Hey, I’m a retired blogger now, and the best thing about retirement is that, rather than keeping up with the news, I get the chance to just settle back and read books now and then.
Books like, oh, say, “A Kind And Just Parent“, by William Ayers.
Pages 81-82 caught my eye:
Kind of cheeky of him to throw that in there, since Ayers’ neighbor, “writer Barack Obama” also blurbed and reviewed this same book. But that’s just what neighbors do for each other!

I lied about reading books. This was the work of five minutes googling. “Hmm,” I thought, “I wonder if Obama’s name shows up in Ayers’ book? I’ll bet the text is on Google Books”.

see-dubya, I’ve become convinced that Ayers actually ghost wrote “Dreams from my Father”, which makes the Ayers description of Obama as a “writer” simply wicked delicious.
The quote says “the only racially integrated neighborhood in Chicago,” and yet the borders are carefully maintained for “stability and separation” by the university Ayers works for? Was he complaining about something there? And he sounds rather condescending toward the Fruit of Islam. Could that be racist? How very odd.

I’ll ask the rhetorical, here: how does Reverend Louis F have a mansion in Hyde Park again? Isn’t that enough to make rational people stop and ask themselves: “hmm… how is it that a man who produces nothing but hatred against our culture and society lives at the top of it?” It’s the fact that we (the collective “WE” of our American society) don’t care that has brought us to our current trouble.
It’s obvious who Obama is. Part of me really doubts he can win the big dance. However, had you asked me a year ago if I thought we would see western banks nationalized within 12 months, I would have called you crazy… and probably thought you were a conspiracy-theory nut job.

Ayers is the best example of why we should never allow traitors to breathe a moment longer than required to get them up the steps of the gibbet. In the post-war era, we have become too soft to hang people for silly things like treason. We should rethink, and if we cannot find the courage to execute traitors, be they seemingly innocuous hippies or their mousy, housefrau-esque wives, we should offer them the choice of exile forever, or the end of a rope. If we had the fortitude to offer such choices to Ayers and Dohrn, we might today not be facing a Marxist dictator in waiting very near to occupying the Oval Office.
As soon as felons can vote, and welfare cases can vote twice, our civilization will be at an end. Largely because of people like Ayers, we are already at that point. Why will you wait until they have you bound and gagged to fight back?

All of these connection my be pure paranoia on our side. I’ve always been very careful in believing information that can’t be verified by at least three independent sources. That type of precaution was the duty of investigating journalist. In as much as the MSM has relegated there role in our culture to become cheerleaders for Obama we now have only few people with limited budgets doing their job. Yet at the time of writing this book he states “There’s painful truth in that description as the powerful university and it’s allied neighborhood association have worked to manipulate boundries and borders to assure “stability” and seperation.”
He is living in an area that he would have once despised and wanted to destroy and now Ayers is shoulder to shoulder with the rich and powerful.
I guess when you get comfortable in your existance that ideological concerns of the past just seem to slip to the side or you learn to justify those differences with your current existance.

There was a point when Barack Obama was a street activist who organised widescale voter fraud, and all of his opponents in the election which launched his political career (from Bill Ayers’ living room) were disqualified in court actions due to “irregularities” with the signatures on their petitions, allowing young Barack to coast into the Illinois state Senate unopposed.
Jack Ryan’s Senate campaign was derailed by a Judge who opened his divorce records in a highly suspect action, bordering on judicial misconduct.
There is a nexus there I think.
Who was (were) this (these) judge (judges) who manuvered so singlemindedly to install Obama in a seat of power, and provide cover for a murdering rapist scum like Billy Ayers?

