What’s on your minds?
For your amusement, here’s the Youth Marchers for Obama video everyone’s buzzing about:
And here’s the vid of pitbull Sarah taking on Obama’s William Ayers’ connection:
Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Saturday accused Democrat Barack Obama of “palling around with terrorists” because of his association with a former 1960s radical, stepping up the campaign’s effort to portray Obama as unacceptable to American voters.
Palin’s reference was to Bill Ayers, one of the founders of the group the Weather Underground. Its members took credit for bombings, including nonfatal explosions at the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol, during the tumultuous Vietnam War era four decades ago. Obama, who was a child when the group was active, served on a charity board with Ayers several years ago and has denounced his radical views and activities.
The Republican campaign, falling behind Obama in polls, plans to make attacks on Obama’s character a centerpiece of presidential candidate John McCain’s message with a month remaining before Election Day.
Palin told a group of donors at a private airport, “Our opponent … is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he’s palling around with terrorists who would target their own country.” She also said, “This is not a man who sees America as you see America and as I see America.”
Excellent. She also needs to start pointing out the Chicago gangland tactics Obama is using to try and shut up critics and investigators who have spotlighted the Obama/Ayers’ connection.
Go, Sarah, go!

How can the MSM can continue to push that Bill Ayers is just someone living in Obama’s neighborhood. Even FOX isn’t pointing out how they worked together.
The first sentence was supposed to end in a question mark. Kinda funny that as soon as I mashed the “Submit” button, Stanley Kurtz is being interviewed on Obama’s connections.
on my mind? i saw a deer get smashed by a jeep late last night and have its guts explode from forth its belly right before my eyes, then get hit by another car.
totally disgusting and i felt real bad for that deer. i was gonna run its head over to put it out of its misery but by the time i doubled back it was dead. THANK GOD.
horrible images! lol
other than that, im worried mccain isnt going to hit the dems where it hurts on this credit crisis thing, and that will cause him to lose in november.
:*(
Sarah Barracuda strikes again (and I’m not talking about Ayers). Did you catch her MUCH deserved dig at Madeline Albright?
First, watch this dig Albright took at Palin at the supposedly nonpartisan Secretary of State panel on CNN. Stay til the end to watch Colin Powell shaking his head.
Then watch this shot of Palin in California quoting Albright from a Starbucks Cup……!
Albright is a “has been” who wants to be relevant and has been digging at Palin for a few weeks now. Palin did great on her response.
Fox News reporting that McCain is finally going on the offensive. I am afraid it is too little, too late. McCain always wants to play “fair” and not shoot back at the Dems. He and Palin need to take the gloves off and come out swinging with everything. They need to expose Obama for what he really is.
Oh LAWDYYY Chris Wallace is deifying FACTCHECK founder…….
BARF BARF BARF
I just got this in my e-mail from Saulius ‘Saul’ Anuzis . . .
The fight continues. Have you signed up as a GOP volunteer yet?
P
CNN this morning (Iraq time) mad metnion of Palin putting forth the Obama/Ayers connection and provided cover by playing the vidoe clip of Obama claiming he was just some guy in the neighborhood and that there was not connection. Then they followed up by saying Obama kicked of his political career in the guys house and they worked together on the CAC, but that does not mean they are friends….
Geez…I think I’ll change the subject…
Walter Williams has, for some time, asked if the United States should be bifurcated…
those of us who believe in the Constitution as it was written (which we departed from with increasing velocity beginning in the mid-thirties) going in one direction,
and the socialists, Marxists, and general America-haters grouping together to form their idea of Nirvana.
I am more and more convinced that the time for that parting is very near.
Does anyone think going after Obama’s ties will hurt the McCain camp, seeing as, most likely, people are more concerned with the economy?
mccain is doing everything he can to give the election to obama. he refuses to talk about CRA, afraid of being called ‘racist’. its a joke. wish we had a real conservative running for president. oh well maybe we can get rid of the rinos in the republican party, and actually have a conservative party, instead of ‘just like the dems, only less’ that we have now.
go MIZZOU!!
