Beyond Obamacorn: Democrat Party voter fraud in Louisiana
From KSLA in Shreveport, Louisiana: A group funded by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee to mobilize a voter registration drive on behalf of Dem. Sen. Mary Landrieu is under investigation for voter fraud by the Louisiana Secretary of State.
It’s not just Obamacorn.
The scoop:
“They walked in here just mounding up cards,” said Registrar of Voters for Caddo Parish, Ernie Roberson while looking over a box full of thousands of voter registration cards. “They” are a group called Voting is Power, that went door to door in Caddo Parish to register people to vote, “They turned in about 8600 applications, out of that number 1400 new ones, sorted out the new and then we had around 1400 address changes, the rest of them were non existent,” says Roberson.
Before the organization ACORN starting appearing in headlines for reported registration fraud, VIP caught the attention of Louisiana authorities over the summer. “They swamped all of us with a lot of applications but we haven’t had the problem since we aggressively started dealing with that group and I think they just picked up and left Louisiana,” says Roberson.
The Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office is investigating the group, Voting is Power. The Secretary of State won’t comment on the investigation, only to say all the findings will be turned over to the parish district attorneys in the parishes where the cards were turned in. The fear here in Caddo is: The damage has already been done “What I’m afraid of is a lot of people think they are registered, and that’s going to cause problems on election day,” says Roberson. That’s because many of the applications turned in, even with real names, were incomplete, a big headache resulting in thousands of man hours. “It costs money, democracy is very expensive whenever you have to sort through hundreds and even thousands of forms that are either duplicates or completely bogus that costs us time. Ultimately costing the taxpayer money.

Democratic officials said the Louisiana drive, which was called Voting is Power, had produced 74,000 applications by the time it concluded last week. Registrars in the four main parishes where the drive operated report numbers closer to 50,000, but there is no breakdown of how many were submitted to other parishes.
Registrars have reported that as many as a third of the applications cannot be entered into the system, and many of the rest require more information. The state Republican Party called the operation “the Dems’ phony registration drive.”

According to the article, nobody got on the voting rolls who should not have. This is registration fraud, not voter fraud.
McCain’s transition team head lobbied for Saddam Hussein (the guy from Iraq) in the years before the invasion. Two of his partners went to jail for doing that lobbying illegally. That’s sleaze you can believe in.
A guy at a Palin rally yelled “Kill him” about Obama today.
This is why ACORN’s activities raise a red flag: It’s not so much the worry that “Jive Turkey” is going to vote 70 times, as much as the likelihood that Mr. Turkey, Mr. “Shep,” Mr. “jkjkjkjkl” and Mr. “Mouse” are going to serve as a smoke screen for something else that’s much, much larger.
ACORN is but one front organization for the donkey party. As its credibility is already shot, ACORN is making the sacrifice fly so that somebody else can steal home plate.
ACORN fraud by any other name is still ACORN fraud …
So what is your point? Fraud is fraud ACORN needs to go.

What’s interesting to me is that everything that McCain / Palin does lately is being called out as “panic because they’re so far behind in the polls” by the democrats.
If this were true – then why all the voter fraud by those same democrats? One would think that with that much of a lead that it’s causing your enemy to panich you wouldn’t need to engage in systematic voter fraud to steal an election that you shouldn’t have any difficulty in cruising across the finish line.
Unless in your own private polls you’re so far behind – even with the help of the media in the tank for you – that voter fraud is the only way you can win.

Just WTF does this have with fraud on the part of the Democrat Party?
And the punchline is that this crap will go on until third-party vote-registration groups are banned, and people have to spend a couple of minutes downtown at City Hall and prove who they are to register, and then have to show up in person on election day and prove who they are in order to cast a ballot. It’s not exactly a hardship or an imposition.
Seems to me an honest election is a precious enough thing to pay that small price for.

I believe you have something here. Perhaps the liberal parsing of this being registration fraud and not “voter” fraud might be telling.
It would be a means to artificially inflate the voter rolls. Then, once the corrections are made (at the expense of the taxpayer), they can claim that Republicans were suppressing the vote by the margin of thousands.
Clearly, something is motivating this as it is not isolated. Even if what folks like lgm say is true and it’s only about the registration, there is still an underlying reason. Even if it is only to inflate their “success” numbers to get additional funding for the next election.

QA rules say that a single level (100%)of visual inspection will catch 63% of defects.
So…400% visual inspection still leaves 2% of “defects” in the sample.
What was the percentage difference between Bush and Kerry’s (he served in Vietnam you know) vote totals in Ohio in 2004?
What was the percentage difference between Bush and Gore’s (he invented the internet and has a zero carbon footprint) vote totals in Florida in 2000?

This has reached the point where the election itself should be delayed. The entire electoral role needs to be purged, and every citizen required to register anew if they wish to vote. Registrations should be carried out ONLY by government agencies, with multiple audit procedures followed to minimize registration fraud. Two forms of ID and a social security number should be supplied AND verified to register, and similarly on election day identification should be required to vote.
When some areas have more registrations then there are voters, other such as this example have up to 66% of registrations invalid or fraudulent, this is just too big to ignore, or to hold an election on, particularly when these are ALL being submitted by liberal pro-Obama groups. This is no less fraudulent than Mugabe’s Zimbabwe election scam, and those responsible should be charged with treason in attempting to illegally change the government.

To get back on topic this is nothing new for Northern Louisiana. We were stationed at Barksdale AFB, LA from Jun 1985 – Nov 1988 and never saw so much corruption at all levels of local government in the Shreveport area. I agree with other posters that despite party affiliation it is time to take out the trash at all levels of government. Too bad the Democrats are so good at it!

Use your brains LGM, if you have any; once these names are accepted onto the roles, then these liberals who put them there can go from electorate to electorate and vote again and again using the names enrolled – remember, ID is not required in most places, and as long as the name is there, they can vote. There’s your fraud. Happy now, or are you like a PC and need the facts punched into you?
So, is this change we can believe in? Or just the theft of our government by the Left? And what are we going to do about it? Will the RNC be prepared to go to court? It is getting to the point where you shoudl be required to show up in person to register to vote. If groups want to do reg. drives they should only be allowed to give out pamphlets with contact information of the Registrars offices in each city. Nothing more, nothing else.

Let me explain it to you. I have a friend who has been chugging the Obama Kool aid for months now. Today he posted a comment to twitter about “supposed ACORN fraud.”
The not so subtle message, of course, is that it’s all Republican propaganda intended to help them steal the election through the courts when McCain loses.

Photo ID-or two alternative IDs- has been required in Arizona for several election cycles now. When it passed all the usual suspects of the Left cried foul. What if you don’t have a drivers license? Poor people can’t afford it! A state issued ID is $12. Persons over the age of 65 and those who receive Federal Supplemental Security Income disability checks will have the fee waived. But still ACORN, La Raza and such whined. Shows what their real agenda is.