RockyR…I just heard on TV this a.m. that Obama recently took in another $150 million. Apparently, he is getting a lot of small donations via the internet, etc. and doesn’t have to report where that money came from. Unlike McCain, who has reported all his contributions, Obama hasn’t. So, in addition to all the other things in his past that have been “lost” or hidden from the people, we now have millions coming in from everywhere. I am convinced the money is from muslim countries and is disguised as small doners. Does that make me a conspiracy nut? I guess it does. But there it is. Barack Hussein Obama is stealing this election by brainwashing the masses, taking control of the media, and having his campaign financed by the richest people in the world. Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, he wants to seal the deal by a fraudulant election. And yet, I too think he won’t be able to pull it off. I wonder why that is? I just can’t help believing that when push comes to shove, when people come to actually vote, they will realize Obama is not up to the enormous challenges facing this country right now. We need to keep thinking positively and not give up!

See-dubya thanks for the information. It appears your retirement has served you well in gathering interesting facts about the Ayers/anointed one relationship. They continue to damn themselves in their own arrogant words (written or spoken). The reference to Farrakhan and the protection his neighbor is afforded by the Muslim goon squad that will break the legs of anyone that dares mess with the elitist snobs living in this neighborhood was very enlightening. Probably the future security details we can look forward to running amok in our own neighborhoods once the anointed one has complete power and attempts to take away or 2nd Amendment rights.
Off topic, but I had an interesting conversation with my youngest brother that is still managing to provide for his family in the People’s Republic of California. He works with a woman that is a Lt Col in the Army National Guard and they have received two questionnaires asking if they would be willing to seize weapons from American citizens. Of course they receive an overwhelming Hell No from the Guard troops. I haven’t heard anything like this going around the active duty force yet, but it will spread like wildfire if it hits our Air Force Base. I wonder if this is only being attempted at the National Guard or Reserve forces level right now. If I remember correctly Can’t Cure Stupid is a member of the Louisiana National Guard and wonder if this has been attempted in other than states ruled by a Socialist Austrian pretending to be an American RINO state Governor.

This is just silly. They live in the same neighborhood. How many other people live in the same neighborhood, city, or state? The suggestion is that neighbors have an impact, potentially influencing politically, on their neighbors. Possibly. Maybe.
Do your neighbors impact and influence you politically? Do you wave to your neighbors because you know them personally, or because you recognize them? (Full disclosure - I wave to people in my neighbor, whether I know them, or their politics, or not.)
If there is something that the McCain campaign knows and isn’t telling us, they better do so, and do so quickly. I am getting tired of being told Sen Obama is not telling the truth. Stop hinting and throwing mud. Make it stick.
I don’t have the resources to know and determine the truth about Sen Obama’s associations. And, the MSM is not going to do it, so says the McCain campaign.
Sen McCain your suggestion about Sen Obama not being forthcoming is not going to be addressed by him, therefore it is up to you to tell us. Be a leader.
Since the drive-by media is in the tank for Obama and refuses to even mention these things (other than to ridicule them), I think the answer is “no”. Add in all of Obama’s millions spent in ads, and his 1/2 hour campaign ad that will air right before game six of the world series when everyone is watching. There will be very few republican voices heard from now until the election. There is a blackout in msm of anything negative against The One. Gutter “journalism” at it’s best.
The Powell endorsement proves Obama is desperate for military credence and shows Powell is seeking revenge against the Bush administration for second guessing him in Iraq; otherwise, why would Obama - the war’s biggest critic - accept an endorsement from the war’s biggest supporter/cheerleader and why would Powell offer an endorsement to someone who has sought to undermine his military reputation on Iraq, except as a means of retaliation against his former bosses?
Sometimes, if my post is taking a long time to load, I will copy and paste it into a Word document. Then I go out and come in again and paste it back in. That usually works. It is extremely frustrating to write something and have to start over. So copy and paste is your friend.
I find the endorsement petty and doubt it moves anyone; in fact, true war critics should be turned off to BHO by the Powell endorsement.
Definitely worth investigating!
I fear that our message against the danger of an Obama presidency is not going to reach enough people that have already swallowed the Obama hype - hook, line and sinker. God help us.

Hey Troll…No one is “hinting” anything. The proof is there and the truth is being told as loudly as we can. The problem is that the brainwashed masses (such as yourself) refuse to hear the truth. It is difficult to make the truth “stick” to slime.
Colin Powell has always been a “leftie”. He just never got into political rhetoric while he was serving in the military. This endorsement is no surprise. But, I had always thought Powell had a brain. Guess I was wrong.

