Dude, where’s my bailout?
Looks like we’re not the only taxpayers mad about the Great Crap Sandwich Forcefeeding of 2008.
This is a sample of anti-bailout products recently created and now for sale by Internet entrepreneurs at CafePress. (A search for “bailout” yielded thousands of items.)
Not that we’ll have much left in our pocketbooks to buy any of them…

During the great run-up in house prices, many inner city people on government assistance were able to sell their worthless shacks for close to a half-million (in some cities). Responsible taxpayers now will be paying for this ‘wealth redistribution.’ Better yet, when they have run through their ill gotten gains, they will be right back on the dole. And in some cities, those shacks now sell for a few dollars! Thanks for the ‘bailout.’
The BFF one is priceless! lol
How about starting with everyone who received monies from Fannie and Freddie retuning it. All the Senators and Representatives ,Dodd, Obama, Frank, Waters, and some republicans. Raines and Garlic who received monies based on fraudulently cooking the books to inflate “bonuses”. Nobody should have benefited from this failure that brought about the bail out by the tax payers.
I’d like to think that the government would at least send us a thank-you card this Christmas. The note might read: “the Bailout Boys wish you and yours the very best this holiday season. Spend often, spend foolishlessly!”
It won’t happen, of course. From their way of thinking the money rightfully belongs to them anyway, so what would be the point?
Silly me, I thought a “Bailout” was something you did out of an Airplane.
Question:
How much doe’s a crap sandwich cost?
Answer:
$850 Billion Dollars.
Got Milk?
Someone should photo shop Arnold’s head onto that top sweatshirt.
According to the hour-long program on the bail-out and the causes and possible results, the trillion-dollar bailout will not be the end of the deal. Apparently over FOUR trillion dollars worth of crap mortgages were sold, and the “bailout” is only 700 billion. Keep the drive-through window at the Fed open, they’ll be back for seconds. And thirds. Maybe fourths too. SOME people should go to jail for this. I’ll make a list.
I think I like the “Socialism” shirt the best after all we now live in the United Socialist States of America, but I just might have to get the “I bailed out Wall Street and all I got was this lousy t-shirt” to wear at my work. As far as most people I know living in the middle of nowhere Idaho are concerned the Republic died the second Bush signed the Wall Street bailout into law. I can hardly wait to see what the real cost of this ill advised piece of crap law will be. We’re boned!
How much do YOU make? Send it ALL it. Your government at work for you!
Send it All in!
I am happy to see that the entrepreneurs are still using their creativity to make shirts. I pray the entrpreneurial spirit won’t die! It is one of the most wonderful aspects of a capitalist society and literally gives people a reason to get up in the morning.
Just in from CNN –
I didnt realize that our Bush-led capitalistic society has such a big influence on the Euros too. Thank goodness the Dems are here to save us!
I havent read the whole bill yet, but how much did we add to bailout out the Europeans too?
Maybe Obama can predict the future. I am feeling pretty bitter now.
wait til you see my slogan monday and I’ll donate 50% of profits to our beloved troops!!

For the discerning activist, who realizes that if either McCain or Obama become our uh…gag…choke…transient ischemic attack…uh…”leader”…retch…we must prepare for the coming “Idiocracy”.
Cuz no matter which way one turns, left or right, one trips over idiots.
*All our products are extra petroleum based & hand crafted by anti-union workers, well not actually anti-union, more like cheap slave labor, but they don’t have no dang unions, or rights, anywho.
McCain basically destroyed his chances of winning in November by going along with the bailout; Aligning himself with Bush on the issue(failed policies), not distinguishing himself from Obama on the issue(oink, oink), and siding against the will of the people and an overwhelming majority of economists; Maverick rides into the sunset; The poison of socialism would only have been slower under McCain; Time to rally around the true fiscal conservatives in congress and swell their numbers in 2010; Obama will make that easier.

