And then she could ask Joe: “If they worked in the mines for 16 hours and played football for the other 8 hours, when the heck did they go to sleep?
And as for Joe’s claim of playing football for 8 hours a day, I once asked a local college football coach at a banquet if any of his practices are 8 hours a day. The coach looked at me like I was nuts. When I told him about the Biden’s work/football daily routine, the coach burst out laughing.
I won’t mention the coach’s name but somebody once called him “the ole ball coach”.

Obama lamented right after 9/11 that the real cause for this heniuos act was due to out lack of sensitivity to the needs of terrorists. Biden’s brilliant “response” to 9/11 was offerinf Iran $200 million with no strongs attached just to show them there were no hard feelings.
On the anniversary of 9/11 this year, Obama tossed a rose as though he was going for a 3 point shot. And while Cindy McCain was there, Michelle Obama, the “not proud of her country”, “America is a mean country”, Michelle Obama, was a no show. Her excuse was that her kids were in school, yet the days preceding the event she had made numerous campaign appearances in Ohio and Indiana, as well as making appearances in the days after 9/11/08.
Barak and Michelle Obama sat through voer 20 years of Jeremiah Wright sermons, sermons that damned America, blamed the government for creating the AIDS virus, accusing the government of selling drugs in black neighborhoods, making racist attacks against whites and blaming America for 9/11 (going so far as to say the US DESERVED 9/11).
And Obama is close with Bill Ayers, who has an absolute hatred of the US, is close with Louis Farrrakhan, who hates the US, white people and Jews, is close with convicted felon Rezko who saw the US as a sheep to fleece, and maintains close relationships with redical Islamic groups via his cmapaign.
I suppose Obama’s definition of patriotism includes trampling on US citizens’ constitutional rights by stealing the right to vote through voter fraud. Or includes funding his campaign through illegal foreign donations and donations that violate our laws.
Obama and Biden believe patriotism is not what you can do for your country, but what your country can do for you. Patriotism is tearing the Constitution apart and replacing it with a socialist foundation taken from the Communist Manifesto. Patriotism is burying the memories, writings and standards set by our founding fathers and replacing them with the writings and principles of Marx, Alinsky and Mao, with a healthy dose of input from other historical socialist luminaries like Hitler and Stalin.
To Obama and Biden, patriotism is destroying the foundations of the US and replacing them with starting with a new keystone that destroys US sovereignity and sets us on a path to a new world order.
In my book, however, that is not partiotism. It is a creeping sedition that needs to be soundly defeated in the November election.
Americans love our culture. socialists love our dirt.

Joe Biden can call his liberal cohorts patriotic but their actions and words speak louder.
The “I support the soldier but I’m against the war” patriots don’t see the irony of their statements. These are the same people who rarely ever serve their country – they only criticize it.
These same liberals are never found at disaster sites along with the churches (primarily Republicans) lending a helping hand. Ever seen an ACORN Mobile Kitchen preparing hot meals for those who have survived a natural catastrophe? No. They’re usually the one’s accepting the handouts. How about the Hollywood liberals? They not only refuse to donate their time and labor (unless it’s for a photo-op), they rarely give their money. They’d rather sing a song and ask someone else to contribute.
I cannot for the life of me figure out why the people living in Joe Biden’s state continue to send him to the Senate each year. It can’t be because of his superior intellect that is rarely on display. It has to be the pork he brings to the state.
Joe Biden is not for the Joe the Plumber crowd, that’s for sure.

mistressjustice May I remind you that I live in northern Idaho. If you believe the stories, we are the most racist state in the union. All the years I’ve lived here I’ve never heard a racist remark. I don’t know were your from but don’t extrapolate your experiences to include all conservatives.
I don’t think the argument is that there are not fringe groups on both sides, but the republicans do not embrace their crazies and the democrats do. MJ brought up Pat Robertson, he was condemned by Republicans while the vast majority of the media (left and right) skewered him and he got very little defense from repubs. Rev Wright says despicable things about the U.S. and the media covers it up and defends him. Democrat politicians defend him as well. People here are frustrated and rightfully so.
I am sick of the godlike status BO has been given. He is even on the cover of Men’s Health this month. For what? He is skinny and was a chain smoker for years. I guess he is going to give advice on how to live without strong muscle tone, how to whiten yellowed teeth from cigarette smoking and early signs of lung cancer, what to look out for. The only politician I could understand being on the cover would be Arnold.

