Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you – not financially to help him – we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

There’s no personal agenda. Like 10s of millions of other Americans, I think Obama will make a better president than JohnnyMac. I don’t think we’ll be under Iranian rule in my lifetime, or my child’s, or my child’s child. I believe in fighting Islamic Jihadists, but I think such a war should be fought with intelligence. (spies, assassinations, and blowing crap up). Not by invading countries preemptively, and spending 10 billion dollars a month, borrowed. If you think McCain will make a better leader than Obama, I’m sure you’ll vote for him. I most certainly disagree.

Couple that with Jesse Jackson’s assertion that Obama will, in essence, adopt a relaxed attitude towards Israel’s well-being, and you might suppose an Obama Presidency will result in Iran’s attack of Israel moving up in the cue. In that international crisis, Obama will face a tough choice: will he shower Mahmoud with praise at the White House, or at the Victory Column in Berlin?

Another thought is this: Recently both candidates and their top aids were briefed on top secret national security issues by the President and staff in order to profide smooth transition to the winning side. So apparently, having 300 advisors is not enough. He needs the entire population to tell him what to do as well.
He is wanting us all to be patient while he tries to figure out, not only what just happened, but what to do about it. While there will be people dying, the rest of us will just have to sit by and be his cheering section, hoping and praying that he will make the correct decision.
And should the decision, once eventually made, be the wrong one, we are all supposed to just pat his little pooper and say, “That’s alright Big O. You gave it your best shot. At least it showed you tried. Keep at it. You might get it eventually”.
Are they kidding? Is that what was expected of President Bush after 3000+ Americans were slaughtered in less than two hours a mere 7 years ago? Were people being patient with him and allowing him to make a few mistakes as he adjusted to being tested by those that ran roughshod about the map during the Clinton Administration? Can you just imagine if President Bush came on the radio and television during his first appearance after the attacks and said, “My fellow Americans. My 300 advisors are currently working very hard at figuring out what I should do, and it may take some time. What we need to do right now is not fly off the handle and just act out of revenge, but use this time to try and understand the people that did this and what we as a country did to upset them so. As soon as I have been appraised of what the advisors have come up with, I will sit and contemplate it in my usual, deep thought and get back to you. a friend of mine said his reason for voting for obama was he graduated for harvard at the top of his law class and mccain graduated at the bottom of his naval academy class. i reminded him i went to law school and amazingly enough 3 of the 20 something affirmative action classmates ranked in the top 10 of my law class also. they start at the beginning of the summer so they have less course load during the year, they have mentoring classes all year long, and the dirty little secret is the number assigned to them for their test scores assignment is the lowest in the class because they start 1 semester before the normal class. ie the first 20+ numbers assigned to the class are assigned to aa students, so when you are grading them, knowing who is an aa student is obvious.
Sorry, but I’ve looked and looked at that picture of Biden trying to figure out who he looks like and it’s not Dagwood – He looks like the Tin Man on the Wizzard of Oz. MM – if we could have a pic of smirky Biden with that oil can hat! It would definately be a Ta Da moment.
BTW, in biblical times, one meaning of ‘gird your loins’ was for Roman soldiers to pull up their skirts to protect their pelvises from attack. In other words, Joe was doing CYA for when (if elected) Obama immediately takes the military option off the table in any (all) world crisis he faces.
