ACORN Watch: RICO suit filed in Ohio
The Buckeye Institute has filed a RICO suit against ACORN in Ohio.
This should be done in every one of the states where ACORN “franchises” operate.
The Buckeye Institute, a Columbus-based think tank, today filed a state RICO action against the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) on behalf of two Warren County voters. The action filed in Warren County Court of Common Pleas alleges ACORN has engaged in a pattern of corrupt activity that amounts to organized crime. It seeks ACORN’s dissolution as a legal entity, the revocation of any licenses in Ohio, and an injunction against fraudulent voter registration and other illegal activities.
Plaintiffs Jennifer Miller of Mason, Ohio and Kimberly Grant of Loveland, allege that ACORN’s actions deprive them of the right to participate in an honest and effective elections process. They allege fraudulent voter registrations submitted by ACORN dilute the votes of legally registered voters.
“The right to cast a vote that is not diluted by fraudulent votes is a fundamental individual right,” Buckeye Institute President David Hansen said.
“ACORN appears to be recklessly disregarding Ohio laws and adding thousands of fraudulent voters to the state’s roles in the process,” Maurice Thompson, Director of the Buckeye Institute’s 1851 Center for Constitutional Law said. “Such voter fraud erodes the value of legally cast votes,” he added.
In the complaint, Thompson cites an accumulation of evidence showing numerous instances of admitted fraud by ACORN employees, as well as individuals solicited by ACORN.
“In light of its hiring, training and compensation practices, ACORN should have known its conduct would cause fraud,” Thompson said. “It also should know that its conduct will cause fraud in the future.”
In addition, the complaint cites conduct by ACORN in Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.

First of all, it’s the Democrat party. There is nothing democratic about the Democrats.
Secondly, I just sent an email to the CA secretary of state, asking what she plans to do about ACORN voter fraud in CA. Awaiting answer in 3,2,1.
Many of us tried to tell John McCain how offended we were with such patronizing terms. I would guess there are millions of us who do not fill out forms, polls etc: with White:other:Latino/hispanic or Martian/Vulcan. As in WE WERE BORN HERE SENATORS. Hispanic would be a language group. As my oldest son was stationed in Germany for three years I guess my granddaughter is German–she speaks it well. She speaks English too but she ain’t the Queen nor Liza DooLittle.
So while John McCain, Lindsay Grahm and the rest of the illegal lobby pander for votes they will never get he is chasing away those of us who always did support the Party. So never put it past the Bopsey Twins to pull defeat from the jaws of victory.

Voter Registration Fraud results not only in Illegal Voting - it also skews the statistical models used by the pollsters (e.g. Gallup) resulting in More Dems being polled each day than otherwise justified, and thereby skewing the One’s poll nos. that much higher than justified. Remember how far off the Exit Polls were in 2004? They’re likely to be way farther off this time with the Bradley effect added to all the standard Dem biases!
I think the right needs a new strategy. When found at fault they admit it and try to make amends, i.e. resign, go to jail after pleading guilty. The left just denies, they lift their scrawny heads and press on. Sex with an intern in the Oval Office…no problem. Impeachment…no problem. Loss of law license…no problem. Get caught taking a bribe from Countrywide in the form of great mortgage….no problem. Look the other way while Freddie and Fannie rape the country…no problem. Just press on!
What does it say about our Federal Government that private parties have to file these lawsuits rather the Attorney General of United States.
What Rock has he, the AG, been under that he would allow voter fraud on such a massive scale to occur without action from his office?
What Rock has the RNC been under to allow ACORN to perpetrate this massive voter fraud without them filing charges or at least filing a lawsuit in every stat in the union against these criminals and thugs?
What Rock has each and every state AG been under?
It is not as if these people just organized they have been doing this crap for over 20 years.
What does this say about our country and fair elections.
I received a crap email response from the IN Atty General telling me that the county chairs had to file a complaint before he could take any action regarding alleged voter fraud. What a crock! No wonder the GOP is in such disarray. When the press is reporting that you have more voters registered in 2 major population centers of your state, why do you need party/county leaders to file a complaint? That’s nuts and so are we for continually re-electing these bozos!!!

We need this to happen in EVERY state ACORN is involved in.
If McCain doesn’t hammer away at this in the final debate, he deserves to get his tail kicked. Hopefully, this suit will start a wave across the country. Let’s all hope that the courts act on these complaints, but FAST!
