Palin-bashing Associated Press cries “RAAAACISM!”
Putting the “Ass” in “Associated Press,” one of the wire service’s Obama water-carriers attempts to smear Sarah Palin as a racist for spotlighting Barack Obama’s longtime relationships with Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers:
Analysis: Palin’s words carry racial tinge
Palin’s words avoid repulsing voters with overt racism. But is there another subtext for creating the false image of a black presidential nominee “palling around” with terrorists while assuring a predominantly white audience that he doesn’t see their America?
In a post-Sept. 11 America, terrorists are envisioned as dark-skinned radical Muslims, not the homegrown anarchists of Ayers’ day 40 years ago. With Obama a relative unknown when he began his campaign, the Internet hummed with false e-mails about ties to radical Islam of a foreign-born candidate.
Whether intended or not by the McCain campaign, portraying Obama as “not like us” is another potential appeal to racism. It suggests that the Hawaiian-born Christian is, at heart, un-American.
Most troubling, however, is how allowing racism to creep into the discussion serves McCain’s purpose so well. As the fallout from Wright’s sermons showed earlier this year, forcing Obama to abandon issues to talk about race leads to unresolved arguments about America’s promise to treat all people equally.
John McCain occasionally looks back on decisions with regret. He has apologized for opposing a holiday to honor Martin Luther King Jr. He has apologized for refusing to call for the removal of a Confederate flag from South Carolina’s Capitol.
When the 2008 campaign is over McCain might regret appeals such as Palin’s perhaps more so if he wins.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, McCain continues to forbid his campaign from going after Obama for his longtime friendship and ideological partnership with Rev. Jeremiah Wright — and refuses to attack Obama on the Fannie/Freddie/CRA debacles because he fears being perceived as a racist.
Earth to McCain: They will see RAAAACISM in whatever you and Palin will say and do from now until Election Day.

I don’t want to bail on McCain yet. He has one sidewinder missile left.
Perhaps it is not the most outrageous thing anyone could ever say but it tells me all I need to know. Jeremiah Wright and the Obamas are Black racist, Black Nationalist and a threat. We have the same thing in my own family-Mexican-Chicano-Latino-take your choice. There are those of us who consider ourselves Americans, worked our buns off and grabbed the ring. There are others who wear their mothers nylons on their heads, act the fools and hang out with their Bros n B— and whine that the Man is keeping them down.
For one I have no use for a layabout, whiner, Community Activist or any other of the leeches grabbing the headlines and turning our neighborhoods into third world ghettos.
BroBama had a hell of a better start then I did. Yes I could bitch about the way Mexicans were treated then, how some FEW jerks treat me in school and some such nonsense.
But my mother passed away years ago so I do not have any nylons to wear on my head and I thoroughly enjoy all my American Selfishness toys I can now afford. Gee, I really do enjoy attacking Liberals; it is almost as much fun as my Bass Boat. But I HATE patronizing While Guilt Liberals.

“Code Words” and “Code Phrases” combined with “Hate Speech” laws are the Left’s end-run around the First Ammendment.
If the Left ever aquires the power and judges that they want, they will interpret anything they disagree with as “Code Words” as “Hate Speech” and shut down anyone who disagrees with them.

That is right. He is against some of the most basic teachings in the Bible. Respect for the rights of children to have life, for one thing.
Actually, he stuck with the lovely Rev. Wright even after the scrutiny. That was the impetus of his super fantastic speech on race that was going to heal us all by sticking by the TUCC and throwing grandma under the bus with all of us other typical white people. He didn’t leave the pews until Wright said that BO is a politician, and will say anything to get elected. Then, and only then, did he leave the “church”. Had he not insulted the great BO and wounded his wittle ego, he never would have left.
The biggest fear I have is the way anointed one and his worshippers will shut down free speech should he win this thing by continuing to condemn all that oppose him or his policies as racist. He has already shown how to stifle free speech by attacking radio and television stations that have the audacity to show any of the truths most of us know about him and his nefarious associations. Once they shut down any outlet a conservative can use to share a conflicting view (say goodbye to talk radio) by using the anything but fairness doctrine it will only be a matter of time before the alternative media of the internet is shut down. Then it will be a matter of time before those that have the courage to publicly disagree with the dear leader begin to disappear.

