I had to have my 13 year old dog down a while back and the vet showed more compassion for the dog’s suffering than LGM’s candidate shows babies who are in his words a “punishment.”

GAAAHHHH I’m getting so sick of even trying to talk to Obama-followers about Obama - they just do NOT want to hear anything bad about him, and immediately call me stupid or even racist a couple of times if I dare question anything or say anything not in his favor.
I’ve asked repeatedly why I should vote for Obama and nobody will answer, they just get angry at me for asking! They never refute anything I say about him, they just start telling me I’m wrong and then revert to abuse if I ask them why they think I’m wrong - every time! It’s the most bizarre thing; a real true cult.
It’s getting so scary I feel I can only talk about it behind closed doors in NYC because of the way people react. Obama has some hold over people’s minds like nothing I’ve ever come across before, except maybe once with a friend who got into an extreme branch of Assembly of God.
We really have much to worry about - like an escape route out of this country, because the way things look, we’re going to need it.
It’s interesting to note that if Palin was the dem. candidate for VP, these people would be heaping their praise on her, and defending her in every way they could. This would be the exact same Palin. It shows the hypocrisy of politics. It also shows that many of these people think not of the country, but of party. The question these so-called “experts” need to ask themselves is…what do I get, personally, out of my party’s win? The majority of the time, nothing more than a brief satisfaction. Once again, “useful idiots”. To support a party that thinks nothing of taking away their income (being rich as they are), shows lack of understanding of anything relevant. To drop their own basic core of beliefs, simply because an opposing candidate supports them, shows how much of an “useful idiot” they are. Blind followers.
If, by “theories about birth certificates”, you mean hopes and wishes, then I agree. A birth certificate can’t be interpreted or spun or wished or theorized a certain way. It simply is what it is. If, however, Sen. Obama’s birth certificate were to show that he is not a natural born citizen, he would be disqualified from taking office as POTUS. That’s not “ultimately irrelevant”. His birth certificate either shows this or it doesn’t.
Doesn’t some board of elections already have this somewhere? Shouldn’t it already be in the public domain like George Bush’s tax returns? Somebody somewhere should be able to produce this document and end the discussion. Sen. Obama can’t be the only person who has a copy of it. So where is it? And who’s got it? Even these questions are not “ultimately irrelevant”.

Obama winning based on such reckless hate will never have the full support of america. Even if he wins, he will become unpopular quickly.
I must be slow. I don’t know what that means - “still pending”. Why the filth hasn’t this been settled? By “still pending”, does it mean that Obama can be elected on 11/4 and on 11/5 we discover that he was ineligible? By “still pending”, does it mean that Obama can take the oath on 1/20/09 and on 1/21/09 we discover that he was ineligible? Does it mean that we can suffer 4 years (or 8 years) of an Obama presidency and the next day we discover that he was ineligible 2 years ago when his campaign first started? Why hasn’t this been settled? How did we get to today and this is “still pending”? Somebody’s got it. Where is it?

I came to this thread late and haven’t read all the comments yet, but what is this about? It is intriguing.
That’s exactly what I mean. If this story had any legs the leaders in the rightwing media would be running it. If the story really had legs, somebody from Obama’s past, would be pushing the issue of citizenship. I just see a bunch of wishing and hoping going on, and that to me is desperate and irrelevant. Like all of us, Obama has had to show his BC at different points in his life. If there was a story here, somebody would have brought it out.
It won’t happen. You are basically questioning if Obama is committing the “biggest” case of election fraud in the history of politics….anywhere. Your questions ask if is Obama exposing himself to felony charges and historical infamy. Nope, there is no issue here.
There’s nothing to settle.
Not even Limbaugh, Beck and Hannity are focusing on this issue, because it wreaks of desperation. The only discussion is on far rightwing blogs like this.
The Birth Certificate:
If I were Obama, I wouldn’t reveal “jack”, because it would amount to kissing the a$$ of the fringe right. I’d rather watch them flail around with the non-story. If this were an issue in the polls, or general public for him to concern himself over, he’d address it. Right now, even dignifying it would show a sign of worry and weakness.

O.K…SOME college students use drugs, MOST don’t. So that is false. Sarah Palin is an awesome mother…her daughter made a mistake and Sarah is standing by her with love. Angela Jolie is an independant thinker who espouses the best of all parties and will vote with logic and reason (McCain), Troopergate was a set-up, Obama refuses to let anyone see his transcripts, so how do we know he is telling the truth about his grades? Considering his propensity for lies, I think he is a lying creep. Jesse Jackson does not want Obama to win because all his rants about black victimhood would be tarnished. Obama was born in Kenya. If I have missed any other topics, let me know. Otherwise, let’s stop feeding the trolls. If we just lay back and let McCain win without all this bickering, the trolls will magically disappear. For now, they are jumping up on the screens, drooling, and trying to agitate. They know they are in trouble. Just let them rant without replying and they will get terribly frustrated and leave.

As I’ve already suggested, a copy of his birth certificate must be in the hands of some board of elections somewhere (in Illinois?). If it is, it can be found through FOI and that’s the end of the story. If it isn’t, that’s a huge problem and that’s where things get interesting.
Here is the ‘why’ people are for Obama.
Those that live off the Gov. Either they will have jobs working for the Gov. or get money as an organization from the Gov. in the form of grants. Students that think their student loans will be paid off once Obama gets in office. And those that never worked in their lives or have had jobs for a little while that thinks that the Gov. owes them a living. Women that think that abortion will not be so easy to obtain if Obama is not elected. Those are the ones a person will see or talk to that wants Obama to be elected.
Those issues are, unfortunately, hard to argue. This generation and the previous generation has been brought up to be a bit lazier than in the past. So much of that is the fault of the public school system and PC gone crazy. Any “fight” has been taken out of our citizens and replaced with “pacifism”, and lack of personal responsibility. Of course they want to be taken care of, rather than work for their own future. There are so many out there with that attitude, and it will only get worse unless the school system is revamped and brought back to the values that made this country great…study, learn, excel, oh, and we must bring back the old history books, the ones that actually say that America is a good, noble country!!!
Well, I can’t think of a reasonable reason why Obama won’t release his transcripts, LSAT scores, birth certificate, full medical records, text of his HLR contributions etc., etc.
Why would anyone hide something that they should be proud of, or is simply a part of the process? If, as MJ say, he must have shown them many times in the past, why the reticence now?
It just reeks a bit, that’s all. Probably a non issue, but one that should have been resolved to everyone’s satisfaction long ago.
Kind of like those promised military/medical records Kerry PROMISED to release long ago (to the late Tim Russert, no less).
