and moved back home. Now there’s a reason not to support the bailout. Companies tighten up their credit giving, and the illegals all go home.
Do these reps from both parties really want to be the ones who only said “No” until the bill had MORE pork???
I called them all. Thank you Michelle Malkin for making it easier. You Rock! & may we prevail.
It AMAZES me how many here who stood behind Bush and ridiculed Ron Paul over and over again don’t seem to realize that Paul was right and predicted exactly what is happening. And I didn’t support Paul-(I supported Romney …but not many choices were given to us) Also those who blindly believe these pols as thought they can be trusted. Need I remind you they have the lowest favorability ratings in history…for a reason! It also seems to escape many that those who are all in favor of the pickpocketing of Americans wallets are all invested in receiving this money. Paulsens involvement with Goldman Sachs….and even allowing them to be involved in AIG’s bailout doesn’t seem to concern some here. Sorry I’m with Michele …this bailout is a crock and an investment in just more common thievery and anarchy.
I like your thinking. I felt the whole time the only way to get this invasion under control was some hard times. The pols certainly don’t have the backbone to stop it. PC is king. But a few hungry bellies always changes attitudes. Let there be 10% unemployment and you will see a serious change in attitudes by all the whiny liberals and pols toward illegal immigration. And a bailout at this point, even though may make people feel better in the short term, will return us to the status quo of lasseiz faire toward this horrific problem. I hate that it has come to this, but I think some hard times is exactly what this country needs. I know, I know, I am mean spirited and intolerant, but we are on the wrong course for a sustainable future and hard times is what always wakes people up to reality. Not to mention that those who saved (like the ant) will be rewarded for their efforts, while those that spent liek there is no tomorrow (the grasshopper) will be punished and hopefully learn a valuable lesson.
I’m pleased to announce that my Congressman, David Davis, is still opposed to this pile of excrement.
The person I spoke to sounded really tired btw. She said the calls have been mostly negative on this measure so I’m hopeful he’ll hold the line.
I’d really like a list of the Democratic Congressmen who voted no and their phone numbers too. We need to be calling them too! I think they are more likely to change their vote than the Republicans. Anyone have that list?
Anybody watching O’Reilly’s show right now? He’s really going after Barnie Frank, the most incompetent lib of going. I won’t be content until this idiot is taken away in handcuffs.
It’s a shootout.
Michelle: Damn it, but without we’re screwed. More effective use of bytes to go after Frank, Dodd, Raines, Johnson, CRA, all the regs and m-fers who placed loans in the hands of people with little ability or even inclination to pay off.

Give them a call and let ‘em know.
Just called Shadegg’s office again. Couldn’t even leave a message because the mail box is full. Same with Billbray.
These clowns are not going to listen. How arrogant they are as their political careers screech to a halt. We have to vote them out. What a helpless feeling to have the communication lines cut between the citizenry and their representatives.
