Update: Deranged anti-Palin prof cleared

Terrific. The profanity-spewing, nutball professor at Metro State in Denver who required students to write essays bashing Sarah Palin has been cleared of wrongdoing. (Flashback: Meet Colorado’s new Ward Churchill wanna-be.)

Instead, the college has recommended “appropriate mentoring.”

Seriously:

A special investigation of part-time Metropolitan State College instructor Andrew Hallam has determined that he had not violated any college policies in assigning an essay on Republican vice president nominee Sarah Palin to one of his English classes.

“The investigation concluded that Hallam must learn to curb the use of vulgar language in class, and that the introduction of controversal topics must have a substantial relationship with the subject of the class,” according to a news bulletin released by the college Tuesday.

“While discipline is not warranted, appropriate mentoring is recommended.”

The findings of the investigation was announced by Metro State College president Stephen Jordan on Tuesday.

Hallam, 36, will be assigned a faculty member to serve as his mentor for the rest of this semester, according to Cathy Lucas, spokeswoman for the college. He could not be reached for comment Tuesday.

Lucas said the college will also add an all-day session on how to maintain political balance in classes to orientations given to part-time as well as tenure track faculty members.

Hallam, who started teaching at Metro State College this semester, came under fire in September, after he gave a controversial assignment to one of his English classes.

He allegedly told them to write an essay that would contradict “the fairy tale image of Palin” as presented at the Republican National Convention.

    If he learns his lesson, then the college has dealt with the problem without “Killing a spider with a meat-axe.” If he doesn’t learn, then it’ll be time for the college to take further action.

    As usual, the lies are spewing all over the place. According to an Anchorage Daily news on October 1, 2008, Palin’s approval rating was 68%. Please tell me what other governor in this country enjoys that kind of approval rating? Maybe Governor Bobby Jindal, but I haven’t checked. That is hardly a plunging approval rating.

The revolutionaries won the Revolutionary War, will fly, but saying the ‘colonists won the war’ is like saying that ‘the liberals brought down Saddam Hussein.’ – there’s a potential for accuracy there, but don’t count on it.

    Let’s look at lgm’s statement “Neal Armstrong went to the moon.” this is known as “Accuracy by accident”. Of course Neal Armstrong went to the moon, then again so did James Lovell, in fact Commander Lovell went to the moon twice. The main difference is that Neal Armstrong landed on the moon, explored its surface, collected scientific data, and safely returned to Earth with that data intact.

    So why didn’t lgm say “Neal Armstrong landed on the moon”? Lets keep in mind that the subspecies Homo Foilus Hattus aka ‘Conspiracy Monger’ is genetically very very close to the liberal subspecies, and like many social scientists I believe it’s physically impossible for the Conspiracy Monger to admit that Neil Armstrong landed on the moon. Saying “Neil Armstrong went to the moon” puts the efforts of Neil Armstrong and thousands of American scientists and workers in the same boat as Russian workers who simply splattered a few pounds of pigiron into the surface of the moon (Luna 7) and called the mission successful.

    We call lgm’s statement “Sarah Palin is not fit to be president” “Truth by imagination.” The speaker, lgm, wishes it to be so, and wishes so much for it to be true, that in the world she’s constructed for herself it is true, all evidence to the contrary. The speaker, lgm, has completely ignored the fact that Sarah Palin isn’t running for president. Setting that aside, lgm has completely ignored the fact that Sarah Palin is actually more politically ready to lead the country than Joe Biden, Barak Hussein Obama, and John McCain combined. None of them have any leadership experience what so ever, while Governor Palin is the Governor of the largest state in the union and the only civilian Commander In Chief of a full time military unit other than the sitting president (The Alaskan National Guard is a full time unit) In addition Governor Palin has shown much more abilities in international relations than John Kerry, Al Gore, Michael Dukakis, and Jimmy Carter combined. What she doesn’t have is a penis, and for that the liberal left is crucifying her with lies, distortions, and anything that comes to mind other than the truth.

    As for lgm’s final statement “We hold these truths to be true” this is a misquote of a line written by Thomas Jefferson; We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. Sit back and read this simple document sometime lgm, I’m positive you will be educated.

    And no, I’m not going to tell anybody what this document is, because if you don’t know, you don’t belong on this board. People like myself who dedicated my life to its principals, and people like Michelle’s parents who risked it all for the concepts of this document hold it the second most important document on earth.

    Of course lgm misquoted that line, it was written by Thomas Jefferson, and if Thomas Jefferson could see what has happened to his party, and how they were treating an elected Governor of a state, for once in their lives he would insure that the liberal democrats of this generation would experience ‘shame’ – an alien concept to them.
