Report: Credit card fraud for Obama
Dead people. Fake people. Cartoon characters.
Now, it looks like Obama supporters are going after unsuspecting credit card fraud victims, too. Better check your Visa and Amex bills twice:
A North Kansas City couple has been left scratching their heads after they became the victims of a political scam.
Steve and Rachel Larman say a strange credit card charge appeared on their statement this month — a $2300 donation to Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. The Larman’s say they don’t want this to be about their political affiliation, but they say they’re not about to give the Obama campaign any help from their pocketbook.
They said they notified Chase, their credit card bank, to report the fraud.
“(They) said that they had seen-they were familiar with this,” said Steve Larman. “It was fraud, they believe through telemarketing but they were going to be doing some more investigations.”
The Larman’s don’t want their politics to enter into what is essentially just a fraudulent charge. But they say that the charge involves the Obama campaign adds insult to injury for the registered Republicans.
“They (Chase) kept on asking me ‘are you sure you wouldnt have gone to a site in support of Obama’,” said Rachel Larman. “And I repeatedly said ‘Im voting for McCain – I would not be going to an Obama site’.”
Chase dropped the charge from the Larman’s card. The couple is thankful thay they caught the charge on the card, but worried that others may not see that type of fraud on their own credit cards before it’s too late.

Wow! I’d really like to see an update on this case. I’ll keep an even closer eye on my cc statements.
Change…whether you like it or not.
or
$2300.00…it’s only Change!
Thats not the chase credit card I knew.
They are already stealing our money! Socialism can’t come any quicker for Obama and his drones.
Fortunately, I keep a record of purchases on my Quicken and compare statements with it, as well as keep receipts. If something like that showed up, I would defintely stop the charge as well as looking into filing some sort of criminal charges. Let them see that “charge” on their own statements.
I guess thats two thinks in his campaign thats fraudulent.
Think of it as a down payment on the taxes you will be paying.
if this is a widespread problem, you just know there’s some Obama supporters out there who won’t mind that someone is committing credit card fraud against them in the name of The Annointed One.
How long before some nutroot declares that complaining about credit card fraud is now RAAAAACIIIIIST!!!
I’m all for this new policy! Their money is MY money and my debt is the governments debt. win-win!
Another reason to carefully inspect my credit card statement every month, of course the MSM will be all over this story in 1, 2, 3……
Not only do we have to worry about a stolen election this year we now have worry about stolen identities and fraudulent charges on our credit cards too.
Welcome to the United Socialist States of America! We’re boned!
Thats not the messiah I knew! or is it?
In the wake of $850 BILLION, $2,300 is “Change”.
Thanks Obama!
I don’t know if you have heard about this yet, but it is a scream. Sal from the Howard Stern show interviewed Obama supporters in Harlem.
“Sal substituted McCain’s views for Obama’s but Obama’s supporters didn’t know the difference. Yikes!”
Hear it for yourself.
Warning: foul language.

Just one more reason to have a credit monitoring service like lifelock (I already notified them that any charges from either my wife or I to any Democratic candidate would be a fraud charge). We also go through a company called reputation defenders that removes you from most mailing lists and public records.
my bad I thought it was reputation defenders, but it isn’t (that one removes you from bogus internet listings).
Who knew he was so confident in victory that he’d start raising taxes already?
If Chase kept asking me that, I’d close my acccounts . Maybe I will anyway….
Just hope Chase gets their money back too.
This is not credit card fraud…. it is simply wealth redistribution, paid in monthly installments.
Welcome to Amerika. Have a nice day.
Ok, the bank dropped the charge from their bill….
Did some Obama supporter in the bank the bank decide not to get the money back from Obama? Or perhaps gave Obama the nod to pay it back in a couple months.
Will Obama figure out, hey here’s a clean $2300 name to launder some oney thru? It’s not like anyone is likely to check…
$2300–two hundred dollars below the threshold for flagging. Donate $2500 and you are listed on a public database/
Clever people these Obaminites, clever indeed. Of course only we racist would mention it. A thorny bush from a tiny ACORN grows.

ALCOHOL, TOBACCO AND FIREARMS
Should be a convenience store
NOT a Government Agency
Actually, $2300 is the maximum amount that any individual can contribute to any campaign. Any contribution over $200 (IIRC) has to be publicly disclosed.
But the campaigns have to keep tallies of the lesser amounts, in order to ensure that donors don’t exceed the $2,300 limit over the course of the campaign.
What were his words, “wealth is better when you spread it around”? Looks like he’s starting to spread it to himself.
Fraud we can believe in.
Did the $2,300 charge show up with a description of “Reparations”?

