Spitzer licenses and voter fraud
You remember the illegal alien driver’s licenses championed by disgraced former NY Gov. Eliot Spitzer, right?
The ones that tripped up Hillary Clinton?
Well, some vigiliant GOP lawmakers in NY remember them, too. And they’re trying to make sure they don’t wreak havoc on election results next month. Officials held a hearing today on thousands of licenses issued to non-citizens under illegal alien-friendly Spitzer’s tenure:
With Election Day right around the corner, the Republicans are bringing back an issue that brought them national media attention: Former Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s long-dead plan to let illegal immigrants get driver’s licenses.
Assemblyman Greg Ball, an outspoken Hudson Valley Republican (particularly when it comes to all things immigration-related) who won a bitter GOP primary battle last month, and Rensselaer County Clerk Frank Merola, who sued over Spitzer’s license plan, are holding a public hearing in Manhattan Thursday on “massive voter fraud potential” caused by the issuance of 23,000 licenses to non-citizens during the former governor’s tenure.
From the press release announcing the hearing, which will be held at the Metropolitan Club:
“Section 5 of the Federal Motor Voter Act requires New York to provide individuals with the opportunity to register to vote at the same time that they apply for a driver’s license or seek to renew a driver’s license.
By law, none of these 23,000 foreign visitors are eligible to vote, yet now many are registered because they hold Spitzer licenses. A public hearing will be conducted on October 16th in Manhattan to assess what can be done at the local, state, and Federal level to secure these 23,000 licenses and scrub the voter rolls of ineligible voters.”
They’re not the only ones who should be investigating.

Remember how Barrack BRAGGED about working for Motor Voter in last nites debate! Motor Voter and Early Voting are both doors wide-open to fraudsters.
Voter fraud is what the Shall Issue driver’s licenses and motor voter was all about. There are fools who don’t think so–but as I said–they are fools.

About 45,000 licenses have been issued to people without a Social Security number. That’s about 3.6 percent of all the licensed drivers in New Mexico. Ortiz assumes most of the 45,000 are foreign nationals, but the state doesn’t know how many are illegal immigrants because immigration status information isn’t collected by MVD

Here’s how bad Motor Voter can be. I work for a big city welfare department. We are required to offer voter registration forms to ALL applicants for welfare; EVEN WHEN THEY HAVE JUST TOLD US THEY ARE ILLEGALLY IN THE COUNTRY.
We are told by our city government that the Elections Dept will verify citizenship. The Elections Dept tells ME that they do no such thing.
Just last week we got a letter from the state telling us that they are now going to make us keep stats on all clients that do NOT register to vote. We will be required to document why they didn’t register. If they decline to register, we have a form they must sign. If they are illegal aliens, we MUST offer a voter registration and we must forward it, WITHOUT COMMENT, to the Elections Department.
This is Obamism in action.
CAIR’s Congressman has introduced a bill to ban Photo ID in all federal elections. The next step is same day registration and voting by mail.
Within ten years this country will be run by a thuggish cabal of radical Leftists who will prosecute anyone who will not toe the politically correct line.
We’d better do a LOT of complaining while we still can without being jailed.

I certainly hope that NY will be able to eliminate the illegal immigrants and any others who registered unlawfully to vote! The man power needed do that will be enormous! Election Boards are severely short-staffed for such critical and tedious work, but I am certain they will put forth every effort to correct the records and insure the integrity of the process. Most citizens are NOT aware of the year-round work of Elections Boards who, also, depend on local volunteers to man the Polls to insure the rights of the American citizens to VOTE! I know from personal experience!
As a Supervisor for the County Elections Board, I am deeply disturbed by the massive “voter registration fraud” that has caused havoc across the Nation. In the Debate 10/15/08, Obama dismissed the concerns by characterizing the “mis-deeds” as being carried out by a “few” mis-guided ACORN workers. The “voter registration fraud” by ACORN has been going on for years! It is wide-spread across American cities and involves massive numbers of illegal forms submitted by ACORN in particular! Citizens should demand harsh penalties for such activities. It is most frustrating, but the battle is necessary and worth fighting! Get involved!
Elections Board Staffers this year have already started to work 24/7 to insure that everyone who “HAS the right to vote GETS that right to vote!
Obama’s dismissal and defense of ACORN’s activities are absolutely revealing of another major flaw in his character and his lack of credibility!

23,000 out of 23,000,000. In a close race like this, that could mean victory for the wrong side. Florida in 2000 was won by less than 500.
This is one reason Idaho just passed a law to make it illegal to issue a driver’s license to an illegal invader by requiring anyone to prove citizenship to get a license in the state. We have too many people of questionable citizenship with California, Oregon, and Washington driver’s licenses trying to get a license here. Another reason to love living in the middle of nowhere Idaho.

