Badge of honor: “Islamophobia’s Dirty Dozen”
The terror apologists at FAIR (fellow travelers with CAIR) have published a report on “smearcasters” whom they have dubbed “Islamophobia’s Dirty Dozen.”
Yes, I made the list — along with many other outspoken critics whom I’ve learned much from and greatly admire. I consider it a badge of honor. Here’s one of my quotes on this blog that FAIR singled out as hateful:
I stopped using the terms “Islamic fascist” and “Islamofascism” a while ago…because they obscure rather than clarify. The views held by the Muslim jihadis who want to destroy us are not marginal views held only by a minority of “Islamic fascists.”

My colleague’s children (western NJ) got Yom Kippur off from school this week, but they don’t get Columbus Day (a federal holiday) off. Where was all the outrage over putting religion over your country then? Or is it only wrong to put religion first if it’s Islam?
And, FYI, as a PROUD Muslim (and a PROUD American) it’s going to take more than pork jokes to offend us – you just come across as really lame and stupid when you make them. But feel free to try again when you come up with something more original!

When these people attack you, you know you’re on the right track. Good for you, Michelle.
I detest Islam as much as (if not more than) I detest Christianity. But you do take it too far, Ms. Malkin. A girl in my college was wearing a keffiyeh this morning, but I don’t consider her an accomplice to terrorism or a jihadist sympathizer. If I followed your logic, though, I would think those things of her. You need to chill out, is all.
The point is that a majority of Muslims are actually decent, good people. I know you have your statistcs that certain significant percentages of Muslims support terrorism, but I’m sure I could find statistics that show similiarly significent percentages Christians approving of executing gays and abortion doctors. Or who would support an all-out war on Muslims. Christians are just as bad; you would do well to recognise this.

Thank you for being so strong. The supposed “champions of free speech” are always the ones trying to shut down free speech when they don’t agree with what is said. This has never been more true than now. We’re not allowed to criticize Obama or his associations because that’s racist. Someone is being investigated because he dared use Obama’s middle name in a speech. It’s his middle name for heaven’s sake! These leftists try to intimidate anyone with whom they disagree and all of us should be afraid of that.

Islamophobia = a prejudicial fear of Muslims
Islamic terrorism = violent acts performed in the name of Islam designed to incite fear in large groups of people
With the widespread threat of Islamic terrorism, Islamophobia sounds fairly rational to some. However, I’d like to join FAIR and CAIR in the fight to end Islamophobia.
Certainly, we can agree that the real enemy here isn’t those who become fearful at the mere presence or mention of someone of the Islamic faith, but rather the individuals who have caused this fear by flying airplanes into skyscrapers, attacking our troops, and blowing themselves up in crowded markets and discotheques.
Let’s turn our fear into anger and focus it on those who (a) seek to commit acts of Islamic terrorism, and (b) refuse to publicly condemn such acts.
We hear about how these are marginal beliefs – that real Muslims are participants in a “religion of peace.” Certainly, advocates of a religion of peace will not mince their words when it comes to terrorism in the name of their religion.
I’m anxious to hear from them.

Congrats MM ! Remember there is no country to align with in Islam. Islam is the state. The infidels set up the middle eastern counties in the early 20th century. One major reason they aren’t Iranians, Iraqis, Saudis….Muslim countries are run by clerics. No seperation of church and state.

Thank you for post #19. Wow! Stunning and brilliant thoughts from Winston Churchill. Perhaps Mr. Churchill was the original inspiration for the Smearcasters list. Rarely do I read Churchill and not come away with a renewed appreciation for his insight, intellect and command of the Queen’s language. My day has been made.
You can count me as one of those 42% who considers myself a Christian first and an American second. I suppose that makes me a Christofascist.
By the way, those little charts don’t do a damn thing to prove that all, or the majority of, Muslims support terrorism. Being misguided as to the cause of 9/11 doesn’t mean you support 9/11.
This is extremely depressing to see spoken aloud. My only solace is this year’s election cycle proving that this kind of unhinged racism has been so marginalized. I deplore John McCain as a candidate, but it’s good to see that the right chose the most moderate and least hateful candidate they had in the primaries.

Badge of honor..indeed. May I suggest that most American non-Muslims belong in this esteemed group. Islam (aka the religion of pieces) is the only religion that I am aware of that has a holy book that orders its followers to kill non-believers “whereever they are”. The Kill-ran suborns murder, plain and simple. Muslims that dont follow its edict chose not to follow it; but this does not change the FACT that this book orders followers to kill non-Muslims. I would be curious to see some kind of data on that. Do you really believe that to be the case?
I’m no christian, but the bible has such laudible goals as “love thy neighbor as thyself” and “thou shalt not kill.”
Muslims, on the other hand, are commanded over 120 times in the koran to “kill the infidel, wherever he may be”, and that its ok to lie, cheat, and swindle infidels.
Of course, liberals dont see a difference between these 2 ideologies.