Danno,
In mich? nope I live in PA doing what I can here, fight the fight. Tossing squid at obambi voters would be fun
Seems to me like the McCain camp is getting desperate. It is 31 days until the election and they are still down in the polls and going lower. No one cares about Ayers, or Rev. Wright or any of those other “associations”. They make great fodder for Hannity and Limbaugh and right wing bloggers, but no one else cares. There is one thing on people’s minds and it doesn’t look like McCain is doing anything to convince them that he can make a difference: THE ECONOMY.
right and you know this how? is this your latest slam on the man?
one of these days you might stop pouting and face reality McCain is our pony you can’t be a burr in his saddle if you aren’t in the rodeo. get it?
Im nobody else cares?
that is news, nobody YOU know perhaps.
I agree with Imjustsaying. They need to get tactical about the economy, start naming names, and start explaining to people how badly the Democrats scuh-rooooed us.
ahuh of course you do a troika of trolls
very amusing.
You may be right. I am afraid that now the braying asses outnumber the wise, and they keep having welfare and anchor babies for me to support.
This may be the end of the era of personal responsibility.
This is a battle and John knows a little about tactics. I’m hoping he is about to overun the enemy camps. Libs have been lulled into believing the savior has arrived and already taken the day. I see a blitz on the horizon.
Troika of trolls?
Why? Cause we believe McCain needs to get tough and hit the Democrats where it hurts?
Wake up! You might not think its necessary but most Americans do. Give it a rest will you?
McCain has a great opening and refuses to take it. That is BAD.
–Youth Marchers for the taxing black-hole.
Probably at this point it would make far more sense for McCain to hit Obama on his ties to Fannie/Freddie and his culpability in the whole sub-prime mess. It’s all about the money and the Republicans are, as usual, failing to capitalize, if you will, on it. Are they suffering from Hoover flashbacks? What is it with these people?
As for Ayers, it seems that few care about the Obama’s association with the creep and what it portends for his administration. Voters just don’t want to get into anything that reminds them of the whole war on terror thing.
What is it with McCain anyway? He’s acting like a short-timer running out the clock. Remember “Fight, Fight, Fight!” It seems to be more like “Nap, nap, nap.” There is no focus to his campaign, positive or negative. Some talking points here and there, but no core message. Whatever mistakes Palin has made, she is all that is keeping this campaign alive. What an amazing person she is.
I think people probably CARE about Obama’s associations, but he’s at least offering something on the economy.
I agree with Larry Kudlow from his radio show yesterday.
McCain isn’t offering anything.
He talks about pork. fine, we all hate pork, but come on you gotta get with the times and start talking about the credit crisis, who caused it, and what you’re going to do!
perhaps if he hit obama both on his associates and the credit crisis, that would be a the ticket.
Yikes, how distubing is that?? The only thing missing was goose-stepping. We are doomed it Obozo gets in office… I promise you I’ll be shot before I allow my children to be assimilated.
I love our Sarah-cuda… quoting Madeline Albright off of a Starbucks cup… “There is a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.” LMAO!!!
@9 Ragspierre,
Starting to think along your same lines. Just wondering when it will get bad enough for us all to accept the phenomenal upheaval necessary to start such a disunion. Crushingly sad, but clearly a near majority of Americans do not agree with this new level of Socialism, and our current gov’t system is unwilling to listen or to lead or to adjust accordingly. I am so thankful for those few who have remained true to Constitutional limits in House and Senate, but they are so, so few
It’s one of those beautiful late summer days here in the midwest. Azure blue skies and about 55 degrees. Gonna grab a picnic and stroll through the forest with my wife and 8 year old daughter today. A reminder of the more important things that we fight and fret over. Monday will be another day to do battle.
It has been clear that the MSM want Barack. For the past several months they have been offering up an onslaught of coverage designed to lift him up.
While at he same time tearing down, whoever the Republican candidate was, it just happens to be McCain.
It has not worked on me and my family.
I am sure it has not worked on many of you.
In fact I bet McCain has done as much, effectively, to alieniate you guys as the media has.
But I do not care what the Obama Media want. All of this hyper-obamaism is not working on me. I cannot speak to how it has affected you guys. But anyone can see this is the full court press from them. But I see cracks.
After all of this I still see some democrats who are not sure they want a full fledged socialist.
Republicans are not going to vote for Obumble. McCain may run The worst campaign in history, but I will still have voted by November 4th. Early voting here.
So let’s find those folks who are unsure and close the deal on this election.
Warts and all. In a month it will be over.

Head of NOW LA chapter Endorses Palin !
“oh-oh-expect-fireworks-big-time!” – Greta Van Susteren!
Tammy Bruce was once president of NOW, right?