The police are out front talking to one of my “neighbors” and his son. I was looking out the window and saw the boy ripping out my “Vote Sarah/McCain-Palin 08″ sign. Well I know and wave to that neighbor. He is a Left-wing state employed mouth. Obviously he has taught his child well the ways of the Left.

If you’ve never read the Lord Of The Rings trilogy - or even watched the movies - now is the time.
Because the entire point of the tale is that the only honorable thing to do, ever, is to fight until you cannot fight any more. Even when you are horribly outnumbered, outgunned, outwhatevered - you must never give up because if you do, you’re handing victory to the enemy.
Why hand it to them? At least make them work for your total annihilation. At least make them spend blood, sweat, and tears to defeat you and everything you believe in.

It would appear none of this matters to many of the “elite”.
General Colin Powell just endorsed the Leftist Socialist, Barry O. for President. Powell described the Illinois senator as a “transformational figure.” and Powell expressed disappointment in the negative tone of McCain’s campaign, as well as in his choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as the Republican vice presidential nominee.
So Barry O is “transformational” but Sarah Palin in unqualified?
So what is it called when you endorse or vote for someone because of their skin color, because it sure appears that’s what Powell is doing to me?
Standard democrat talking points. Powell follows orders well.
You know, I’ve been thinking about this mess for quite some time and have come to the conclusion that a large portion of these Obama supporters are choosing their candidate as some choose a ball team to win. It’s not what the candidate is saying, how he plays or what his stats are, it’s more like “I’m going with the team that can win so I can say I picked the winner”.

When telling the truth about a negative individual, one will invariably be negative.
There seem to be a lot of concern trolls in these comments, demanding that I produce ironclad evidence of Ayers’ friendship with Obama.
But seriously, what more do people need? Not only are Obama and Ayers closely tied, Obama lied about the closeness of their relationship.
It’s the coverup that gets you.
What’s interesting is that the more the liberals claim that McCain’s negative attacks against Obama about the Ayers connection is making things worse for him, is actually taking on the opposite effect.
With Obama’s 4 to 1 spending against McCain, his lead (according to the polls) has dropped.
I personally am not trusting any polls as they tend to be heavy-weighted towards Democrats. If you look at all the underlying data, you’ll see why.
Obama is an over-inflated candidate and starting to look like a cartoon.
I agree on all of this. The polls are definitely skewed. However, I am becoming increasingly concerned about momentum. After seeing the 100,000 people who attended Obama’s rally in Missouri this weekend, and hearing about his $150 million take in September, I am, frankly, worried. Not giving up, just worried. I do trust God’s Will, and there are many folks praying all over this country and even other countries.
Yes, he looks that way to us, but to the unwashed masses, he is their savior. Yuck.

Sen McCain your suggestion about Sen Obama not being forthcoming his associations is not going to be addressed by him, therefore it is up to you to tell us what Se Obama is not telling us.
Name calling is not helpful and I have an open mind and am willing to hear the truth. I read the links and the actual post where the highlighted portions from the Ayres books speaks to who lives in the neighborhood, which I addressed in my original post.

The fact that Senator Obama has not repudiated all the messianic comments delivered toward him by his own supporters tells me that he is not really a Christian.

Money isn’t everything. I think people are realizing there’s no substance to this guy, otherwise, even the heavily skewed polls would be higher, much higher. They can’t skew them anymore because it would be too obvious. Already bad enough.
With all this money (record-breaking, I might add), all those ads, all the mailings, etc., it’s not doing much, otherwise, he would be 15 points or more higher in the polls.
He’s just not closing the sale, and there are a lot of skeptics out there in flyover country, as they call it.
Heck, there are a lot of skeptics right here in CA. Even if they do tear down all the McCain/Palin signs in our neighborhood every day, in their hearts, they know who they’re voting for.
And all the intimidation, yard sign destruction, shout in your face Obama drones aren’t going to change minds.