Voter fraud, now credit card fraud. Are there NO depths to which they’ll sink in order to win?
Surely there’s a way to tie this to BHO.
Racism, clear and simple.
/sarc
Even BHO’s birth certificate is fraudulent.
This happened to a friend of mine’s dad last week – exact same $2300 charge. The FBI is supposed to interview him tomorrow.
Here’s the scam. It’s happened to me for three times. Though nonoe yet for Obama donations.
You use your card at a gas stations or convenience store. The attendant slyly takes a scan of both sides of the card, or uses a point of sale device that also records all your card info for later retrieval.
At some point, the collector shows up and immediately, starts charging on your card. Sometimes, they will produce an actually credit card with your number on it, but someone else’s name.
These are well organized crime rackets. Is anyone surprised they are linked to Obama?
Sometimes your bank will call you, as ours did in each case. But always check your statements, each and every month. And if you stop at an unfamiliar gas station, try to use cash, not your debit card.
not to worry, they will, don’t forget the $700 billion bail out.
This is amazing.
I guess socialism is coming early.
Next they’ll tell us it’s “patriotic.”
If this is true, then it ought to be game over.
Hopeychargey?
Nice… a pre-emptive attempt to “spread the wealth,” no doubt…
This is why I don’t use credit cards.
Shouldn’t this have been checked out by somebody’s board of elections? If not, why not? Doesn’t anybody do their job anymore?
This may be redundant, haven’t had time to read previous posts, but has there been a demand to the Obama campaign to explain the “contribution” . . . and is Obama keeping the money? If there is one couple who got ripped off by Team Obama supporters, how many of the millions of dollars Obama has collected are the result of similar credit card fraud. For that matter, if it is wide spread, is there possibly cyber criminal activity involved? Perhaps a great McCain TV ad would in the form of a credit fraud alert. Urge people to check their credit card bills closely for any unauthorized contributions to the Obama campaign. If there are any, it might be a mistake. Har.
And all McCain has to do is tick each “Obama Gate” off on his fingers during the next debate. . . if he will. Any one of these would sink any other candidate. And just to think, Dan Quail’s career was ruined because he mis-spelled potato.
Let’s see now . . .
- Credit card fraud
- Voter registration fraud (ACORN)
- Education fraud (Ayers)
- Foreign policy obstruction (Delay in Iraq policy progress until after the election.)
- Foreign policy insanity – (Kenya’s Odinga)
- More shady foreign influences (al-Mansour)
- More shady foreign associations (Rashid Kahlidi)
- Obama/ACORN subprime-loan shakedown racket (root cause of the current economic melt-down)
- Fraudulent use of the race card.
- Voter intimidation.
- You could probably throw in lying, obstruction of justice, slander, and a few other catch-alls.
I wonder why we conservatives haven’t bothered to coin more “*gates”? (”OCORN Gate”, “Ayers Gate”, “Odinga Gate”, “al-Mansour Gate”, Rashid Kahlidi Gate)
This man should NOT be president, and whether McCain likes it or not, he has the moral obligation to warn the American public.
Redistribution of wealth is nothing new for Democrats. They have been doing that for a long time with welfare, earned income credits, and governments grants to partisan groups like ACORN.
The only difference now is that they are cutting out the middle men and taking it directly from our bank accounts. I guess the old fashioned way – taxpayer income to IRS to Congress to Democrat support groups – has become too slow and inefficient.
I just wish we could get big government Republicans like McCain and Bush to recognize the same thing. Smaller government is better because it reduces the middle men who take an ever-increasing piece of the pie but produce nothing of value themselves. That would be change I could believe in…
One thing I can say about Chase being a former Cardservices employee – they do take their customer service very seriously. I’m glad they removed that charge very quickly.
I blame ACORN.
I remember when a Hillary supporter’s credit card donation was “bumped” to the max amount without her permission. I believe she sued, or was planning to sue. This really takes the cake. How on earth did this happen?
this certainly helps explain how obama is getting these huge bucks to run the thug thizzle campaign.
The Obama people are just plain crooks and God help this country if he gets in.
I don’t see how any of this helps Michelle’s kids.I now see how this scheme helps Michelle’s kids.
