Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Saturday accused Democrat Barack Obama of “palling around with terrorists” because of his association with a former 1960s radical, stepping up the campaign’s effort to portray Obama as unacceptable to American voters.
Palin’s reference was to Bill Ayers, one of the founders of the group the Weather Underground. Its members took credit for bombings, including nonfatal explosions at the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol, during the tumultuous Vietnam War era four decades ago. Obama, who was a child when the group was active, served on a charity board with Ayers several years ago and has denounced his radical views and activities.
The Republican campaign, falling behind Obama in polls, plans to make attacks on Obama’s character a centerpiece of presidential candidate John McCain’s message with a month remaining before Election Day.
Palin told a group of donors at a private airport, “Our opponent … is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he’s palling around with terrorists who would target their own country.” She also said, “This is not a man who sees America as you see America and as I see America.”
Excellent. She also needs to start pointing out the Chicago gangland tactics Obama is using to try and shut up critics and investigators who have spotlighted the Obama/Ayers’ connection.

Albright is a “has been” who wants to be relevant and has been digging at Palin for a few weeks now. Palin did great on her response.
Yes, he can talk about the economy. He can talk about the outrage that we all feel and about the crooks in Washington that enabled this meltdown. If he can tap into that, then he’s in. You are right. I am in an Obama stronghold here in CA, but when I have been talking to people and door-knocking, I am talking about Obama and education and his “change”.
I have a small flyer made up about the Annenberg Challenge (the Annenberg foundation also funds the so-called non-partisan factcheck.org – ha!).
I explain to average Moms that Obama had control of $100 Million with a clear mandate to improve education in the most neediest neighborhoods in Chicago. Then I explain where that money went, and the state of Chicago schools today.
Furthermore, I direct them to another black man who is a graduate of Harvard, and works in education with private funds, and the “change” he has made.
I am referring to Dr. Geoffrey Canada, and his Harlem Children’s Zone Project, and his charter school, the Promise Academy.

I would like Sarah Palin to be cut loose and talk about education and the Annenberg Challenge, and Obama’s track record. How he SQUANDERED away an opportunity to make a difference in lives.
What would Sarah Palin have done if handed $100 Million to improve the educational opportunities for at-risk learners?
This is one area Obama HAS a track record Team McCain can point to, and that record is ugly — and they need to hit him with it.
The Moms I speak to are appalled. It resonates with them. Sarah Palin, as the alpha PTA Mom, has credibility on this issue.
OMG that’s the hitler youth right there! I am not kidding.. those kids need to be sent to an institution and deprogrammed.. that’s just so wrong. If McCain could put that into an advert and combine it with hitler images and insinuate what we’re in for with Obama… but McCain doesn’t have any balls.

Why did I think that video of the kids was a spoof? Seriously, I thought they were mocking Obama when they stepped out of formation and said what profession they were assisgned to! Wasn’t that a spoof?? It was for real?? I couldn’t understand most of what they said, but I thought they were mocking socialism, etc. If that video was a pro-Obama film, I am totally creeped out! That would need to be played side-by-side with the children singing and put into a McCain ad. If that doesn’t scare folks into voting republican, nothing will.

We’ll have to agree to disagree on this one. I have no doubt they will push hard but I don’t think there are enough socialists in congress to enable them to get very far. I am not convinced they will have a filibuster-proof majority in the senate either.
My kids and grandchildren have already been sold into servitue this past week so some increased spending won’t have any great effect on them. I may very well retire to avoid the tax increases that will be coming my way. If I do, perhaps I’ll volunteer at some conservative organization to keep me from getting cabin-fever.
I can’t make up my mind if that is the South Side Chicago version of Hitler Jugend or the unsmiling version of those kids I used to watch singing the praises of Chairman Mao.

Funny that none of those kids aspire to be a Doctor… maybe they DO understand his health care plan after all.
Oink, for some reason McCain refuses to name names. I guess he doesn’t feel like that is moving forward or providing solutions. But it is what we want to hear from him, and will convince us that he is going to fight for us. No more Mr. Nice Guy. Show us how you weren’t voted Mr. Congeniality, Senator McCain!

