Crush the Obamedia narrative: Look who’s “gripped by insane rage”

By Michelle Malkin  •  October 12, 2008 11:50 AM

The Obamedia is attempting to set yet another false narrative: The narrative of the McCain “mob.” McCain-Palin rallies are out of control, they wheedle. Conservatives are mad! They’re yelling mean things about Obama and calling him names! It’ scaaaaary!

Paul Krugman is trembling: “Something very ugly is taking shape on the political scene: as McCain’s chances fade, the crowds at his rallies are, by all accounts, increasingly gripped by insane rage…What happens when Obama is elected? It will be even worse than it was in the Clinton years. For sure there will be crazy accusations, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see some violence.”

Frank Rich decries “Weimar-like rage” and the “violent escalation of rhetoric.”

Please.

Let’s talk about “insane rage” and “violent escalation.”

This is insane rage — Madonna bashing Sarah Palin and shrieking “I will kick her ass:”

This is insane rage — Sandra Bernhard bashing Sarah Palin and cursing her head off with hate warping her crazed face:

This is violent escalation — Palin-hating artwork designating her an “M.I.L.P.” (Mother I’d Like to Punch). Hat tip: Edge of Forever:

This is insane rage and violent escalation — trendy “ABORT Sarah Palin” stickers:

This is self-admitted insane rage: Why Sarah Palin Incites Near-Violent Rage In Normally Reasonable Women.

This is insane rage — the Democratic Underground indulging in name-calling the MSM ignores:

Reader Monica M. sent me a link to the Democratic Underground’s latest thread for commenters to come up with nicknames and posters to slime GOP Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin — and then to “spread [them] all over the ‘net.” There are now nearly 100 filthy, hate-filled responses and counting. Among the “nicer” entries: “Cruella,” “Gidget,” “Governor Jesus Camp,” “VPILF,” “Fertilla the Huntress,” “Iditabroad,” and “KILLER PYSCHO FUNDIE BITCH FROM HELL!!”

…Peer with me further into the liberal sinkhole again and behold P.D.S. in full bloom. Note that this site is raising money for Barack Obama and that an ad for their fundraiser appears at the top of the thread. Is Obama going to accept their cash? Know your enemy:

…The Photoshop entries getting thumbs up from DU commenters:

And the sickest attack of them all — mocking Palin for being a nursing mom:

This is insane rage — deranged left-wing photographer Jill Greenberg sabotaging an Atlantic magazine photo shoot of John McCain and defacing the pictures on her website:

This is insane rage and violent escalation — pointing a fake gun at the head of a Sarah Palin likeness sitting next to a cardboard cutout of her daughter in a museum display:

The Obamedia diaper-wetters are gripped with fear over a few over-the-line catcalls at McCain-Palin rallies. Ana Marie Cox is even making things up to advance the narrative.

But, as Glenn Reynolds notes, they’ve looked the other way at the last four years of anti-Bush assassination chic — a subject I covered extensively in Unhinged and on this blog:

And speaking of violent escalation, let’s revisit the Unhinged: The Mugshot Collection for the violent escalation last election cycle that the Obamedia ignored:

And don’t even get me started on the left’s escalating war on military recruiters.

So, let’s give the tongue-clucking and tut-tutting about “insane rage” and “violent escalation of rhetoric” a rest then, shall we? There’s a bottomless well of it in the backyard of the Paul Krugmans and Frank Riches and Ana Marie Coxes of the world. Look in the mirror.

Fresh headlines ignored by the MSM:

Pair arrested after large McCain sign torched in Sellwood

Authorities have arrested two men after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a 4-foot by 8-foot campaign sign for Republican presidential candidate John McCain in a southeast Portland yard.

Karen Scrutton said she was asleep inside her home at 7956 S.E. 17th Ave. in the Sellwood neighborhood when she saw her sign go up in flames after 1 a.m.

“I screamed upstairs to my husband, ‘Jean! Jean!” she said.

A neighbor heard a crash and chased off one of the suspects. Jean Scrutton said his son-in-law found another suspect not far away.

Not long after, investigators picked up Leslie Brockette Leudtke and Kevin Carl Robinson, both 23. After interviewing them, the pair was charged with four counts each of manufacturing and possession of a destructive device. In addition, Leudtke was charged with a single count of reckless burning.

Was Lee Harvey a right wing nut? How about John Wilkes Booth? If I were the Dems, I would be more worried who off’d the FOB’s (Friends of Bill), far more than I would worry about any right wing extremists. Its funny how Bill and Hillary are stumping for Obama more these days. lol

Anyway, the right wing nuts are more worried about how to keep their meth-labs from blowing up rather than tracking libs.

So it’s a matter of record that Barack Hussein Obama is a Muslim?

As I noted before, MsJustice, it is a matter of (official) record that when he went as “Barry Soetoro”, Obama religion was “Islam”.