It WAS a manic thing. LOL Produce, produce, produce and then crash.
Yeh, I hope eveyone kept up this week. MM was definitely burying us in topics.
This week will be pretty quiet for me. I actually have to sit in an office and help another multi-national corporation plot to take over the world.
Hey Michelle, take a look @ http://strategerycapital.com/
I don’t know who created it but they’re not happy about the bailout.
I could have done without the stupid spanish babel at the bottom of the screen…lol
All last week I thought I was watching the Beltway Boys on Fox.Then I saw I lost 10,000 in 3 days and realized I was watching the Bailout Boys.Silly me.
I agree with Boomer. I like the “socialism” t-shirt best. Socialism is what they call it. Actually, it is the taking away of rights and liberties, that the so-called “socialists” want to do, as long, and this is the most important part, they are on the top rung of the ladder, when it comes, immune to the new society they have set up.
The “bailout” (aka C**P Sandwich) is only the beginning. Wait until the “Messiah” takes over and the economy and country really tank! I can feel my 401K starting to smoke already–retirement may mean going back to work–if any jobs are left. And don’t think that our savings are protected in banks either–the reserve requirement (amount on hand to pay off depositors in bank runs) is only a few percent of the total deposits.
Meanwhile–how can the American People (sheeple?) keep re-electing these clowns–and picking worse ones for high office? We have the worst government that money can buy.
Rocketman
There should be a contest to decide who is the biggest bonehead in this whole mess. Here are the nominees: 1) Richard S. Fuld, Jr., the CEO and Chairman of Lehman Brothers. Under Fuld’s brilliant leadership, Lehman was a leader in subprime mortgages and Fuld was surprised when so many borrowers did not pay back their mortgages. Fuld was also surprised that the billions of dollars in subprime mortgages that Lehman bought under his leadership turned out to be worthless dust. 2) Ken Thomas and Bob Steel, the last two CEOS of Wachovia. These geniouses seemd to think that spending billions of dollars to purchase subprime wreck Golden West Financial was just peachy keen. 3)Barney Frank, who encouraged FANNIA MAE and FREDDIE MAC to buy the subprime mortgages that were being doled out by dubious lenders like Countrywide, which was led by friend of Chris Dodd and Kent Conrad Angelo Mozilo.
Hey Michelle, I got yur bailout right here!
An interesting column in my local newspaper today says that…get this…our local school district is going to benefit from the “economic” bailout bill!
If you thought this “emergency” bailout was only about the financial or credit markets, think again. From the column:
Local Rep. Wally Herger (R) said in a prepared statement that the measure is “vital to the important task of education north state children.”
Now I’m all for educating our children, BUT why is this appropriate NOW? We have been throwing money at our schools for over 40 years, and yet the Democrats keep crying that our education system is suffering. It seems every year the teachers unions are going on strike, demanding more money for their own pockets, but the quality of education continues to spiral downward. When will enough be enough for these liberal leeches?
I’m all for modifying a classic: “Keep working: millions on welfare, bankrupted lenders, stupid borrowers, and their Congressional supporters depend on you”
I got yer bailout right here..
Oops, just saw Freddy used that same line, sorry!
Don’t worry, when this money runs out, they’ll be coming for more…
In tax increases, that is. Especially if Obama gets elected. And it’s not just his redistribution of wealth by taxing those who pay the most, it will be in addition to that tax increase.
You see, liberals think you can tax your way out of anything. I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop here in CA since they don’t know how to stop spending. The latest being the governor signing off on a bill that CA now pay for HIV testing — can we really afford this? Especially when he cries to the feds asking for a $7 bill loan? Hello?