I am very concerned that the Constitution, liberty and free marketing, will be out, come January, if Obama wins. I am not as concerned with him winning the Presidency, alone, as I am in conjunction with a liberal congress, headed up with Pelosi and Reid, etc.. For the first day, he’ll sit in the Oval Office and relish his victory in power grabbing. On the second day, it will hit him. He knows nothing of the Constitution, other than what he assumes, and has no real experience dealing with very experienced enemies worldwide. Domestically, he will have no real power without the congress. I see the first conference with him shaking his head “yes”, to everything Pelosi, Reid and Kennedy say…simply because he has no knowledge in what to do, other than agree with the real power people. That, along with a few statements of “You can’t do that legally, Mr. President”. With congress controlling 2/3rds of the government, they will run amok with all sorts of spending bills, while stating all the time to a populace of “yes” citizens, how everything is being done to protect them. Internationally, Obama will defer, once again, to congress, as to how he should deal with problems. Again, lots of conferences, mixed opinions, and confusion. Threats will be met by appeasement and a lot of allies will decide that they are on their own. I expect a big downturn in the U.S. dollar abroad as confusion over the economy and international politics deepens. I also expect the Constitution to become no more than a piece of paper, much like the Soviet constitition became. In the end, I expect a lot of rights and liberties disappear, and a free economy tied, in the name of class/race warfare. The Supreme Court, that rules on “feelings” and “expectations”, rather than the Constitution, will be powerless. I watched that video of the Hitler…oops, sorry…Obama youth. Start with the children, and they grow up to be valuable supporters.
Going after Obama on Ayers, Rezko and Wright isnt going to be enough. McCain HAS to go after Obama and Democrats on Fannie and Freddy, go after them HARD and explain to Americans just how Obama and the Democrats got us into this mess.
But, as we learned yesterday, the McCain camp thinks its too complicated an issue for dumb Americans to understand, and hes worried about being called a racist.
Ive got a newsflash for you John, Americans arent stupid, and theyre going to call you a racist no matter what you do. Theyre calling Sarah a racist for going after Ayers.

We’re back to peaceful “Coexistence” in my neighborhood.
McCain is coming across as a wimp for not speaking out more, and it also doesn’t look good that he’s not supporting Palin by his relative silence.
Be wary people, we soon may find ourselves fighting for our freedom on the streets of America; fighting against just the sort of jackbooted thugs that feature in his ‘youth marchers’ video.. or should I say Hitler Youth.
Obama will become increasingly vicious and dictatorial once he secures his position as POTUS, mark my words.
I always love the Obama disclaimer (which the “Drive by Media” apparently considers obligatory) in every report when a Republican makes a factual statement about Barry O. I have to assume this came from the AP.
It’s time for Sen. McCain to take off the silk gloves and put on his boxing gloves and start pummeling Obama in issues of character and political agendas.Link him with ACORN and other radical left organizations, not by virtue of association, but as a direct participant of the group themselves, either as a trainer, advocate or financier by funneling foundation funds to these groups. The consequence of not changin his tactics and strategy will be devastating to the nation and cannot be undone if Obama wins this election.
The MSM will not do this since they’re in bed with the Obamamessiah. Obama is a charmer, great speaker, albeit, with the aid of the teleprompter, and his rhetoric is very convincing. If Sen. McCain wants the MSM to expose the real Obama behind that veneer, McCain must be more aggressive in his campaign speeches.

I have 5 brothers and sisters who are die-hard
liberalssocialists. I have sent some very harsh but true responses to their Palin bashing and Obama worship. I honestly don’t think I can ever have a normal relationship with them again. It’s hard to be nice and celebrate at family occasions with people who helped put my kids into involuntary servitude and celebrate the death of countless millions of babies. They just plain disgust me!I don’t think a couple of them even realize what socialism will bring. One of them is in his 60s and on the waiting list for a lung transplant. Under socialized medicine he probably would be considered too old to be a candidate. He probably would be offered an alternative of physician assisted suicide, though.
The good thing is I have 11 brothers and sisters still living so at least I’m not completely cut off.
I do not understand the frequent reference to Obama as a skilled, convincing orator.
He is a stammering doofus with annoying syntax abd speaking inflectiona which make my skin crawl.