The AP, though now fully in the tank for Obama in the general election, noted that fact awhile back after coming upon the actual record, which you can view here (and elsewhere, for that matter):

AP photo of school register reveals “Barry Soetoro” as muslim Indonesian

Now it certainly may be that he has converted to another religion since that time. The problem – he has no “conversion story”, e.g. how did he get from “there to here”? In some Christian circles they call it a person’s “testimony”.

It’s just another one of those troubling questions that Obama has failed to address. Instead he complains when questions are asked, he stonewalls and gives his site another of his patented 1984-memory hole scrubbings.

Americans know more about the leadeship of North Korea than we do about Obama’s background.

Good Grief! Went to the link you provided and the article also said the papers shown stated that he was an Indonesian. HUH?

At the time the papers were written he was six years old. Did he fill out the papers, or did his step father fill out the papers? Well, it doesn’t look like the handwriting of a six year old to me. OK, maybe he was dictating to the Head Master who recorded what was being told to him by a six year old. Yes, when I was six years old, and every other six year old I knew, was doing this, filling out school forms.

Yep, I’ve got problems with Sen Obama’s policies but not about when he was six years old. The logic of this arguement escapes me. At six, I pretty much did what my parents told me. Geez, I barely dressed myself. Making this an issue of presidential qualifications is specious and frustrating.

Apperently your opinion of the guy doesn’t impress the court; as of now, Judge Surrick has ruled against Obama and the DNC and Obama has to produce his birth certificate on October 15th. Per his usual M.O., Obama has been stonewalling. Stonewalling over being unable to come up with his own birth certificate.

Obama can only hope the Judge rules for his/DNC’s appeal for an order to stay discovery, which they filed on Oct 9th. Otherwise the spam hits the fan on the 15th.

Isn’t it bizarre the Democrats are running a candidate who cannot produce an official (vault) birth certificate? The DNC should have vetted Obama long before now.

This guy may be a crank, but so far he’s certainly has Obama and the DNC in a corner on this. Only the legal questions matter. The rulings/status on this case can be found at the link below:

Until he produces what your thougt or document is, he is unelectable. If he does not address these questions, he is unelectable.

Good Greif! He wants to impose a windfall tax on companies that already pay an enormous amount of taxes. I have managed to save more than half my income in the past several years. Hence, I have made pretty good “profits” for my labor. I don’t want him taxing my so called ‘windfall profits.’

I don’t want to pay the health care costs for someone who wants a gender change operation, take care of someone who smokes, drinks excessively, or has a drug problem. Does health care include dentistry and othodontry? Does he expect to pay the medical cost of an 89 year-old that are estimated to be six million dollars? Does he expect to pay for seven kidney transplants for one person? Does his healthcare plan include these items?

I’d prefer him to answer these questions.

As for the questions everyone has raised that they say have not been addressed by Sen Obama, I do not know if he has, or has not addressed them. For those who are asking, has anyone been to his web site to see if he has?

Good Greif. Has Sen Obama addressed whether he is a bed wetter, or not? He may destroy the matresses in the White House. Since we don’t know, and he has not addressed this important question, he shall remain unelectable.

It’ll be certainly interesting if the 15th arrives and the Obama/DNC motion to suppress discovery has not been granted. As you say, coughing up one’s birth certificate should be no big deal and it’s the kind of thing you’d wanna kill early, not in mid-October.

I imagine if Obama isn’t willing to provide legal documentation of his birth to the court, he could appeal to a higher court. But if he has nothing to hide, it would be foolish to drag it out.

The problem there is in Obama’s stonewalling, FM. Without his permission the records cannot be made public – those investigating this have tried to get Obama’s birth info, but no dice. He refuses to let anyone see it. Pretty much the same problem as with Kerry stonewalling his records in 2004.

If we look at these attacks (and the MSM’s decision to ignore them) as attacks aimed at individuals not because of their actions or their personalities but because of their beliefs, it is very easy to take all of these things very personally.

Bush, McCain and Palin are being attacked in these viscous, viscous ways solely because of their conservative beliefs. As such, these attacks aren’t really against these three at all, but against the Conservative belief system and all who hold it. These attacks are against every single (conservative) one of us here.

The Liberals understand this. An attack against a gay man because of his homosexuality is an attack against all gay men, an attack against a Black man because of his race is an attack against all Black men. Because any gay or Black man would have been a viable target for the attackers, easily swapped out for the unlucky sod who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

When someone holds up a picture of Bush with a gun at his head, they are not simply saying that Bush should be shot, they are stating that all those who hold his beliefs should be shot. Same with McCain and the monkey and Palin and the “abort” messages. When the press turns a blind eye to sexist remarks against Palin, every Conservative woman in America is being put on notice by the MSM that if they seek political power in the U.S. they are fair game for any Liberal jackass who wants to make sexist remarks about them.

The attacks aren’t against Bush, McCain and Palin, they are just the unlucky ones in the spotlight right now.

These attacks are against all of us.
