From yesterday's topic regarding inane questions;

The Obama campaign has already sent out the message that the “associations” questions are “Not important to the American public. Only questions about policy, e.g. financial crisis, are appropriate.”

I’m sure Tom Brokaw will do the right thing, and follow that advice. I look for him to cut off any comments by McCain (under the auspices of decorum) that would lead to Obama having to answer questions about his past radical associations. I also don’t expect to call Obama out on any prevarications, since those are only in the mind of the beholder.

I think I was partially right. I was wrong about McCain, though. I was hoping he would show a little more temerity and attack Obama when given the opportunity. He did not. Don't expect McCain to call out Obama live...if it does happen, it will be via ads, or by Palin.

He should not give Obama an opportunity to confer with his handlers. Direct confrontation with Obama will yield the best results for Republicans...neither McCain, nor his staff apparently understand this.

It's just like standing up to a bully...if you turn the other cheek, you can expect more of the same. Get in the bully's face, and watch the cowardice get exposed. "D-d-duh, duh, d-d-u-h-h,um,um..uh,uh, b-b-but Bush...yada, yada, yada...."

Train wreck? If Sen. McCain says one more time he has a history of reaching across the table I am turning OFF the TV.

He doesn't get it that his side and the other side have a 14% approval rating.

Hit him with a pertinent question about Bill Ayers.

Senator McCain, the ACORN offices in the Waterga, uh, Las Vegas were broken into, uh, searched by administration thugs, uh, officers to plant, uh, find evidence of voter fraud. What would you do to stop this type of racist activity by BushHitler?

Senator Obama, did you find anything incorrect in my previous statement?

Records vs rhetoric.....nice thought, but McCain just isn't projecting like he should...too soft, grandfatherly.

What "new value" will my home have....after all, I pay my mortgage monthly?

here we go, emphatic "global crisis" question. People, just sit down, put hands under thighs, sit down, and ride it out.

Bush connection...DRINK UP!