I just watched Brett Barr allow two raving libs go on and on ad nauseum spewing their talking points without interruption and it made me sick. Where is his backbone? He tried a couple times to interrupt and they just kept filibustering and he just sat there looking helpless. What gives??

A better question might be,How can someone who has done nothing be expected to do anything?
The Obama campaign is insisting that Ayers is a “passing acquaintance”. We must connect all the dots to Ayers…all of them, including their working relationships, etc. So far, the left is getting away with saying there is no real connection. No one in the media is even questioning that argument. Again, where is the backbone…especially on FOX???

That seems to happen more and more on Fox News. It has gotten so bad that I have to frequently hit the mute button just to keep my last meal down.
The strangest thing is that it seems to be the male reporters who always get steamrolled. I’ve seen several female reporters hit back hard when the liberals try to hijack the show. Any ideas why?

I’m sooo uninformed in this area but I vaguely remember the Black Panthers. I remember words to the effect that blacks would revolt and take-over America someday. I don’t understand what the Nation of Islam is all about (either). But this Obama Youth video has me wondering if this is what the Black Panthers and Nation of Islam thought their supporting army would look like. Also, does anyone smell the teachings of Ayers in the air too?
Back to the video: Black people don’t need Obama to have a reason to succeed do they? This is all so depressing right now but I hope this is a passage the races need to go through, to believe all are equal. Regardless, I think I’ll take a day off from the news today.

Trop, you still believe that the Presidency is a 1-person government? The President can’t do much of anything, domestically, without congressional approval. If you want to blame something, blame the SCOTUS and congress. In that, I will agree with you. These candidates can give all the speeches they want on the economy and other domestic issues, but it doesn’t mean a thing without congressional approval. The house is the only one who can pass spending bills; not the President. Oh, he can ask and make phone calls, but that’s about it. His only real power is foreign policy. He can’t expand the goverment or socialize the economy, without both houses agreeing. If I suggested you go rob a bank, and you do, under your constitution, I would be blamed and go to jail, while you went free, with the money. The real blame for the mess we’re in, is in Congress, and lackluster lame-duck Presidents…both republican and democratic congresses. They both work the same way…pass a bill, see some terrible effects, and then, blame the President. It’s easier to blame one person than 2 houses of congress.

Please take and share this REAL story as you wish to counteract those who go on about “universal health care” and how wonderful it is.
My Dad is 68 years old. Save for a congenital heart problem, he is in good health. His Dad died from this heart condition due to a blocked artery at age 41 many years ago.
When I still lived at home, I advocated for intervention surgery to help my Dad. He was continually turned down, due to the talking point, it “wasn’t severe enough”, even though he is ashen and out of breath most of the time because he can’t get enough oxygenated blood.
Specialty appointments with cardiology are cancelled (after long waits) due to cost-saving.
Well, my Dad finally had a blow out, full on heart attack. My parents are retired now, and live about 2 hrs north of Toronto in small town with a great regional hospital (I used to work there).
My mom called an ambulance and my dad was transported to the hospital in his hometown. It has a great surgery suite, new equipment, and a top-notch cardiologist.
However, what it does NOT have is funding to perform cardiology procedures (pace makers, stents, etc), because they have used up their “quota” for the year.
AND my Dad was not authorized a life flight helo ride direct hospital-to-hospital, even though he was in extreme pain, his condition was critical and he needed emergency surgery.
NOOOOO, instead, he was loaded from ER into another ambulance to the local hospital, where he was flown to Toronto Island Airport, loaded onto another ambulance, had to take the short ferry across to downtown Toronto, to hospital.
He had two stents put in and according to my brother, is doing better. For the first time in years, he actually has real color and doesn’t look ashen.
HOWEVER, there is no room for him at the hospital where he had his surgery (which could have been performed in his hometown, IF THERE WAS FUNDING), so he was then taken from the OR to another ambulance and driven around town where the staff had hospital-shopped for a CCU bed for him.
Note, my Dad is still in extreme pain and not stable. His heart rate is bouncing around, and has been as high as 170. Would you want your parent continually transferred and passed around like this?
So, now he is resting in a CCU unit (his third hospital during this ordeal), and they have told my brother that once he is stable, he can’t stay at hospital #3, they are looking for a bed in ANOTHER hospital they can move him to.
So, hours of travel while in extreme pain, multiple ambulance rides, and three (but counting) hospitals so far.
But….it’s FREE and it only took a life threatening heart attack for them to put in stents we asked for 10 years ago!!
This is your health care under OBAMA.
Anything but McCain. Just can’t handle it today.
I’ve got NASCAR on the brain. Anyone watching the Cup race at 11:00 today? The Truck Series races yesterday was awesome. It’s a pity Darnell and the Fords couldn’t get back to the front in time.
YTZGal…I’m sorry for all your Dad is going through! And your whole family. I have heard other horror stories about socialized medicine. Why do people think everyone who can, comes to the U.S.? I live in Minnesota, home of the Mayo Clinic. I wonder how socialism will work with that amazing place. Right now, I could go there if I needed to. And they would take me. And, there would be room. I am really fearful of this “nationalized healthcare” program that both Hillary and now Obama are raving about. Of course, you realize that THEY won’t have to wait for anything. They are privileged, doncha know!

