BANGOR, Me. — Speaking before a crowd of a few thousand supporters in an airport hangar, GOP vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin continued to question Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama’s patriotism and commitment to fair elections.Palin largely stuck to her stump speech during her appearance here in the conservative-leaning Second District of Maine, whose single electoral vote the McCain campaign is hoping to secure. But she also attacked Obama for his ties to ACORN with new intensity, saying, “In this election, it’s a choice between a candidate who won’t disavow a group committing voter fraud, and a leader who won’t tolerate voter fraud.”
The Alaska governor — who said that, when it comes to the GOP ticket, “We believe that America is not the problem, America is the solution” — said Obama has shown no desire for victory despite the fact that he spoke so frequently about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“It sure would be nice if, just once, Barack Obama said he wants America to win,” she said, as the crowd cheered.
“We are always proud to be Americans, and we don’t apologize for being Americans,” Palin added later.
Oh, yes. She’s “otherizing” again.

There’s one thing I think the MDS-sufferers around here should think about:
Palin can slam Osama Obama to her heart’s content, and it sounds good. But she doesn’t have to do it in front of Obama, and he doesn’t have to respond except in a general way. If he responds at all.
Her accusations wouldn’t come across nearly as well — though they would be equally valid — if she had to make them in a debate, where smooth liar Obama and the debate “moderator” can weasel out of it and change the subject, respectively.
You won’t give McCain credit for trying to bring up issues in the pressure cooker of a debate, but praise Palin to the skies for mentioning them in relatively easy fora.
Wake up! McCain is running for president, not Palin, and his defeat will bring disaster to our nation.
It’s funny how I saw Biden doing a lot of post-debate interviews on the tube, but I didn’t see Palin. In fact, she actually declined post-debate interview offers from some networks. Why is she so afraid of unscripted interviews?
What are you talking about? She has done several interviews since then. But with the blatant hate and bias of the MSM against her I don’t blame her for not talking to them. They just play “gotcha” and don’t actualy interview her.

And who isn’t giving credit to McCain? Other than the Fox All-star panel, we all thought (including some surprising MSM types) McCain handed Obama is a$$.
Missed opportunities: When Obama brought up education yesterday, McCain should have tore into him over Obama’s Annenberg days when he spent millions with Ayers and the project was a failure. No benefit to schools or students. That is Obama’s education legacy and I wish McCain could have discussed it. Frankly McCain doesn’t appear to know Obama all that well and not knowing your opponent is not a path to victory.
I will vote for McCain/Palin on Nov. 4 no matter what. Our Republic can not last anytime having bho and congress cratering our country.

I went to the web site you provided the link for and saw the t-shirt they’re selling. Since they asked for suggestions for other shirts, I sent them a couple involving Obama. Something tells me they WON’T be printing or selling either of my ideas, but hey, they could get rich.

Whatever happens on Nov. 4th, she has already done America a world of good.
It’s not just on this issue, Acorn, it is any number of others. Plainly, Obama will not take a firm stand on anything. He must equivocate, and seem to change his stance, when, in actuality he changes nothing but the words he uses.
He talks about Acorn, but doesn’t promote or condemn it.
He talks about Ayers, but not about his actual dealings with him. He then says he has “already answered the questions” when clearly, he has not.
He says he’s for America, then proceeds to tear it down.
He says he’s for change, but the only change he seems capable of is his wording.
He calls McCain’s ads negative, but his campaign is the one that constantly brings in allegations of racism, and class warfare.
He has the tumerity to talk about how “the middle class” is suffering, and falling behind; wages are going down; economy sucks; then says that the middle class is unable to get new car loans, or new mortgages because money is tight. WTF? If the middle class is suffering, and has no money to pay bills or buy necessities, how in the world does he think they can afford to buy a new car, or a house?
Obama is a typical bamboozler, whose rhetoric can persuade those of lesser intelligence…the undereducated, handout grabbing, something for nothing, me, me, me Democratic base.
Man, she is just awesome. The fact that she is so reviled by the left and the wimps on the right just underscores how great of a candidate she is. If McCain loses, someone needs to start the “Draft Palin 2012″ movement the very next day.

Because she’s an executive; the buck stops with her. McCain has been one vote in a hundred for decades. Legislators must be collegial or risk not getting support from other senators for an important issue.
Just watched the entire debate again, and I simply have to unleash this very “profound” observation: Obama’s ears really bothered me when the camera was on him. I could not focus on what he was saying; the Mickey Mouse ears were distracting to say the least.
More seriously, I am glad that Gov. Sarah Palin has criticized B. Hussein Obama’s ties with ACORN and his continuing silence on the group’s dishonest activities. If the questionable voter registrations perpetrated by ACORN are not sorted out in a satisfactory manner, and if the dead and the likes of Mickey Mouse (with the distracting ears!) are perceived to be able to cast a vote for BO — and he wins, God forbid — how could the sane electorate regard his election as truly the people’s will?

I love the notion that all the Republicans have to do is go seriously negative, and the country will all of a sudden turn on the ten-point favorite. Everyone knows about Rev. Wright, everyone has seen the video, and if he didn’t do Obama in, nothing will.
The McCain ticket knows that attacking Obama on issues no one cares about is too risky, and that’s why they waited until they were hopelessly down in the polls and they had no choice.
There are good arguments to make why an all Democrat Washington would be bad for the economy, but by snipping on “character” issues, people feel like they are being distracted from the bottom line and that there’s a reason McCain doesn’t want to talk about the economy.
Before or after the Democratic process is totally subverted, and our Representative government has no reps honestly elected?

MrScribbler, he did get a bunch of credit. But he missed some opportunities to attack Obama on certain points. We’re not saying that is an easy thing to do. It just wan’t always done.
That said, I think he could have done more, but to expect him to hit 100% of the points we want raised is probably too much to ask.
And consider this. Biden and Obama come off pretty well in a debate… because they find it easy to lie.
Think about it. Sarah Palin is trying to speak the truth and make her points, as is McCain, in the context of a debate. They make great cases for tossing either of those two dopes to the curb. Then the response by either Obama or Biden is a bold face lie. One that, unless you dug deeply to know the details, isn’t going to be challenged in the debate. At least not all of them.

It’s frustrating when you are trying to be truthful and honest in an argument and your oponent has not problem telling blatent lies. Which is what Obama and Biden have done in the debates.

Well, about this time in 2000, Rasmussen had Bush with a 4 point lead. And in 2004 according to RCP,polls from the 14th to the 17th of October has a range of tie to Bush +5, so forgive me if I am a bit more optimistic this time around.