Question: Why is it stupid to discuss which party was helpful for race relations and which was not? Maybe if honest discussion was allowed to happen, African Americans would become free from their masters – the white democrats. As long as they depend on this group of people for their support, they will be enslaved. Why ignore the facts, talk about them so change can happen.

Since when, Biden? I love how patriotism is suddenly a liberal belief system when, during the last 8 years, it’s been mocked as “old school,” and “from the past.” Since when is it patriotic, Biden, for liberals to do the following:
1. Dismantle the military and deny the funding they need to recruit and replace their old equipment (especially the Air Force and Navy)?
2. Discriminate against military spouses.
3. Call those who oppose Obummer racist.
4. Take money from the productive and give it to the welfare cheats/deadbeats.
5. Give welfare to those who don’t pay taxes and call it “tax credits.”
6. Demonize homeschoolers who want to give their children a complete education rather than let them stagnate in a government school.
7. Unions who will represent permanent teachers but won’t do the same for subsitute teachers because they’re a “threat” to those permanent teachers’ jobs.
8. Making people pay taxes on stuff they already own and are trying to pay off now (like houses and cars).
9. Making people pay federal surcharges or fees on resources they’re already struggling to pay for such as fuel, power, and gas.
10. Paying children to stay in school.
11. Demonizing businesses who can’t afford to stay in business because of the current steep business tax rate.
12. Urging people to “buy American” but not disclosing that certain products, like vehicles, suck and aren’t reliable or compete successfully on the world market anymore.
13. Being a consuming rather than a producing country.
14. Encouraging low-income people to have babies to collect more money from the tax payer.
15. Deterring vouchers and school choice and making kids stay in unsuccessful/stagnating schools.
16. Expecting people to pay for kids’ college instead of the individual.
17. Expecting people to pay for other people’s healthcare.
18. Guilt-tripping people into believing that socialism is just a harmless scheme that takes care of one’s neighbor when it’s really seeks to make everyone equally poor.
A lot of these scenarios didn’t accumulate over night. No one should be surprised about any of them. Every American should be heartbroken over the reality that Americans don’t care about their country or the fate of our Republic or free market, capitalistic economy. Americans aren’t just voting against McCain, they’re voting against personal responsibility and thinking for themselves. Voting for a socialist Dem like Obummer is the easy way, indicating that money and free stuff talks to American voters, not civic responsibility and giving back to your country such as serving in the military.
This country is such a disappointment. Americans will find out the hard way what many “responsible” European citizens already know- socialism doesn’t work, it bankrupts a nation of new ideas, potential, and resources.
And greedy Americans will whistle blissfully to the ballot box not even thinking of the consequences to people who just want government out of their lives. How very, very sad this country has become.

Reverend Wright was a member of the US military for seven years (he left college to join). He was part of the medical team that took care of LBJ after surgery. Rev. Wright voluntarily put his life on the line for this country and you guys think he’s anti-American because you saw a two minute glimpse into one or two of his most incendiary speeches?
You discount any and all of the great work he’s done for his country and in his community because of the “God Damn America” line?
What happened to debating policies in this election? All I hear is one smear after another. The fact you’re bringing up Wright (again), can’t stop talking about Ayers and Acorn proves to me you can’t win this argument on the merits.
Hell, even Sam (Joe) the “Plumber” would benefit under Obama’s tax plan, but McCain’s campaign seems to think he’s winning on the issues there…amazing!
So when the issues aren’t a winner, I guess you turn to smears and accusations. Fortunately, those attacks seem to be speaking only to you, the hardcore, radical right-wing base who have already made up their minds, and not to the undecided voters that will likely shape the result of this election.