I am waxing my snowboard today. It is almost time for winter.
Its nice late summer out here too in Long Island.
I wish my summer breaks consisted of august, september and october instead of may-august.
Offering on economy, ha! thats a joke its always said (prove it), but the truth is Odopey knows squat, when he did have a 100 million dollar budget (witgh ayers) to fix schools it went to ACORN and was whizzed away… Obama is a joke, a bad one……
wake up….
out.
My father helped win a big court case against T-mobil yesterday. Evidence that the ‘Joe six-packs’ do make a big difference.
its true aj. hes offering SOMETHING while McCain has offered NOTHING in regards to the credit crisis. all he has been doing is trying to steal the anti wall street argument from the dems, and that isnt going to work.
This weekend I started seeing “Palin” stickers pop up on several vehicles around here.
They are about 6-9 inches high, white and italicized and people are putting them in the center of their back window. No reference to McCain at all.
It’s a sad day in America. In truth, the Obama voters couldn’t care less about his associations with the Rev. Wright church, because they, too, think America has a lot of blame at its feet. Even the white liberals blame whitey for the troubles of minorities.
No one cares about Ayers, either, because the Obama puppets agree with him. According to them, we do need to be knocked down a peg.
The Obama voters want negotiations with terrorists, because they are ignorant of history, and they are so naive they think we can talk terrorists into seeing our point of view.
These people are dangerous, and they outnumber the thinking righteous people 3-1.
A dark time is headed to our shores either way. At least if Obama wins, he will be exposed as an idiot. I just hope the original idea of America survives his four year debacle.
GREAT line!
Sadly, Obambi promises these things knowing they can’t be delivered. Whether by a lack of money or a lack of votes, he knows he can’t implement more spending programs like national health care.
He knows his election depends on the votes of the stupid, and the dems will do everything they can to get the drunk, dumb, and homeless out on election day.
He has two great openings:
a) Energy. Besides the obvious talking points, why not talk about how much money Federal Government has “lost” by not taxing oil exploration, extraction, and refining over the last 25 years?
b) Congress. Obama is tying McCain to Bush. Why not tie Obama to Congress? They have a worse approval rating that Bush does. How about something like “Are you better off than you were TWO years ago?” when Democrats took Congress? Tying Congress to Fannie et al. requires only that they show excerpts of speeches by Democrats. It’s so simple.
I think McCain won’t take the openings because HE is hip-deep in the energy and credit bleep-ups as well.
I wish someone would ask Obama a simple question:
Will William Ayers and his ilk be sleeping in the Lincoln bedroom in an Obama White house? Prove to me that won’t happen.
Man I’m watching Meet The Press, and the token Republican is Peggy Noonan, including also Gwen Ifil, its just plain unbelievable.
Here’s what’s on my mind. I’m boning up on my socialist terms, because I don’t want to look foolish when out and about with my comrades for the next 4 years. Comrades.
Right now, the country is loving socialism, and they’re buying what Obama is selling. Brace yourselves, because we’re going to get a healthy dose of it for the next 4 years. Stick a fork in McCain, he’s done.
I’m at stage 5 in my Kubler-Ross model. Here’s hoping the horrors of the next 4 years will give birth to a true conservative out there somewhere who will lead this country back from the yawning abyss of communism.
That’s my hopey/change thought of the day.
I needed a new power hedge trimmer, so I went to my local hardware retailer. The clerk showed me an item called the “Doodad Pro.” He said it only worked if there was Mad Dog 20/20 in the gas tank, and even then, it hardly did anything at all. I was curious as to why they would stock such an item, so I opened the box, and a bunch of ballots marked “Obama” fell out. I guess it was part of a shipment that got re-routed from Ohio last week.
I totally agree with those who believe McCain is losing this election by not POUNDING the Dems on CRA/Fannie and Freddie, as well as non-recourse lending practices that fueled real estate speculation. It’s not complicated, it’s not racist. It’s obvious and it frames the entire difference between liberals and conservatives.
Those programs/laws were done for noble reasons…..to help people. But they weren’t done within a free market framework. The free market was tossed aside for government intrusion. Forcing banks to eat the balances in foreclosed properties with little damage to the borrower. Forcing banks to make bad loans. The end result is the need for a bailout.
It can’t get ANY clearer than that. McCain needs to hammer away. If he won’t, send Palin.
I’m totally disgusted by his inaction. I was afraid of this last spring when he won the nomination.
