I received several e-mails today from readers complaining about Barack Obama’s backdrop in Toledo today. Apparently, some talk show hosts have also gone ballistic over what they think is an “Obama flag:”

You know, being from Ohio I never even saw the resemblance (obviously). I can tell you that I wouldn’t expect anyone who isn’t from Ohio to know what our state flag looks like though.
I sure as hell wouldn’t recognize any other state flag at first glance; and I don’t see this as a bad reflection on the education system.

Good point, RedBuckeye, even though I live close enough to Ohio and have been there enough times to recognize the state flag. I wouldn’t expect anybody outside my state to recognize its flag either. By the way, RedBuckeye, can you tell me what the Indiana state flag looks like?
Of course that’s not Obama’s flag; his has a field of lighter blue and the golden Obama egg about to hatch. His secret flag is white on one side and black on the other. /s.
Anyone notice that there were no black people in Obama’s economic commercial that ran about every other break all weekend? (Note to trolls: my noticing it make me observant; not a rascist.) But then again, the market I live in is fly-over country. I wonder what color the folks were in more diverse areas (if he bothered).

That shoold have been obvious. Not because people necessarily ought to recognoze the flag of Ohio but because The One is into pastels; the flag in the picture is far too bold and assertive.

I surely can’t. Maybe it’s just me, but really the only place you’ll see our state flag on display is downtown at the statehouse or in a 6th grade Ohio History class. Aside from that, unless you’re down in Chillicothe or a place where people still reflect somewhat daily on the history of the state, you’re really not going to see our state flag out in public (and if you do, it’s small and looks like a baseball pennant, so its easily dismissible).
Ha, I sure hope it doesn’t become an Obama flag, what with Brunner’s antics and all… It’s nevertheless disturbing that an “Obama flag” is a plausible sighting. (Ohio native here.)

I recognize very few of the state flags at first glance. And even Obama’s myrmidons could not be so stupid as to try and plagarize a symbol for the campaign’s own purpo…. oops..I probably misspoke – forgot his presidential seal. D’oh!
I’m sure the venue props weren’t lost on Obamadia. The fact the flags were partially unfurled provides yet another opportunity for the moonbat Obamaminions to pray to their idol.

Sarah Palin says she’s out of the main stream Washington Elite. Maybe so, but she’s learned to conduct herself like the corrupt Republican she is. The troopergate report said she abused power. She claimed she was exonerated despite the plain words in the report. Now we learn that contractors doing business with Wasilla built her fancy house for her, free of charge. A Senator from the same state is on trial for exactly that crime.

Good God that is NOT true. The man won a hard fought primary (you can’t say that about McCain) where voters got to know him and liked what they saw. Voters are getting to know him in the general election and they are liking what they see.

Still trying to figure out how Obama plans to cut taxes to 95% of the people when only 60% pay any taxes. This equates to an INCREASED tax rebate for 40% of the people with tax increase on only 5% of the people.
Plus 1 trillion in new spending, above what is already being spent. All paid for by taxing 5% of the people and a slow draw down from Iraq?

It’s NOT a wasted vote. McCain has not earned my vote, in fact, he’s totally turned me off in his choice of the bullying, amateur Palin (who DID abuse power, despite her lies). He turned me off with his careless and vile attacks on Obama. And he’s turned me off with his erratic behavior and angry temperament. He is NOT a steady hand on the tiller. And his mortgage proposal is just STUPID.
Obama hasn’t earned my vote because I find him too liberal. Though at this point, the usual smears against liberals are ALL applicable to conservatives these days (they may not tax to the same extent, but they spend astronomically).
The last liberal president balanced the budget. No Republican in my lifetime has done that. The fact do not match the fear I see here on this blog.
Palin violated Alaska state law and abused power. Were she a Democrat, this blog would be all over her for that abuse. Her politics may agree with mine, but she’s unfit to serve this great nation. McCain could have and should have chosen better. He’s unfit for the highest office in the land.

Wouldn’t you say that Obama’s ties to these enterprises is a bit more damning than McCain’s? Besides, all of the cover Obama is receiving from the MSM has all but made this a non-issue anyway. Nevertheless, I brought it because you didn’t mention it in your initial diatribe about the candidates.
