PDS Alert: MSNBC dolt calls Palin a dolt for doing what Obama did

Yes, it’s that slavering Chris Matthews at it again. His leg was not tingling last night. His mouth, however, was itching to tear down Sarah Palin.
Her sin? Looking into the camera (via Newsbusters):
You know what I think of people when they come on “Hardball,” and they look at the camera, I think they’re dolts.
If you watched the first presidential debate, then you noticed how much time Obama spent looking into the camera. The NYTimes praised him for it:
The differences were in no small part stylistic and visible with a glance to the stage: a 47-year-old black man who has been in the Senate for nearly four years standing at one lectern, facing a 72-year-old white-haired fixture of the Senate standing across from him. In many ways, Mr. Obama was a very different candidate than he was during the primary battles. He answered questions directly and affirmatively, typically looking right into the camera as he spoke.

Honestly…the only time I hear about these morons on MSNBC is through the WEB….I NEVER watch. In that vain, who does watch? The have low ratings and I assume they preach to the chior. Ignore them. they’ll eventually go away.

Listening to the news this morning, it was stated that Biden was being “gentle” with Palin, since he is much more experienced than she is. It implied that they want me to think she is some sort of stupid lady with no ability to be in politics. They just pour on the garbage, and think they are a “news” station.

One of the principles of public speaking is to speak to you audience. In this case the majority of that is in TV Land. They hate her for knowing that.

Looking into the camera wasn’t just the right thing for Obama, and Palin too, IIRC wasn’t Marylin Monroe given accolades for doing it as well? … something about knowing where the important people are … in a TV interview it’s on the other side of the camera, who ever’s doing the interview is just so much salad dressing.
Michelle and sarah are superheros. Here to save us from borat and hair plug man.
I don’t understand the “low expectations” the left and the MSM were putting on Gov. Palin.
Although this was the biggest debate by far of her career and on an exponentially larger scale, she has quite a bit of experience at them.
The work she did as a television reporter should have tipped off the lefties that she would be comfortable talking to the American people (looking into the camera) and clearly showed last night.
Matthews reaction just shows what a buffoon he is.
Regardless who wins, this campaign season has provided a number of confirmations and new insights.
1. The MSM media doesn’t attempt to hide their bias and the fact that they are trying to “push” Obama into the White House no matter what. At one time, there was an attempt to “appear” objective. Now they are so blatant you’d think they’d quit calling themselves journalists.

2. We suspected, but now know, what the feminists really wanted. Hint: it wasn’t for just any type of woman to succeed. Only man-hating, liberal, pro-death women to succeed.
3. The tolerance liberals always tout is no where to be found when the shoe is on the other foot and their beliefs are contradicted. They will lie; smear; and commit felonies to further their cause.
4. The Democratic Party will go so far as to have the economy tank or a war lost in order to win politically.
5. The liberal branch really does want this country to become socialist. Their platform speaks for itself.
I’m sure there are many more truths we have confirmed or learned anew from this debacle of a campaign.
Chris Matthews has no brain. He is a leftist supporter whose leg tingles for anything socialistic…or he has questionable hidden man-love for Obama.

I lived and worked overseas for many years and when I came back in 2004I found my high school sweetheart and am still with her today. She is also a conservative. Because of the slant of the LSM she made the remark last night about Sarah taking on the Oil Companies and having them pay royalties. I had to point out, while yes that was great what she did, even though the average Oil Company made a vast profit, they also paid nearly triple that profit in Taxes to Uncle Sugar. She looked at me and said I never knew that because “they” always talked about the obscene profits. Literally the LSM is nothing more than the Left Wing propaganda machine of the democRats as we have always known, it is just so blatant now that it cannot be overlooked.

Sarah Palin was completely charming and unsmarmy. At the start, she asked the Senator, “Can I call you Joe?” and she was kind-of giggling. What a down-to-earth breath of fresh air she is. (Too many cliches? Sorry.)
Biden had my head spinning with all the budget numbers and resolutions and bleh. He sounded like the old school entrenched insider she isn’t. She is the change we need.
Matthews is a bitter old man whose time has come and gone. He’s left with a cable show that even liberals won’t watch, despite the red meat he portions out each night. He’s as pathetic as Saliere at the end of ‘Amadeus’, mired in mediocrity, reduced to using his daughter to further his warped view of politics, and jealous of those whom God would gift with real talent.

You are exactly right. I have seen that those women who have “cracked the glass ceiling” are outraged that someone such as Sarah Palin can do it, too, and without their help.
I heard/read somewhere the other day that all those first “glass ceiling breakers” don’t want others to join them in their lofty perches. Jealous. Keep ‘em down.

I was interested to see a Dem vid being put on YouTube titled “Palin a better debater than you think” which shows that they were truly worried.
Biden held his own, and the media are trying to spin a victory for him, but if you watched, you know the truth.
Sportscasters and news readers do it as well. They’re actually speaking to their audience Chris, which are the viewers, not the dolts at the debate site. Get a clue as to who the target audience is. You are the dolt and a poor student of your own profession.

