PDS Alert: Media women attacking baby Trig again
Reader Cheryl watched a fresh Palin Derangement Syndrome outbreak on The View this morning: “Barbara Walters said on today’s View (October 6th) that Sarah Palin having her baby at the debate ‘bothered her.’ UN-REAL.”
And letters are rolling in about another case of Trig-related PDS yesterday on Fox News, of all places.

This morning I was watching Fox News Live, and they had guest Liz Trotta on dissecting Palin’s debate. At the very end of her comments she made this comment. “One other note…the image of dragging that handicapped infant around and having IT on stage has caused consternation in some quarters as to how tasteful this is” I was completely DISGUSTED with her comment! She claims she was just trying to show what others were saying, but to me it sure looked like she shared the opinion. Palin can’t win. If she doesn’t have her kids with her, she’s being a bad mother, and if she has them onstage she gets criticized too. But what really bothered me was calling that precious baby “IT”. Of course liberals would have just aborted IT…

Good Morning! On Fox News this morning, Eric Shawn was interviewing Liz Trotta regarding Palin’s debate performance. He was thanking her for her thoughts, and she looked down (at notes?) and asked if she could add one more thing. She then made the following statement…
“the image of dragging that handicapped baby around, having it up on stage…that has caused consternation in some crowds…”
It was an absolutely outrageous personal attack and had nothing to do with the context of the interview.

I was shocked to hear Liz refer to Trig as an “it” and was promptly corrected that he is not an it but a baby, their baby boy that they love. It was appalling. She owes us all an apology, esp those with special needs. Personally it blesses me to see Trig with his family, they all obviously love and adore him. It means alot to those who have special needs children in their families that the Palin’s do not hide him, he is an important person in their family. Have not noticed this in any blogs today. What’s up? Discrimination of the lowest upon the most vulnerable should not be tolerated. If she had said this about Obama’s kids, she’d be called a racist. There I feel better now. Yes I complained to Fox News also, I believe it was Eric Shawn who corrected Liz.

Trig is lucky to have Sarah for a mom!
Liz Trotta should be given her walking papers by the human race.
The same people would be saying she was hiding her DS child because she was ashamed if she had the other kids there and not Trig. Unbelievable!
They’ve done the same thing with McCain and his adopted daughter, Bridget. He has her on stage, they say he’s using her. He keeps her out of the spotlight (which she prefers), they say he’s ashamed of her.
The only “its” out there are liberals.
At least it isn’t bad for Michelle Obama’s kids.
I think that when you get into a “damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don’t” situation with the left then it means you are someone they know they can’t buy or manipulate.
Governor Palin knows exactly why she brings her beloved little Trig along for these trips, and the accusation and hateful comments only make the left look like the heartless jerks they are.
A lot of working moms opt for the same arrangement. He is growing fast and has special needs. Why would she not want to kiss his face and hold him every chance she gets?
The gloves coming off about Obama’s shoddy past AND present have obviously hit their mark.
The analysis from this “talking point” is that Palin must be having a tremendous impact on women, so they need to try and throw out things like Trig to try and turn women away.
If that’s all they have, sucks to be them.
Those kinds of comments reveal a lot about those who are directing them against Palin.
I’m not surprised and I don’t think anyone else should be surprised by how low these “journalists” will go to attack Governor Palin. For starters, “The View” is a crappy show which should be boycotted for the stupidity of the hosts (only Liz Hasselback has demonstrated the ability to think beyond the drive-by). As to all the rest of this piling-on mentality, it is written that people shouldn’t “criticize what they don’t understand.” Clearly, this applies here!
What about all the working women who trot their infants and young children to daycare centers hours before the sun even rises and keeps them there the whole day long, many times picking them up after dark. Don’t the feminists find that “cruel and unusal” punishment?
What double standards these people adhere to!
The sight of an innocent little baby boy offends people? What the heck is wrong with them?