Because of BroBama I am going to be the next GangBanger in Cammies
.
I weep for my country with these two weak men running for President. Neither of them has the best interest of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights. Declaration of Independence or our Heritage at heart.
Bill Ayers? I wouldn’t mind meeting his ilk in a pitched battle.

Imagine if the dems have a filibuster proof majority.
I hope those socialists subsidize liquor.
I’m glad those young men are now inspired to work hard to achieve their dreams. We can surely agree that all young men and women have every right to pursue prosperity as a product of hard work and commitment, combined with their sense of personal responsibility.
Now let’s get McCain/Palin elected so they can actually REALIZE those dreams!
Go, Sarah, Go!

Ethanol & tonic w/a twist pls…
McCain/Palin signs now appearing on lawns of former Kerry supporters. What a surprize that was for me.
Was in Philly yesterday. Youngpups everywhere trying to convince people to register to vote. One kid saying, “It’s no big deal to register. I’m registered in 3 states.” Does he even understand the concept of voter fraud?
Before I forget, did anyone else see, “An American Carol”? I saw it on Friday. It’s pretty good. Kevin Farley is a dead ringer for Michael Moore in the film. At first I thought it was too graphic, but then was reminded that the things that repulsed me were things that actually go on, for instance, in the *paradise of Cuba*, that Moore touts.
Some parts are super silly, but hey: that’s just Zucker, keeping with his earlier “Airplane” and “Naked Gun” genre.
John Voight, a staunch conservative, is terrific in his role, which I’ll not spoil for you here.
I recommend the movie (but see a matinee….$10 for a regular price?? Argh!)

I don’t care what obambi has to say.
I don’t care what the media says
and I sure as hell don’t care what never going to be pleased socalled conservatives have to say.
BUCK UP or shutup stop claiming you give a dman about America ya don’t!!!
FACT: America as has been shoved down our throats ended last week.
If you don’t comprehend that is a good thing you aint American and you sure aint conservative PERIOD
I think it could be done without a lot of upheaval. It would take a very determined effort, for sure, but it could be done peacefully.
Being from Texas, we kind of have a view that we always retain the right to opt out…we were a republic of our own once.
It may be time to separate the sheep from goats…
I am also inspired, having spent 3 days last week in McCain/Palin country (I live in Che Guevara/Fidel Castro country, remember).
I picked up a McCain/Palin yard sign, stuck it in the ground here at home and, within 2 minutes, had my neighbor complaining, “I don’t think I should have to look at that sign every day”.
You know…the neighbor with the, “Coexist” and “Tolerate Diversity” bumper stickers, of course.
Vicki,
I have not, am a big supporter of pro American/conservative/Christian flics that said michael moron is a nobody to me. Will see it in time, desire to but feel no onus to rush out and support first weekend #s under guise of if I don’t it will be end of crap.

Vicki,
wow what did you say?
won’t tell you what I would as this post wouldn’t be allowed
I do think people care about Obama’s associaitions, just not as much as they care baout the economy. But I do not think McCain trying to play the blame game alone will work.
Here is what I think McCain needs to do. He does need to point out these association, especially the Fannie/Freddie connection to the Obama campaign, but he also needs to be presenting the American People with an economic plan. If he was to say something like “Sen Obama claims he has an economic plan to help America, but who advised him on this plan? Sen Obama has consistently shown the American people that he surrounds himslef with people that always seem to be on the wrong side of the issues, such as Willaim Ayers, Jerimiah Wright and now Franklin Raines the former Chairman and CEO of Fannie Mae, Tim Howard the former Chief Financial Officer of Fannie Mae and Jim Johnson a former executive of Lehman Brothers. These three men helped bring down Wall Street and Main Street; yet this is who Sen Obama turned to for economic policy advice? Here is what I have to offer the American people……”
The only good I can see coming out of the bailout last week is that all of the money has been spent and then some. There will be precious little for any president to spend and little enthusiasm in congress to pass any sweeping changes for some time. Perhaps the investigations into the meltdown will hit full steam in time for the public to see who was really responsible for this crisis before the 2010 elections? Then again, there more likely will be a news blackout on whatever the investigators uncover.
Now, much as I would like to join others on their pleasant walks and picnics today, I have to go close the pool.