I’m only 40 miles away from the NV border! I’ll be studying realtor.com for the rest of the day today.
While tragic, I wonder, who’s responsibility is it to care for the orphans and widows? It’s not the government. It’s the people, whether through churches or other non-profit organizations, but not the government. It’s a slippery slope to say that the government needs to ensure its citizens have a baseline of resources. When the government takes the position that all citizens need a house: what size of house? Who pays for it? Under this system, in fairness, every citizen should, therefore, receive a stipend for housing. If everyone gets a house, why not food or a car to get to work? Again, who pays for it? Taking resources from one who earns it to give it to someone who hasn’t is not just. This is the work of charities, not the government. There is a finite amount of resources, so we have economics to deal with this problem. A free market with a charitable citizenry is the fairest way to deal with the need of those who can’t do for themselves, such as the elderly woman in this story.
No one in Congress or the MSM will believe us until we VOTE these people out. There needs to be a huge exodus of “bailout-yes-voters” on November 4!
TypicalWhite said:
“No one in Congress or the MSM will believe us until we VOTE these people out. There needs to be a huge exodus of “bailout-yes-voters” on November 4!”
AMEN!
I got bailed out and didn’t even get a courtesy reach around.
The idiots that caused this mess (Dodd, frank, etc) Need to be in jail, the idiots who supported the Bailout need to be voted out next time they are up.
It could be even worse – check out this story from the U.K.:
Unfortunately, with a Dem. Congress, there will be no public hearings.
If this was a true financial emergency, there should have been looks of relief on the faces of the Democrats; instead, all I saw were very happy faces.
Memo to Congressional Republicans–Senators and Representatives–
1. If you aren’t given time to read the bill, vote no.
2. If you feel you are being manipulated, you probably are; vote no.
3. If pork has been added to persuade you to vote, vote no.
On October 5th, 2008 at 3:29 pm, Durangodarlin
And add…
4. If it sounds too good to be true, it most definitely is! Vote NO.
The Republicans who voted Yes to this failout were conned and walked right into a trap…
October 1st was Energy Freedom Day. The Republicans should have been focused on that, not this manufactured crisis. They abandoned a winning issue (energy independence) and clung to a losing issue (the failout package).
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
It gets worse:
I can’t stand Schumer.
And I can’t stand that President Bush fell for this con job, and pressured Republicans to go along with it.
Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory…
Something really stinks at Citi…
Wachovia finds itself a much better deal than the government arranged, and now Citi is trying to block the sale to Wells Fargo.
In my opinion, it appearst that:
The Democratic Socialists have infiltrated and taken control of both Citi and Goldman Sachs. Now they are trying to use another Democratic Socialist infiltrator, Treasury Secretary Paulson, to buyout competitors.
Once the Democratic Socialists have put all their competitors out of business (a process made easier by this bailout, because Paulson can reward the companies of his choice), then the next step is….
…Sharia banking laws.
Obama said yesterday that this is not the end but only the beginning. First thing he’s said I believe. He was happy and smiling. Gold.
It will get worse…
As Bush the First lost loads of Republicans with his reneging on No New Taxes we just may see more Republicans sitting on their hands over this. Many are NOW sitting out over Amnesty, McCain-Feingold and Cap and Trade. Just what America is this man suppose to love? Beltway John is basically to the left of Hubert Humphrey.