The Ayers stuff has been addressed in political ads, at least one debate and interviews. The Wright stuff saturated the MSM last spring. The question is, are indepedents and democrats scared away? Unless there is a HUGE “Bradley effect” going on, the answer appears to be, NO. Some of you conservatives wouldn’t vote for Obama if he went to YOUR church for 20 yrs. It’s irrelevant whether or not the Right is offended by the associations, because they aren’t Obama supporters any way.

That is a LIE. I have continuously said “many here”, who happen to be racists that I have named, general racists, and other evil people. You won’t find a quote where I have said I’d let conservatives or republicans die. The likes of Hannity and Rush, have taught you well, because you have no problem with blatant lying to make a point.
I have to disagree. It is a church founded on the black supremacy credo, wherein whites are blamed for everything that they perceive as being wrong in their world. It is no better than, and just as racist as, a white supremacist based congregation blaming everything on blacks or Jews.
The final nail in the coffin: the church’s association and appreciation of the radical Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam, as well as the vitriolic Pfleger.
Obama did not dissociate himself with that church until the rantings of Wright became too much of a political liability. A mere week before, he said he could never do such a thing. And he spent TWENTY YEARS in that church, soaking up the hate filled sermons of Wright without a single objection. There are plenty other black churches on the south side.
You don’t have to be as overt as Wright to believe some or all of what he believes. Membership in a group like this is tacit admission that you agree with what they preach.

I went to Drudge and read the article. Then I went to the responses. Almost 1000 and most of them are disgusted with the article, the author and AP and MSM in general.
McCain must be trying to lose this election if he takes BHO’s associations off the table! His associations help define him. Who he is and what he is about and believes.

I spent a brief vacation last week in the U.P. of Michigan. It’s the hometown area of an old friend. I was the only black person is sight in Norway, Iron Mountain, and Hermansville Michigan. Still, I was treated like family and everyone was colorblind. I had nothing in common with these folks, but still had a great experience with great people.
Most people aren’t racist, the link I posted earlier shows that a few still are. It’s ignorant to suggest that racism doen’t exist. It just isn’t a dominant quality of American culture like in the past. Most people have decent hearts, and reject racism. There will always be a few exceptions.

The AP omits the full quote, where Palin’s sentence says domestic terrorists blowing up ourselves. That is not what the AP infers, a reference to arabic terrorists. We know what Palin said, and the AP’s liars are telling others something different.

John McCain was involved in one of the biggest financial scandals in US history. That’s not drinking kool aid. That’s a fact.
McCain calls his involvement “the worst mistake in my life”.
Even if you think he played no role, which is highly debatable, he admits being associated with Charles Keating. And McCain was the only Senator involved who had a financial interest in Keating’s real estate company.

Associations do matter. If the Wright and Ayers stuff sinks Obama, he brought it on himself. However, only rightwingers seem to give much of a damn. The Keating 5 stuff is tangible and related to the types of problems we see today.

Funny how you ignore the fact the Wright also has white friends, whom have spoken out in support of him. If you can find me some members of David Duke’s groups who are black, or some of his black friends, Rooster’s point could make a little more sense.
I find Wright to be offensive. I think he has anti-American views. I would never go to his church if I was religious. However, comparing him to David Duke is quite dumb, and doesn’t hold up.

Obama has collaborated with Ayers to distribute monies to radical groups whose goal was to introduce radicalization of teachers and students in Chicago. Net result: Millions misspent and NO CHANGE.
Obama has diverted millions of Fannie Mae and Fred Mac monies via his buddies there to ACORN another radical “association.”
Obama and Ayers worked TOGETHER for TEN YEARS. Obama started his campaign in Ayer’s home. Do you let just anyone come into your home and then host their political ascension?
Obama more than knows and associated with corrupt “community organizations” and this murderous terrorist. They are all believers of the same philosophies and they consider each other friends (but lie about it in public).
This absolutely CANNOT be denied.
Therefore, Obama is absolutely disqualified from being able to honestly uphold the very same Constitution Black Liberation Theology despises, and which Ayer’s group sought/seeks to undermine.