Someone mentioned Palin-only bumper stickers. They’re at the campaign store if anyone is interested
I just bought 100 McCain-Palin bumper stickers, I’m going to plaster ‘em everywhere.
my thoughts for today? we’re screwed.
this is what happens when you allow the left to infiltrate education and dumb down students for generations. when the history of the USA is written 300 years from now…after the overthrow of the last communist leader, it will show that the USA started its slow bleed in the 60s.
Regarding Bill Ayers…I have been watching the spin by the democrats. Their usual tactic. Obama was just 8 years old when Ayers did those awful things. As if that makes it o.k. Just forget what he did. It was a long time ago. Then they are bringing up some long ago associate that McCain had with a right-wing anti-semetic fanatic. He sat on a Board with him or something. You know, the old “moral equivalancy” argument. Then they repeat that Obama really doesn’t know Ayers that well! I pray that the word gets out just how WELL Obama really does know Ayers. There is a deep connection between these two, but the argument has still not been made. Connect the dots for the American people! All the dots! There is still a lot of this story still not being told.
“Under Obama’s health care plan….”
I suggest that, regardless of whatever plan, don’t order fries with that!
Also, my condolences go out to all of you Cubbies fans! Snorty-snort-snort!
Trusoldier,
If you start to explain the facts, the people who are voting for Obama or just aren’t sure if they are voting for Obama will just get confused and glaze over. They don’t grasp the facts. It should be obvious, but dems and dem leaners don’t need to be bothered with facts when emotion rules the day.
They don’t care, and even if they did, their lack of common sense would prevent them from arriving at the logical conclusion.
Too true TXGator, but it might help bring over some of the Reagan Democrats and Independents.
The “Young Marchers” looked suspiciously like a JROTC class. Is partisan campaigning allowed through government funding?
Hey, bloghooligan,
being a conservative teacher is like being a homosexual in the 1930s. You just keep your head down (no pun intended, of course) and your thoughts to yourself until you find the two other teachers out of 100 that know we’re destroying education with these asinine policies.
Trying to get kids to think for themselves is nearly impossible these days. But, nearly all my students do love Obama dearly and think he can heal the world.
This morning I woke up to find my red elephant, “Vote Republican” sign stolen. People think of Oklahoma as a haven for the more conservative — think again. Rural areas, of course, but Norman, OK has continued to disgust me throughout this election season.
I have had my signs stomped on, taken apart, someone defecated on my front lawn, and finally they have stolen one of them. And yes, you heard me right — they pooped in my yard. The sign that seems to be stirring up the most trouble is the NObama one. Sigh.
I told her that she doesn’t have to look at it at all. Her husband cheered, “Way to go, Vicki!”.
When did not having the money prevent more federal spending? Ain’t gonna happen, after the trillion dollar bailout there will be a trillion dollar plus bailout of SS at some point, then bailouts for the states, and bailouts for all those whose welfare checks aren’t allowing them to have all the things they believe they deserve.
I’m afraid it’s time to turn out the lights, it’s over for America.
I was going to sight in my new 30.06 and AR-15 this weekend, but we had a very unusual down pour all day yesterday (so much for Gorebull Warming) and the desert will have to dry out before I can get out to my favorite shooting range. Well there is always next weekend.
After watching the Obama Youth Regiment in action, which was great for a good belly laugh, I think these future commissars of the Obama Nation should he win this thing will not last 30 seconds on the battlefield against those of us that will rise up to retake this nation and reestablish the US Constitution. Funny but also chilling should these physically and mentally challenged youths be organized to mindlessly follow the direction and commands of the “anointed one.”
Now to psych myself up for going back to work on Monday now that the Fiscal Year 2009 conversion is complete and start processing the documents required to get my unit operational for the 1st Quarter of the new FY and prepare and submit my FY08 reports. At least I should be able to burn up the 2 ½ weeks of leave I have to take before the end of the calendar year.
Well have a relaxing and safe Sunday my fellow indentured servants of the United Socialist States of America I think I will waist the rest of the day working some honey does around the house. Check back later!
BTW, I’m sure that ACORN has instructed these young men (<18) how they can vote in this year’s election and not have a worry of getting caught.
I hope you are right, Trusoldier. I hope you are right.
I’m not as optimistic as I used to be, but I grew up under the tutelage Reagan.
The service is always appreciated, and, good people, make sure you show you care….

Well, well, looks like the AP thinks Palin is a racist by saying Obama is “palling” around with terrorists. Looks like the Obama campaign is playing the race card once more…
Excuse me? What’s racially tinged? Obama’s relationship was exaggerated and outright false? Well, only if you read the dismissive NYT’s article, and nothing else.
