He smeared our troops and he smeared the voters in his own western Pennsylvania district.
No wonder Democrat Rep. John Murtha doesn’t want to show his smug, bloated face.
Pennsylvania bloggers are buzzing over the corruptocrat’s decision to cancel his appearance at a debate with GOP challenger and Iraq War veteran Bill Russell.
Just call him Congressman Cut and Run.

tonight’s debate has been cancelled. Apparently, Mr. Murtha does not want to face his constituents, but is okay with calling them racists.
Feel free to call EVERY news outlet/talk show/ blog you can think of and scream about this latest example of his unwillingness to even pay attention to his constituents.

This is the problem with Congress and Washington. They’re addicted to pork, and use it like some kind of drug to keep their constituents mollified. I wonder how well the pork is working for SW PA, an area hit hard by steel mills closing. How is PA’s economy today?
Americans need to stop voting for the same old swill. If they’re using pork (either Dem or Repub) to buy your vote, then they’re interested in keeping a seat, not helping you out.
Republicans need to go at Dems hard about the do-nothing Congress that didn’t empty the swamp like they should. Any candidate, of either party, who calls for TERM LIMITS gets my vote. I just don’t know if either party has the spine to do so.
The Northeast is in bad shape and if its residents would wake up from the overtaxed twilight zone they find themselves, perhaps there wouldn’t be such a stagnant economy and unwelcoming business environment like you currently see in states like NY.

I’m on the opposite side of PA, but I voted twice for Peg for PA Governor against pro-choice Tom Ridge. She was a third party candidate and I think she got about 10% of the pro-life Pennsylvania vote in her second bid against him. Thanks, Michelle, for the memory of this brave woman.

The only poll I could find is this, which says it’s pretty much a dead-heat. (Russell has a slight advantage — 47.4% to 44.3%, but it’s within the margin of error.) Apparently, there haven’t been any wide-spread polls because everyone figured Murtha was a sure bet. I hope Russell proves them wrong! This idiot’s free ride is over!!

What Murktha actually said was that he was inadiquately fed on his visit to the Green Zone.
It seems that they only had 1 transport to send sMurfa’s food over in, and only enough fuel allocted for 1trip/day.
And a *terrible* diet it must have been… I’ve often wondered if there were stories of food warehouses mysteriously disappearing during his visit…

This weeks Newsweek magazine evaluated Joe Biden’s great debate performance–they stated that he did a great job and did not commit any gaffes.
I heard Joe tell how the U.S. and others ran the terrorists out of Lebanon. This never happened–the Lebanese people formed a mob that caused the Syrians to leave temporarily. Meanwhile, Hizbollah (Iranian surrogates) controls the Southern half of Lebanon–from the Litani River to the Israel border, and they are now part of the government–with veto power over military actions.
What gaffe? Nothing to see here. I can’t wait for Joe’s next pronunciamento when Hizbollah takes over Lebanon.

Everytime Murtha opens his big mouth, I find mysaelf on the RussellBrigade website and I donate another 200 to 300 dollars toward defeating this disgrace of a human being, with apologies to insulting the human race here.