I am SO grateful to be in the US, I GLADLY pay my health ins premiums every quarter.
Belinda Stronach, who tried to be PM, was diagnosed with breast cancer and immediately flew herself to CA for treatment. My uncle died because it took so long for him to be “approved” to begin cancer treatment after his diagnosis.
Those who go on about “universal health care” have NO idea.
My oldest daughter was recently admitted to Stanford for a serious medical problem, and I was extremely impressed — blown away in fact. Our family is so grateful that she got the care and treatment she needed — which she was denied in Canada. When we admitted her, they explained they have an endowment to help pay for care, so that we didn’t need to worry about her care being denied because of concerns about funding. Stanford, Mayo, etc and the like at US health care and philanthropy at its best.
One of my Dad’s arteries was nothing more than a “wizened thread” according to my brother. The Resident told my brother that not putting in at least one of the stents preventatively years ago as an elective procedure was “criminal”. My Dad has been in pain and extreme discomfort for YEARS.
My brother has taken a week off work (without pay) to be with my Mom. Because Dad is not at his home hospital, they are staying in a downtown hotel (which is expensive) for the week, and not in their own home, etc.
I am so angry right now, and I can’t control it when people out in town start going on about how Obama is going to save the world and give everybody free everything.

I knew Mitch McConnell was on thin ice, but this was the nail in his coffin, too. Elizabeth Dole is also a sure bet to be on the way out. There were more but I can’t remember. If the US survives the next 4 years, maybe, just maybe, we’ll see some fresh faces in the GOP that stand for The Constitution, America and Americans, and deserve a vote. In the meantime, lets just hope we’re not all thrown in reeducation camps by Obama’s brownshirts.
Blog, did you see the week of stories on ed in America that Britt Hume ran recently? There are more kids than ever — 250,000 — that are being homeschooled. That’s who I’m counting on. One homeschool mom called a conservative radio show to brag that she had one of the hottest commodities around — a 1952 American History book. In homeschool circles, this is considered the last year that texts didn’t bash America. Sad, ain’t it?

John won’t fight for us. If he was going to fight, he would have come out swinging hard after the abuse his VP candidate took. He is so worried about offending MSM or the left or the undecided he won’t put up his dukes. If he won’t fight for Palin, who is his partner, what makes you think he will fight for us.
You cant switch from undecided to decided unless someone gives you a clear decision to make and John wants to live in non-offensive beltway speak land

I live to cook and bake, but we don’t need the calories in our house. However, I can’t see why soldiers serving in some of the most hellacious conditions on earth should be deprived! (wink!)