Here’s the entire article.
Here’s my newest video that should give everybody a really good laugh:)

A rainy Fall day here in Minnesota. The leaves are all peaking right now. There is a 26 mile marathon run going on this a.m. and they are getting rained on. Last year it was so hot the runners had a terrible time. This year, the rain is a bit chilly, but the runners prefer it to the heat. I hope the rain will stop in time for my husband and I to take a spin around Lake Minnetonka this week. The trees there are spectacular! On the downside, the liberal Star Tribune poll shows Franken ahead of Coleman by a sizable margin. Of course, their polls are always wrong! I stopped taking that paper years ago, even when they begged me to take it for free! I told them they would have to pay me to take their stupid paper and they have left me alone since. I just found out the Vikings aren’t playing today and I am really bummed! They already had a Monday night football game, but apparently have another one. Everyone have a wonderful Sunday in this greatest country in the world!!!
Bill Ayers is White. Maybe the AP will hope nobody notices.
Andy,
I disagree in your conclusion that all the $ has been spent. First off the 700 billion won’t be spent on what it was said to be for, please recall that 350 bill is under congressional approval, it would be naive at best to assume they will simply decline if not needed it shall be redirected.
Further, oil prices have come down that is a window to raise taxes, please recall the mantra used by some states post Dubya’s tax cuts went something like this “people paid it b4 they can
keep paying”.
Again my hayseed point is we have entered the death throes of such mindset it is far from over.
BUCK UP and FIGHT
I would highly advise everyone to boycott Tully’s coffee, they have decided to undo all of the good they been doing for our troops by giving $15,000 worth of goods to the IVAW to open a anti-war/pro-deserter coffee shop outside of Fort Lewis Washington. To add insult to injury they may open it very close to Freedom Bridge where troop supporters rally every Saturday. If you’re not into boycotts you can at least express your displeasure at their website.
That is exactly what I was thinking
Vicki,
LOLOLO That is classic. Don’t trust her husband he married her can’t be trusted!!
I guess the Anti-war crowd needs a place to go and lick their wounds when they are out numbered 5,000 to a handful for their protests by the pro-troop crowd in the area. I wonder if Kirby Wilbur will be talking about this on Monday?
May I present to you my collection of Sarah Palin Editorial Cartoons.

Ragspierre:
I was very frustrated during the Kerry campaign when he kept hitting all the liberal talking points: socialized medicine, etc.
As a Canadian who escaped, I told the Kerry supporters that there should be an “exchange day”. All those who want to point to Canada as some sort of model/nirvana, can pack up and leave. In return, some downtrodden true Conservative from Alberta or Ontario gets to immigrate to the US. My husband calls it a one-for-one prisoner swap.
So, to the Obamaniacs, I remind them that I like freedom, free markets and capitalism. I like rewarding people for seeing an opportunity and being successful, and for being innovative.
I then give them the link to Canadian immigration and tell them the door is wide open in Canada — they are on a big immigration push — and since they speak English already, they’ll have the points needed to have their visas approved. I explain there is no need to “change” America, their slice of heaven is just a few parallels north.
Their fellow progressives await them.
Vickisoup #54 I have just the addition to annoy your neighbor, I have this one on my car, its the funniest, most subtle anti-Obama sticker I’ve seen Obama Sticker at http://www.patriotshop.us
LOL with the “O” being The ONE’s rainbow symbol.
They also have Sarah Palin for Vice President stickers.
Received in an e-mail making the rounds:
Hope And Change:
Once upon a time, there was a charismatic and eloquent young leader who decided his nation needed a change and he was the one to implement it. The people were receptive and ready for a change. He spoke passionately when denouncing the existing system and the press loved him.
Nobody questioned what he believed in or who his friends were. He would help the poor and bring free medical care and education to all. He would bring justice and equality. He said, ‘I am for hope and change, and will bring you both.’
Nobody bothered to ask about the change, so by the time the executioner’s guns went silent, all guns had been confiscated. When everyone was finally equal, they were equally poor, hungry, and miserable. Their free education was worthless. When the change was fully implemented, the country had been reduced to Third World status. More than a million people fled in small boats and rafts.
The charismatic young leader was Fidel Castro; the nation, Cuba.
