Reason #99,999,988 to homeschool: Obama-fied textbooks

By Michelle Malkin  •  October 14, 2008 11:54 AM

15 pages devoted to The One in a kids’ textbook used in the Racine, WI schools.

Will they be required to learn the goose steps and children’s anthem, too?

I highly recommend the book “48 Liberal Lies about American History”. It is very good……

I greatly protested the books and curriculum in my public school last year before pulling my kids and homeschooling them instead of allowing any indoctrination to happen.

And for ilovemycountry – there are all kinds of people homeschooling their kids. I find your remark about “hillbillies” to be rather judgemental and condescending. I am sure that if you are a Democrat, this cannot be because we all know Democrats are the most non judgemental people around! (ha ha ha ! yeah right!)

Ilovemyountry does indeed love his country. The only problem for him is that conservatives like us infest his country.

We lower life forms are a virus. We thus, do not deserve to have a place in his country, much less be allowed to spread our vermin within it. Our values are hateful and our thoughts impure. We do not embrace the Unity of the Good.

His is a country of love, diversity, and tolerance. Anyone not sharing those views deserves to be crushed and ruthlessly silenced.

I pledge allegiance, to Our Dear Leader, Barack Obama, our chosen Messiah, and to the cause for which he stands. One Nation Global Community, forever bound, to Universal Socalism. With communism and comradship for all.

Might as well pledge the whole bananna to Our Dear Leader.

Uh, maybe I am missing something but I don’t see a huge similarity between the two logos…

The W.U. “rainbow” stripes are mimiced in the red and white stripes of the Obama logo. Coincidence? Maybe. But if William Ayers was the ghostwriter for Obama’s books and designed the weather underground logo, then he could have also had input into the Obama logo.

Not a smoking gun, for sure, but definitely an eyebrow raiser for me.

Is there something wrong about learning about Dear Leader? Are we just 22 days away from kissing our freedom goodbye because too many people in this country are intentionally blind to the socialism that BHO represents — and they’d rather have socialized medicine, welfare hand-outs galore, and mandatory indoctrination of the young? Come on, folks! Wake up out there.

We have allowed the NEA to dictate our children’s education for years when anyone with a brain knew they were a communist front organization.

The Communists said they would take our country from within and it is happening right before our eyes.

IMHO-There is nothing in our Constitution that allows for the Federal Government to dictate educational guidelines or the founding of the Department of Education.

We need to privatize the schools, ASAP, and get back to the basics teaching the 3 R’s.

    Hi guys:

Sorry I didn’t respond earlier–away from the comp.
With regards to my post, I did cover the Gettysburg Address in school. Along with with other great speeches throughout history, as a section of an English course.
Granted, I did go to parochial school for high school, but let’s be honest–the Jesuits are just as liberal as the public schools. I don’t think its a stretch to assume that some public schools would also teach speeches in an English class. If indeed they do, then I see no problem with including a speech by Obama.
That being said, if this speech is the only one they taught, then there is indeed something wrong. I’m just saying we shouldn’t rush to judgment based on the words of one parent.

Nah, not Mount Rushmore. There wouldn’t be enough rock to carve out those huge freakin’ ears.

(Actually, I never paid much attention to The One’s ears, until I heard that it hurts his wittle feewings when people say that they’re big. After the election is over, win or lose, he’ll probably close himself off in a room somewhere and have a big cry.)

A more likely attempt to pay tribute to himself will be naming the city on the Potomac “Obamagrad, D.C.”