I have been hearing that Omaba’s camp is saying they are going to unleash a bunch of very bad stuff about McCain’s past. They say they have a lot of stuff, but weren’t going to use it because they were trying to stay above that. But now that McCain’s camp has gotten “down in the mud”, they are going to also. Apparently, telling the truth that shows a candidates true character and beliefs is “down in the mud”. Gee, I thought that was something the American people needed to know before they picked the most powerful leader in the world. Silly me. There can’t possibly be anything about McCain that is worse than Obama’s close associations with a black liberation church, an unrepentant domestic terrorist,an indicted felon and an organization that played a big part in bringing our economy down, and is now being investigated in 7 states for voter registration fraud. Has there ever been a worse presidential candidate in the history of this country??

A point that should be made is that the Republicans main (if not sole) legitimacy in the greater black community is the old “We’re the party that freed the slaves”. If Obama gets in that mantle and ‘excuse’ to vote Republican is gone forever and with it shrinking future chances of Conservative election wins. Sounds simplistic but it’s a view that’s worked over seventy years.

Yes, the Democrats are always the last door to go through in order to get justice and human rights. The opposed freeing the slaves, that opposed desegregation, they oppose capitalism, they oppose the right to life. I just got a call from a hired call center raising funds for the college republicans. I went to their website, but it doesn’t appear to be very active, particularly in the critical swing states of OH, MI, etc. I was going to donate, but I am not sure the money can be used wisely this late in the game. Are there alternatives to this group that can help get motivated your people to vote for the McCain Palin ticket?
On a side note, does anyone else get positvely a sick feeling in their gut when they even see Obama on tv or a picture on a web page? I have lost my objectivity on this guy. He annoys me even more than Clinton ever did.

The routine they are doing is a form of a “Stomp”. In black culture, stomping is popular, going back to the slavery days when blacks worked in the coal mines. They stomped for entertainment. (I heard that on “A Different World”, so it’s probably true.) It’s kind of a cross between cheerleading and military marching.
In Illinois, our Secretary of State, career politician Jesse White has a troupe of kids he parades around every election year called “The Jesse White Tumblers”. They are kids from poor neighborhoods who do gymnastics. They perform for other citywide events , I think. I’ve never seen them anywhere but Jesse White campaign appearances, though. The troupe is his claim to keeping youngsters out of gangs.
If Obama keeps these stompers, what should they be named??

Took in a movie this afternoon…’An American Carol’. It was lite, funny and very entertaining, typical Zucker humor. You can watch his movies 2 or 3 times and still find things to laugh about. I highly recommend it for an hour and 20 minutes of good fun entertainment and very informative to a left wing America hater.

MarcoPolo ~ Don’t do that! Admittedly, McCain is the booby prize for conservatives, but keep in mind that the next president will likely fill 4 seats on the Supreme Court. As it stands, the court is split 4/4 with Kennedy as the tie breaker. The court is aging, and quickly. If you think America is lost now, just wait until Obama appoints 3 or 4 liberal activist justices to the court in his first term! If that happens, we’ll be looking at a fundemental change in America that will last a generation or more – perhaps a century! Do you really want to risk that? If you have children, you should really reconsider what your throw-away vote will do to them, as well as the legacy of the foundig fathers.
What am I thinking?
Well, every time I hear Mr. Obama speak, I see more and more malevolence in his face – and I am so very weary of his voice, already.
I know that I’m going to vote for McC and The AK Gov.
But with this veritable tidal wave of cover-up, support and protection by the American Press Corps, and by the network TV media, I cannot help wondering how the new web media (including our beloved Ms. Malkin and her friends) are going to overcome the stacked deck in getting the truth out to the American people. By that, I mean what this man really intends to do with our country.
That’s what’s on my mind.
So, I’ll pull the lever for the AK Gov and McC. And we’ll have to see what happens at the tally.
I’m aghast at the Congressional bailout and MSM whitewash acquittal of the Democrats who got us into this financial mess.
I do finally have to give Bill O’Reilly some credit for the beating he gave Barney Frank the other night for Frank’s participation and leadership that has taken us to the cliff’s edge of Socialism.
And I cannot help wondering what other unpleasant surprises await us as November 4 approaches.
And all things considered, I worry for my seven-year-old grandson and his yet-unborn children. Free speech is pretty much dead in Europe, thanks to the “Stealth Jihad” – and ours teeters at the brink. Who wants to be called a racist for pointing out facts and asking questions about Islamic doctrine and Sharia?