The citizens of the United States would never fall for a charismatic, eloquent young leader who promises hope and change without asking, ‘What change, and how much will it cost us?’
Would we?
BlameAmericaLast re:

Typical double speak… one side of the mouth says it’s over Obama can’t lose & the other side says Obama is going to lose because of racism.
The encouraging part is, that the more they cry racism, the more they predict a loss.
Sarah Palin, Clutch Performer:
“Sarah Palin stepped up and delivered for the McCain campaign last Thursday night. After being on the national stage for six weeks, she stood up against a six term US Senator and two time presidential candidate who was supposedly a judicial and foreign policy expert. She not only held her own, but it was the expert that was forced into errors…Governor Palin also came through during her RNC acceptance speech and her speech when introduced as John McCain’s running mate. She came through big time in gubernatorial debates in Alaska. And she hit the winning free throws in the high school basketball championship game in 1982…Some people come through in the clutch. They are big moment performers. They want the ball when the game is on the line.”

Mngirl: I couldn’t get the links to open. When I cut & Pasted the youtube link it said “Not found”.
Although I didn’t get to see the video, I agree with you that Albright is an idiot. Albright posted a blog on HuffnPuff the night of the VP debate stating Joe Biden “had a good grasp of the facts”. What a laugh!!! Maybe Albright thinks Hezbollah has been kicked out of Lebanon too.
For those who disagree with my post #59,
The point I was trying to make, and perhaps mangled, is that there will be no desire in congress to pass new programs requiring massive increases in spending for some time. Without congressional action, the socialists in the administration won’t be able to enact the worst of their agenda. Hopefully they will still push hard for their ideas, thus exposing who they really are.
The real damage I see is in the area of judges. If I’m not mistaken, though, the only imminent retirements on the SC are the liberals so I hope that will mitigate the damage.
There’s a STENCH in NC today.
Obama is in Charlotte. Do not go outside. Pollution levels are extremely high.
Yea that would be great, but the coffee shop is expressly for telling our guys how they can desert! That is why Tully’s will never see a dime of my money.
PS I have pictures of that day but I don’t have them posted anymore, I just might repost it
There isn’t much McCain can say about the economy at this point, who knows what is going to happen? But he can point out what happened in the Chicago area that Obama was going to CHANGE. Is the education any better after his efforts there? Is the housing better? Are there more jobs? Now multiply that by what he’ll do to the entire US. Only his friends benefitted from that CHANGE, certainly not the citizens of Chicago.
NYAndy:
I fear that with the Obama-Reid-Pelosi trifecta, the socialist agenda will be clear sailing.
You clearly don’t understand socialists if you think they will feel constrained on spending, merely because the well is empty. Look at California for guidance. They are broke, but the Dems continue to push additional entitlement programs and haven’t reduced spending at all.
With an Obama administration and a veto-proof Dem majority in the Senate, when it comes to appointments to SCOTUS, we are screwed. It will take decades to undo, if it is possible.
To those conservatives who state they WILL NOT vote McCain, I remind them they are not voting McCain, they are voting SCOTUS.
Re: Youth Marchers for Obama…..
Last summer I went and saw my little brother at the age of 17 graduate basic training at Ft. Benning, and this November I’ll see him graduate AIT at Ft. Knox (19D).
I know what motivation, cohesion, service and bravado looks like. And it makes these poor young men in the Obama Marchers look like badly choreographed eight-year-old-cheerleaders (apologies to any Cheer Moms in the audience, but you see what I am saying).
People out here in the country are infuriated with the bailout. McCain needs to kick a$$ and name names. He needs to point out the connections with Dodd, Frank, Obama’s advisors – Raines and the other guy. He needs to hit home again and again that he raised a red flag back in 2005 or 06 and what shot him down.
Then he needs to leave Rezko, Ayers, Rev. Wright, etc. to Palin. She CAN handle it. Also let her hammer home all of Obama’s flip-flops and outright lies – meeting with Ahmadinejad, etc., etc. Air-raiding villages and civilians, etc.
They need to be shouting this from the rooftops in all the swing states. They need to do 3 rallies/day everyday in those states!
Why aren’t McCain-Palin offering voters something to vote for? I’m sick of their negative campaign. And I am disgusted with the way the GOP has been dumbed down. That used to be the province of Democrats with their quotas.
Palin is no Margaret Thatcher. Can you imagine Mrs. Thatcher winking at her people?
