ACORN Watch: 1 voter, 72 registrations, ciggies and cash
NYPost’s Jeane MacIntosh is doing great work exposing ACORN’s standard operating procedures in Ohio.
A man at the center of a voter-registration scandal told The Post yesterday he was given cash and cigarettes by aggressive ACORN activists in exchange for registering an astonishing 72 times, in apparent violation of Ohio laws.
“Sometimes, they come up and bribe me with a cigarette, or they’ll give me a dollar to sign up,” said Freddie Johnson, 19, who filled out 72 separate voter-registration cards over an 18-month period at the behest of the left-leaning Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.
“The ACORN people are everywhere, looking to sign people up. I tell them I am already registered. The girl said, ‘You are?’ I say, ‘Yup,’ and then they say, ‘Can you just sign up again?’ ” he said.
Just doing the thug thizzle that ACORN and Obama know so well.

I appreciate your creativity, but I don’t think ACORN workers are looking that far into the future, especially since it is likely a high turnover position. I also don’t see why Democrats would need to be in power for the relationship to continue.
More importantly, the issue is not how ACORN employees vote, unless you are insinuating that the workers themselves perpetrate the fraud on election day. Is that what you are saying?

I agree. ACORN is being investigated and if fraud was perpetrated by their employees they should be punished as well. However, I still don’t understand why this is such a huge issue. Are Democrats using it to their advantage? There’s a missing link and no one has provided it yet.
Question: If ACORN is making all these fraudulent registrations in cities, how many of these cities where they are doing it are already “blue”. Wouldn’t this defeat the purpose in regards to the electoral votes? I’m not all that good with civics, but isn’t it the electoral votes that decide the win, not popular vote?
Would seem to me that they would just be overkilling the already “blue” areas, and in the end make no difference.
Also, how would they go about the voting process? Surely there would have to be *someone* caught just sitting and voting over and over and over?
Just grasping at straws here in hopes that I’m right somehow. This voter fraud stuff is incredibly out of hand, and the Govt. is doing next to nothing about it.
I did google it and came across this site called Rotten Acorn. They have an ongoing list of recent fraud. All of it is related to voter registration though. Could you point me somewhere else regarding the actual votes?

What happens after the fake names are registered?
On a positive note, I’m glad the MSM is finally waking up to all the ACORN fraud; it’s been all over the news today.
I have a simple solution for you blue.
I will allow all the ACORN registered voters to vote IF they can provide proof that they are who they say they are.
Allow for VOTER ID to be used in every election and I will removed my critism.
But under the current system too many staes dont require voter ID. And that makes the fraud that much easier to do.
If you want every vote to count they lets make sure they are valid votes.

I went back and re read all my posts, and didn’t find any errors in logic. But then again, I wrote them in the fist place. Perhaps you’re confused because I was responding to multiple people who raised slightly different issues?

I think I’ve clarified those statements since. I retracted the “systemic” claim because, as written, it was not what I intended. The first post is always the most incendiary anyways.
I think my greater point still stands. No one can tell me what ACORN does with these fake registrations. Until someone can do that, I think it is more reasonable to believe that the fraud is the result of employees trying to make some money. Do you fundamentally disagree that the latter is the more reasonable explanation given the information we have?

ACORN submits all the Voters Registration Forms to the local election registrar, who then tries to validate the registration forms. ACORN can claim that they are unaware of the infringement and point out that the election officials are the one who’s responsible for verification. The odds are some of the fraudulent ones can be screened out but some could slip through the system and compromise the integrity of the elections.
Hope this will help assuage your doubting mind.

Here in Washington (state) I took my wife to get registered to vote.
They didn’t even ask for *any* ID. Not even a utility bill.

The purpose of registering millions of phony names is not that people will then go and vote under those names. The purpose is to break the system, or at the least cause a complete loss of confidence in the system. It is the direct implementation of what is called the “Cloward-Piven Strategy”, something everyone in America needs to google and get REALLY familiar with. You may want to start with this article at American Thinker, Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis. The plan is multifaceted, and the voter issues (not just this one, but the recent efforts in many states to get illegals and felons the ability to vote, to cast severe public doubt on the security of new electronic voting machines, and the new ‘motor-voter’ laws in some places, and more, they’re all part and parcel of Cloward-Piven.)
Dig into it, you will see many connections to Obama and Cloward-Piven. This FM/FM mortgage meltdown is direct implementation of the Strategy, as well. The end results: Break our Institutions to the point where all public confidence is lost, then take over. The public needs to be told this, but I think the public has been oversaturated with Conspiracy by the left, that they won’t be bothered anymore. Not in 3 weeks for sure. You’d need to make a blockbuster motion picture, then mandate that everyone go see it.
