My email to McCain

Yea, the event is you and Palin running for the highest government positions in the free world and you've got cotton balls for balls. You are not running for the local PTA. Go out there and really use Ayers and Wright and ACORN. This tip-toeing is gonna cause you to lose.

Hard to believe the 'lets wait till 2012' attitude on this forum. As if there will be anything left to save by 2012. Everything that has been fought hard - amnesty being the foremost - will be not even issues then. It would have long been completed and part of the social fabric along with the completion of mortgage 'reparations'. The Dem party will have 20+ million new voters by then. There will be no swing states then - at most GOP might get Alaska and ND.

Agreed McCain is not gonna happen. But there are 550 house races and 20+ senate races. If we work toward getting a solid firewall to bog down the president, we might have a chance in 2012.

Time to fight is now.

I can only think of one possibility as to why McCain is not attacking the Dems for the current economic situation. It is he wants to be perceived as someone who can work on both sides of the aisle and if you are pointing the finger of blame it is difficult get those very people to want to help with a solution. Prime example, Pelosi’s statement blaming Republicans was used to explain why the first vote failed. So, like it or not I tend to agree that McCain/Palin need to stay above the fray on this one. But that does not mean the rank and file members can’t participate in the mud slinging, and this is a fight we could win easily with the facts and video on our side.