Brooklyn I sent in many stories of ACORN to Michelle Malkin and the RNC as proof that this mess was coming. I got ignored by the RNC and Michelle was kind enough to credit me for many stories.
Again it doesnt matter if they DO catch the fraud the problem is still going to be that there are more than enough new democratic voters to offset those lost via fraud charges.
The GOP should have set aside millions of dollars to train and recruit poll watchers who would know what to look for and places they need to be. Sending out emails at the last minute to untrained people who wont know what to look for is far too late in the game.
I can only hope the RNC gets its act together and starts taking elections seriously. I dont want ACORN or Obama to win but having the RNC put that burden on me who has little resources and others is really a bad idea.
I’m not a NY hater. I was born and raised there, and was up there visiting this summer. I only hate what the left has done to the place.
BTW key point. The BEST way to catch the voter fraud wont be at the polls. LEt the frauds vote making them do the illegal act.
THEN the RNC should HIRE thousands of voter checkers to cross reference voters and other IDs and addresss and hunt down the fraudsters POST election.
LEt the fraud go forward THEN bust Barack Milhouse Obama for his dirty tricks.

While Michelle likely remembers it, let me remind all here of how insidious was Spitzer’s willful disregard (from John Fund’s November 2, 2007 commentary, in the Wall Street Journal):
Get it? Spitzer ordered the computer block removed that automatically rejected an application to register to vote in NY state without a Social Security number. His stated motivation (for his plan) that allowing illegals to get licenses so that they could obtain car insurance was pure a lie; Spitzer willfully facilitated voter fraud.
And I dont get the hostility towards me. I went the the RNC in 1992 to warn them that their GOTV efforts were terrible. FOr the past two years I have been sending them stories aboutACORN and other groups and their activities.
This past spring I went to over 50 GOP campaigns and offered to help set up a GOTV effort to help them win and prevent the comming groundswell that I saw happening. NOT ONE took me up on the offer.
Now at the 11th hour just before the elections the same RNC that completely ignore me for over 2 years is asking me now to sacrific and bail them out at the polls.
This mess isnt my fault its the RNCs.

Yes, the Madame Hostess is kind. And your vigilance is most commendable, & true the RNC can be most despicable… but is this about you, or defending the nation. Defending the polls is an honor, I wish they had asked me.
Spitzer may have been pushed out for “other reasons,” but had he remained, other scandals would have caught up with him. It turns out that when he was attorney general, all of his victories were through plea deals. Everyone who stood up to him in court has won and now many are suing. Mike Nifong had nothing on him.

BTW I did send info to my local GOP about ACORN and I told them they needed to start training people how to look out for vater fraud. I even offered to help train them on what to look for.
They turned down my request for that only thing I was offered was to go to my loca polling stating and watch for them.
I will be running the polling location in my precinct. I am precinct chair and election judge.
Election Info 101: To everyone who wants to insure the integrity of the Nov Election: Call the Elections Board for your city or county and volunteer to be a Poll Worker NOW.
You will be properly trained and paid for your service. I know. That is my job as an Elections Board Supervisor.
When the DNC or RNC calls their registered supporters, they are seeking “election observers” for a few hours of their time to be assigned to polls in the precincts. Poll workers are always notified if “Observers” are being sent. It is another way of insuring that voters and Poll Workers are following the procedures!
If you cannot spend 12 hours on Election Day at the Polls, then volunteer to be a Party Observer for a few hours to observe the process. Regardless of party affiliation, civic-minded citizens have a great opportunity to participate in an “historic event” in November!
With so few days and training sessions left, don’t hesitate to volunteer. You are needed. I know! I invite you to volunteer asap! jk

I’ve help at the polls in yrs past. You are correct that the lack of training will cause problems. Hopefully my TDY here at Kunsan AFB will end intime for me to burn some leave & help out.
I’m *really* worried. I listen to Rush via the internet, and on Thursday’s show he (pretty much) painted a bulls-eye on the RNC’s back: they’ve gotten all they wanted in both JM & his campaign, but they are unhappy with the result. The R’s should be walking away w/this election in a Reaganesce landslide. Instead, they’ve LET the people who are the authors of our misery paint Conservs & R’s as the cause.
I sometimes wonder if those running the Repubs don’t see this as a throw-away election, worth losing to kill-off the conserv. branch of the party. They’ve been in the extreme minority before & they were happy w/that.
We have to keep enough R’s in Congress to keep the Dumbocrats from a bulletproof majority. We warn our Politicians in the interum and next election vote out those who won’t listen. We organize to bring Conserv. challengers up for primaries.