I am also totally disgusted at this whole thread and would like to take this moment to personally thank Sarah, Todd and the rest of the Palin family for submitting themselves to this bashing and smearing in order to give us conservatives some hope for the future.
He is a constant reminder that despite their attempts to tell women that babies with DS should be aborted. However, there is one woman who chose love her’s instead. So, they call him an “it” because as long as they see him as less than “perfectly” human they can continue to justify murdering babies. It’s a method they employ to soothe their conscience.
I can’t for the life of me figure out how a mother caring for her child would “bother” someone. We know many of the detractors are looking for any negative, but this is just ridiculous. I don’t hear anyone complaining about children being on set and in trailers when moms are in the film and television industry. How is this any different? The debate was part of her job. Thankfully, she is able to bring her child to work with her. What’s so bad about that?
Oh, and why wasn’t Ms. Walters “bothered” when Elizabeth Hasselback’s son appeared on The View. Isn’t that the same thing as what Gov. Palin did?

What I saw at the end of the debate was sweet and loving. Liz Trotta and her ilk are seethingly anti-family. The pit bull has got to fire back on this one!

I watched the debate and I couldn’t see how he was any different from any other baby cradled in the nape of his mother’s neck. In fact, if the Lame Stream Media didn’t beat the drum continually about him, he would be considered no different. What a pathetic attack on Gov. Palin and what a shameful display of tolerance on behalf of the left.
I heard the Liz Trotta oomments yesterday, too, and was SCREAMING at the TV. Fired off an email to Fox, asking them to have Trotta retract her statement IMMEDIATELY! Disgusting.
And if Obama is in the White House, these babies may be REQUIRED to be murdered…who knows, they may need to justify a savings on that new universal health care plan.
People who say things like that about a woman’s baby must be bucking to work as guards in the concentration camp.

During the debate, Joe Biden referred to a late term baby (7th, 8th, 9th month) as a “fetus”. Typical liberal schmucks.

The closest anyone came to talking about fetuses was “Drill, baby, drill.”

What I find interesting is how the liberals/Democrats/media have probably set back women in politics to the dark ages. Women are certainly strong enough to withstand these personal attacks – but what Mother would ever subject their children (especially special needs) to these ruthless, evil attacks having seen what they have done to Gov. Palin? And who could blame women from saying “no thanks!” when called to public service? I’m afraid the media has taken away some very talented people from our political system.
Libs should be more careful; If all mentally challenged children were aborted the Democratic Party would cease to exist.
Some of the same “evidence”, such as sonogram, used for these types of diagnoses can’t even predict the gender of the baby with 100% accuracy.
This is why I quit the comic hobby and business 10-12 years ago. It is so full of left wing propaganda that you just wouldn’t believe. I’d almost forgotten about that until reading this column. The artwork was getting very racy as well. They really shouldn’t be pushing that stuff on children.
I am the father of an 18 year old daughter with DS, and she is an absolute blessing to our family. Not only does she radiate love and enthusiasm, but I believe that her presence in our family has helped her three brothers to be more compassionate and understanding. I honestly believe that she and other DS individuals are some of God’s choicest spirits.
Back when it was on television, one of our family’s favorite TV series was “Life Goes On”, which had Chris Burke, a young man with DS, as one of the main characters.
One thing I could say about my daughter and her capabilities; she participates in Special Olympics bowling, and she’d likely beat Barack Obama in a game of bowling.
After the lobotomy, of course.
There’s a DS young lady that lives a few houses down from mine. Whenever I’m on a run with the dog and she’s outside, she’ll say hello – how are you and ask where my husband is. After I’ve told her that he was still at work a few times. She’ll know say hello, and is your husband still at work? I tell her yes and I always end up smiling after our little exchange.
I should back-up a bit and add that before her siblings would yell at her to not bother me but she was never a bother. Besides, she didn’t listen to them anyway.
I feel the same way about my autistic son, Hunter. Besides, if anyone asks why our children were born that way refer them to this Scripture:

Liz Trotta is the same woman who said “and now we have what some are reading as a suggestion that somebody knock off Osama. Um, uh, Obama. Well both, if we could.”
This person is a deranged loon. And she’s not a liberal, as many of you seem to suggest. The idea this attack came from Obama’s camp is beyond silly.
There are two types of people in the world:
(1) Honest people who do the right thing–regardless of the personal cost or inconvenience to themselves. Sara Palin is in this class–as is John McCain. She is sincere in her belief in God and will not destroy human life.
(2) Basically dishonest people who talk a good fight until there is a personal cost or inconvenience to themselves. Barack Obama is in this class–his statement that “I do not want my daughters to be PUNISHED BY AN UNWANTED BABY” (healthy or not!) proves this–he is O.K with aborting the baby.
(3) Which candidate shows the strong values we need in our leaders?
(4) May God bless the strong women who take his approach–have the child and love it. I know a number of women who are raising their Down Syndrome children–they will never be completely normal, but they bring a lot of joy into their families and friends lives. God will tell their families, “Well Done!” when they stand before him on the final day of judgement.
(5) What will God think of those who aborted their babies?

Downs kids are some of the most lovable and adorable people in the world.
I studied under a musical master whose son had Downs. Just a really neat person, and I have no idea how my teacher would have been able to enjoy life without him. These people (with Downs Syndrome) are some of the most loving and giving people the world has to offer.
And yes, they’re better people than most, including myself and most of you.
Depriving the world of the unique blessing they bring is an absolute travesty.

What do you do if you can’t inflict damage by attacking your opponent’s politics? You do what any self-aggrandizing, morally-deficient liberal would do….try to inflict hurt by making personal strafing attacks.
Although as despicable as these people are, they demonstrate the contrast between actual loving parents (the Palins), and those who deem “defective” children an embarrassment. i have heard liz on fox and peggy noonan on the radio this morning, and my take is both these women need desperately to get off manhatten island and live for a while back in the usa. the new england – washington d.c. party circuit of republicans were the people who forced john mccain on us, and just as we got both bush’s and ford and dole, because these rinos wanted conservative light candidates while democrats put up kerry, obama, and dukakis.
Does your cousin ever express the same worry over the children in Hollyweird that grow up on stage and infront of cameras? Somehow I doubt it. But hey, if your cousin is so concerned I suggest starting a massive movement to stop children actors in Hollyweird. Protect their little brains-a liberal brain is a terrible thing to…nevermind. Scrap the movement.
My daughter and I went to see the movie, “American Carol” this weekend. Loved it though there were some comedic references my daughter didn’t understand.
During the previews there was an appeal to donate to an organization that helps DS adults with job training, placement and independent living. Several celebrities were featured in it and last but not least was Meredith Viera, formally of the “View”.
I found it odd, considering the viciousness they have exhibited toward Sarah Palin’s decision to have Trig and not abort him.
Anyone want to get rig of their IT’S may wife and I will take them.
I have been appalled by The View and especially at Barbara Walters. I have sent many emails to ABC and to Ms. Walters and her producers to no avail. I am a respectful mother of 4 children and cannot believe that she would say such a thing. What exactly bothers her about Trig Palin? I want answers! I never resort to name calling but I am sorry, Ms. Walters is a name that rhymes with Witch. Better yet, she is both a Witch and a B***h. We must make them stop this junk, by turning off our tv away from these shows and these channels and condemn them for what they do.
Might I suggest everyone take a moment to send up a quick prayer for Sarah and her family.

Caught a couple of minutes of ESPN 1050 Radio in NY about 11:45 this morning and host Max Kellerman called Sarah Palin mentally retarded and repeated the Matt Damon talking points about 6000 years ago and dinosaurs or some such nonsense before I flipped the dial.
There’s no escaping this.
Saw it this past weekend as well. Great movie.

This is the Walters who made a big deal a few years ago about a woman nursing a baby on a plane. Clearly she has issues, and I propose that our new National Socialist Party Health Insurance start by covering her for mental problems.
Please. No one’s attacking Trig, and it’s totally disingenous to state that they are. Walter’s attack was based on the fact that Palin trotted out her family (which Obama has been criticized here for countless times) for the cameras. It was political photo-opportunism at its best.