Michelle & all, here is video proof for everyone of how in denial congressional democrats were about the coming meltdown of Fannie Mae. They even basically accused the republicans of racism for trying to sound the warning bell!

So, socialized mortgages are going to cost working taxpayers over a trillion dollars. How much do you think socialized health care is going to cost?
The US economy is living off the wealth of a previous era by liquidating entire industries, and allowing infrastructure to fall into disrepair. We are also borrowing from the future with huge budget deficits, in order to finance today. It is clear to me that this can not go on indefinitely. This is the exact opposite direction we need to go in as a country. We need to live within our means as a nation and as individuals. We need to encourage, manufacturing, exploiting our natural resources, and producing food and energy, not more casinos and nail salons. Saving should be encouraged, not borrowing to buy extravagant things beyond our means. Personal debts as well as the national debt must be payed off.
There are tens of millions of people who manage their finances properly. They carry the economic burden of this nation on their back. The top ten percent of all wage earners pay over 70% of federal income taxes. Soon their backs will no longer be able to carry the load. If our government and citizens do not manage their finances, we will undoubtedly devolve into a corrupt and impoverished third world nation with a huge peasant class. Step back and look at the big picture, I see no other outcome.
The bible says: in times of plenty, we must prepare for famine. Simple? Yes. Can this simple root cause, lead to economic devastation? Certainly
The Spiritual Root Cause of America’s Economic Woes.
Nothing. BroBama, He Who Has Come, will heal the sick, lift the lame, give sight to the blind, loosen the tied tongue and raise the dead, hallelujah! After BroBama, the Anointed One, heals all wounds, soothes all brows and quiets all hearts we won’t need medicine. We will all live in perfect harmony on the Good Ship Lollipop. One of the Beatles said so. I think Bruse Springsteen is saying so today.
God Dxxn America–Hallelujah!
I hope that answers you question Socky.

With these people in charge, it’s much easier for them to dumb-down the masses and maintain the dependence, but how people can see they’re being manipulated is beyond me. Ignorance is bliss.
Durangodarlin, I just don’t see how this logic… oops, did I give them credit for being logical? Well said…
I think that I am doing what many other business people are.
Not spending a cent.
Hiring freeze already went into effect…I instituted it…
And changed to Swiss francs….
Australian and Japanese markets are open, and all are down 2 or 3% so far – not a good sign. Wait till the HK and UK markets open, then we’ll see how well this bailout is being received.. doesn’t look good right now though.
Bush Bailout ‘08 – would look great on a t-shirt!
or
Blame Minorities and Mexicans For Bailout ‘08!
or
Iraq War = $10 billion a month, Bailout = $700 billion and rising… Bush’s legacy = Priceless.
So many good choices out there for the far righters… no doubt a factory in China is already pumping them out….
“sausage”….bush?
surely you jest!
how about a purple t-shirt with the likeness of barney on it.
and i’m not talking about the dinosaur…
But the $700 billion bail out was good for wooden arrows and whatever pork these porkers could foist on us. Did Barney Frank get his tax credit for bath houses?

If Congress can investigate baseball players and the Plame non-issue, why can’t they investigate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Oh, that’s right, that’d be like asking the fox to investigate the chickens missing from the henhouse.
Shameless plug: I made a bumper sticker demanding an investigation of Fannie/Freddie.
It is imperative that you watch this entire video: Yur Bezmenov, 1985.
Consider which of the four stages you think we are in, and what the result of an Obama Presidency would be.
Consider that at the time that video was recorded, Ronald Reagan was President of the United States. Consider the path that history would have taken if Carter had remained in office. Reagan bought us another 20+ years, but Bush, with the bill he just signed on Friday, just brought us significantly further down the path of destabilization towards real crisis.
Consider how the morals of our civilization have declined over the last 23 years since that video was recorded.
It appears that the de-moral-ization phase has been going on in this country since FDR’s Justices took control of the Supreme Court in 1937…over 70 years. The USA has forgotten it was founded as a Christian Nation. Bush, has bought the “crisis” lie, and in response he signed a bill that helps the communists destabilize our nation further.
This is spiritual warfare, and our nation must be spiritually strong in order to fight this battle.

Read the history of the Roman Empire. You’ll see a lot of parallels there. Most civilizations collapse from within, and the U.S. will be no exception because people do not understand or care about history’s lessons. Great Britain was a great superpower, along with others like the Dutch. Now, no-one pays attention to them. Maybe, one day, the U.S. will split into 2 countries like the Roman empire; Spanish speaking west of the Mississippi and English speaking on the Eastern part. An interesting thought.
Ask your Congressman or Senator – or local official for that matter – how much is the limit?
Neal Boortz asks that question of people constantly and he can’t get a nailed-down answer. Except for backers of the Fair Tax.
Beware, because 700Million is not the upper limit.