When the film was released it used a gimmick: a few seats in the theatre were rigged to give select movie-goers an electronic “tingle”. I’m guessing sitting through one of those showings as a child left the dolt Matthews with “tingle flashbacks”.
Moviegoers were told the only way to stop the “Tingler” from attacking them was to scream – a loud scream would stop the “Tingler” dead in it’s tracks. Today this same technique is oft-used by Matthews watchers.
Too bad there wasn’t a quick way to perform a root canal on Congress. That’s an abcess that needs immediate attention!

My son’s soccer games get more viewers than MSNBC. Wife and I use to watch them years ago. We now have them blocked on our TV as a porn station with a password required to watch, just so we don’t accidently turn to them.

I loved it when Palin told Biden and Ifill that she was going to answer the questions her way. Sort of shot across the bow of Ifill that if the question isn’t straight down the plate, it will be ignored. It also told Biden that she was there to play hardball her way and intended to let him have it with both barrels of her moose gun.
Of course, the MSM will try to trash what she said, but that is why they are losing viewership. Also, O’Reilly’s pointed attack on Barnie Frankie was more than appropriate. The Dems used Freddie and Frankie as their personal playground and money laundering operation. Maybe somebody ought to call it just that.

I have stopped watching Chris Matthews altogether. Well, actually, I pause when I see him… listen for a minute… roll my eyes… think, “Mr. Tingly Leg”, and THEN change the channel.,

I don’t know if anyone has said this yet…A liberal woman on Matthew’s show said Palin looked like a cartoon character! I have a feeling that all very liberal women look at Palin the same way. To them, she is not real. Who would believe like she does. Only most of the women in America, but they don’t get that! Ha! Then Pat Buchanan sang Palin’s praises to the heavens. He Loved her! I think that Joe Biden had a grudging respect for her. He just looked at her that way sometimes. At other times, he looked annoyed. But I really think he was surprised by her authenticity and tough but respectful approach.

Chris Matthews is the epitome of a dolt and has spent his entire adult life as a political parasite and a media whore. The real solution for him is to grab him by the collar and slap him up along side the head . . . then do it again after he starts crying.
The shame of it is that Matthews can say idiocy like this, and nobody is out there who will call him on it on the spot. I mean–MY GOD, how can ANYBODY hearing that not have thought about Obama doing the same thing repeatedly? I did not see this, but I’m sure that everybody on the program dutifully nodded.

Not that it matters, it just struck me as more appropriate here with the original words.
An interesting exercise for you. Go to Marketwatch.com and enter the stock symbol XOM (ExxonMobil) in the little search block at the top of the page. On the page that comes up click on the profile tab. About halfway down that page you will see a profit margin of 11.3%. Now enter other stock symbols you get:
GE – 13.1%
JNJ (Johnson & Johnson) – 17.3%
What you will find after doing just some basic research is that the oil companies are right in the middle of the pack. Anybody who calls for a windfall profit tax on the oil companies is not being honest. Why are oil companies profits obscene and light bulb and shampoo companies higher profit margins not obscene?
Anytime a presidential candidate or MSM reporter talks about oil companies obscene or record profits without also mentioning record expenses is presenting only one side of the ledger and is showing bias.
As Ed McMahon used to say to Johnny – “You are correct, Sir!”.

#60, CWinNY you beat me to it. The “obscene profits” the left loves to hate, are big in dollar terms because the oil business is huge, but average for business in general. Pharm runs around 18% and Finance (pre-meltdown) was in the 20s I believe. We need to call them on it every time. And most of their money goes back into insanely expensive capital projects.
This was a debate, not a panel discussion.
Speaking to the camera is not only correct but the most natural response.
The candidates should be speaking to we the television audience and to a lesser degree, the viewers in attendance.
In a televised debate, it’s all about connecting with your audience and Palin accomplished that splendidly.
Speaking of dolts, please explain Biden’s laughable statements about Hezbollah and Lebanon.
So Chris…considering how much time YOU spend looking into the camera…as well as yourself in your dressing room mirror, exactly what does that say to you?
Who is she supposed to look at? She is addressing the American Public, thus she is SUPPOSED to be loking at the camera you imbicile! What, was she supposed to do a Capt. Big Ears “Aw Shucks” and look at her feet while kicking the ground?
The real problem here is the fact that Matthews cannot abide by a strong woman who would look him in the eyes. He still thinks a woman should always look down at him and not in his puffy pink face.
Having a woman look him in the eyes intimidates him and makes him come to grips with what a little pretend male he is.

The figure does not include PBS or C-SPAN, which also showed the debate, but PBS estimated its audience at 3.5 million. Only the Superbowl drew a bigger audience.
