Liberal women still mobbing Sarah Palin and her family

By Michelle Malkin  •  October 14, 2008 06:28 PM

The hate-curdled Joy Behar and her colleagues on The View are still attacking Sarah Palin for having a family and career.

Still kvetching about “family values” and “double standards.”

Double standards?

Joy Behar, meet the Sisterhood of the Protected Female Liberal Journalists.

Go ahead, sweetie. You can call me a “selfish bitch” again.

It’s all you have.

Rage on.

Please pay attention. The so-called “abuse of power” by Gov. Palin was by “not stopping” her husband from advocating that a dangerous, rogue trooper be fired. This is really a stretch. The man wasn’t even fired, even though it sounds like he should have been. You need to get some new material.

    Also, he served time.

    From the report:

I find that Governor Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52 110(a)of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act. Alaska Statute 39.52 110(a) provides:

The legislature affirms that each public officer holds office as a public trust, and any effort to benefit a personal or financial interest through official action is a violation of that trust.

Well then you clearly wont be voting Obama then, since he is a product of polygamy, his father was too irresponsible to stick around, and his mother dumped him on the grandparents – surely, using your bitter ‘logic’, Obama being a product of such an environment is totally incapable of running a grocery store let alone a country!

This is just silly. I know you buy into everything the right wing propaganda machine tells you, but surely even you doubt such an absurd assertion. It’s just silly.

And for the record, I find Saddam Hussein (and his associates — especially those that actively found employment under him) pretty scary. And I find it weird that you, apparently, do not.

Angelina Jolie? Liberal? I’m not sooooo sure about that.

Not that it matters terribly; I was merely trying to make a point about how silly it is to state that political opinions define definitions of beauty. But I’d say Brad Pitt’s overtly bleeding heart tendencies, coupled with Jolie’s recent quote (below) are probably a clue, despite how cagey she’s been about endorsing a particular candidate (especially since she hasn’t praised McCain so effusively). She’s also made several “anti”-Bush statements, but there’s no reason to enumerate them here.

Obama is fighting for international justice, he wants to intervene militarily in genocides abroad, and he wants to close down Guantanamo Bay. They are things which could move me to vote for him, not his roots. Of course, an American president like Barack Obama would be great for my family.

Second, she was acused of an abuse of power for failing to stop her husband from inquiring about the case which the commissioner (who she legally and ethically fired for insubordination) refused to move on.

Meanwhile, this Trooper was threatening to KILL Palins father, tased his step son, was drinking and driving, filing false workers comp claims and telling people that nothing would happen to him because he wore a “badge”… And who was abusing authority?

Wooton was threatening peoples lives and the Safety commisioner two years later still didnt even know what Whooton looked like. He sent a picture for Palin to personally autograph in May 2008 for an event, and when questioned why he sent it, he said didnt know it was Whooton.

The same man he kept telling Mr. Palin he was “investigating” and taking care of the case. 2 + years later and he didnt know what the guy looked like.

    What a freakin joke?

So, what now? Palin’s family doesnt get to call up when someone is not doing their job while their family members are in danger just because they are related to the Gov?

This nut Wooton was being paid disability and workers compensation while he threatened to kill another human being. This went on for 2+ years?

Let me ask you this TOS. If this was your family, what would you have been doing? I would imagine, calling continually and asking why Whooton is still a Trooper, right?

This is absurd. Abuse of power my tuchis.

Obama had no influence on his father’s behavior before he was born. Sarah Palin raised her daughter. Her daughter’s values are the principles Sarah Palin taught her. Sarah Palin obviously wasn’t so good at the morals thing, like she’s not that good at telling the truth or following the law (the toopergate report stated that Palin broke ethics laws).

Remind me again why we should for one second believe liberals care about “family values”?

Their definition of “family” is anything and everything but a married, heterosexual couple with more than 1 child. Traditional families are – to them – a thing to be held in contempt and destroyed.

Can we assume you don’t have children? And even if this is so, then Obama’s mother “wasn’t so good at the morals thing” since he was a druggie layabout for several years at Palin’s daughter’s age. Throw in Grannie too since Obama was being raised by her.

LGM are you really a mathematics teacher? That would suggest at least a basic fundamental level of logic, but you seem to be missing even that much. Obama was bought up in that environment, therefore his example to learn from was one of irresponsibility, disloyalty, and no moral standards or compassion.

Sarah Palin on the other hand is a devout Christian with very high standards, HOWEVER here’s what you failed to realize:

Obama is a 47 year old man that you think is capable of running the USA, yet you are comparing his decision making abilities to a young naive 16 year old small-town girl.

Well done, LGM, you have outdone yourself – yes Obama really is that bad.

    What power did she abuse?

    From the report:

I find that Governor Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52 110(a)of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act. Alaska Statute 39.52 110(a) provides:

The legislature affirms that each public officer holds office as a public trust, and any effort to benefit a personal or financial interest through official action is a violation of that trust.

You know full well that If Governor Palin and her husband had said nothing about Officer Wooten, the report would still have found her guilty of abuse of power. They would have claimed that she violated the public trust by covering up for her rogue cop brother-in-law to avoid political embarassment and protect her sister.

There is no way for her to win in such a witch trial. If she survives the dunking, she’s guilty. But if she drowns (resigns), she’s innocent, but her political career is over. Anyone who thinks this was a fair process is a political hack.

She not only had the right, but the duty to protect the safety of the public by bringing his illegal acts to the attention of his boss. The fact that Officer Wooten still has his job, even after his boss was replaced, is the strongest evidence that the Governor did not abuse her power.

Aren’t you describing Obama? LGM…Troopergate is a major eye-roller compared to Obama, ACORN, FAnnie/Freddie Mac. Wooten And Monagren would have been fired and cashiered under any other circumstance except that this “board” is a kangaroo court like the 9/11/Iraq War “inquiries” had Jamie Gorelick & such as a commisioner…

The nice thing is no one is taking it seriously which is as it should be.

Jerk. Having morals doesn’t make you perfect – but it means you try. Show me any family where kids don’t screw up. They do – even in liberal families. Who knows…one of Obama’s daughters could become a pro-life conservative! Will you criticize the Obamas, then, for not teaching her proper liberal standards?

Which can’t be said for liberals. They don’t have morals in the first place because “relative morals” is codespeak for “no morals”…

Regarding the Independent registered Angelina Jolie:

In her op-ed in the Washington Post earlier this year titled “Staying to Help in Iraq,” Jolie argued that the U.S. should step up financial and material assistance to Iraq, not withdraw from the region.

So the first candidate with what she calls a “comprehensive refugee plan with a specific timeline and budget as part of their Iraq strategy,” will be the one to earn Jolie’s vote.

So you think she will vote with “cut and run” Obama? Or will she with McCain?
