Bumper sticker of the day

By Michelle Malkin  •  October 21, 2008 12:16 PM

My friend Val Prieto, founder of Babalu Blog and fidel castro’s worst nightmare in the blogosphere, sends the bumper sticker of the day and warns: “Be careful what you wish for.”

Exactly. Spread the wealth around, suffer the consequences:

True, but I fear it shall take more than blogs, ballots and letters to the editor to stop such change. The Left senses this is the time to grab more-they will not let anything so meaningless as the democratic process stop them. They never have.
Good for Val Prieto, founder of Babalu Blog.

    The Threat:

And after crisis, with a violent change of power, structure, and economy, you have a so-called period of normalization. It may last indefinitely. Normalization is a cynical expression, borrowed from Soviet propaganda, when the Soviet tanks moved into Czechoslovakia in 1968, Comrade Brezhnev said, “Now the situation in brotherly Czechoslovakia is normalized.”

This is what will happen in the United States if you allow all the schmucks to bring the country to crisis. To promise people all kinds of goodies and a paradise on Earth. To destabilize your economy. To eliminate the principle of free market competition and to put a Big Brother government in Washington DC with benevolent dictators like Walter Mondale Barack Obama who will promise lots of things, never mind whether the promises are fulfilled or not. He will go to Moscow to kiss the bottoms of a new generation of Soviet assassins, never mind, he will create false illusions that the situation is under control. The situation is not under control. The situation is disgustingly out of control.

Most of the American politicians, media, and educational system, trains another generation of people who think they are living at the peace time. False. The United States is in a state of war. Undeclared total war against the basic principles and the foundations of this system. And the initiator of this war is not Comrade Andropov Putin of course, it’s the system — however ridiculous it may sound — the world Communist system, or the world Communist conspiracy. Whether I scare some people or not I don’t give a hoot. If you are not scared by now, nothing can scare you.

But you don’t have to be paranoid about it. What actually happens now, that unlike myself, you have literally several years to limp on unless the United States wakes up. The time bomb is ticking, with every second the disaster is coming closer and closer, unlike myself you will have no where to defect to. Unless you want to live in Antarctica with penguins. This is it, this is the last country of freedom and possibility.

    The Antidote.

I remember when Batista was outed by that great “humanitarian”, and savior of Cuba, Fidel Castro. I was a teenager at the time (no age jokes please!). I remember hearing all the cheers and accolades for Castro. Finally, Cuba would be relieved of the oppression brought by the evil dictator Batista. I’m not saying Batista was any great shakes. But Castro is decidedly worse, as the Cubans found out to their everlasting despair. Yes indeed, be careful what you wish for. McCain may not be the ideal candidate, but Obama is the Fidel Castro in this analogy. One thing, though…an Obama presidency would cut down on the Cubans getting into life rafts and trying to flee to America. It won’t be much improvement over what they would be leaving.

The closest thing we have to Reagan right now is Palin. Sure wish she was at the top of the ticket. Better as VP than not on the ticket at all though, as long as mccain doesn’t screw everything up by limiting what she can say and making it seem like she believes some of his cr@p.

I’ve said before that I think Palin could very well be a female Reagan. Like Reagan, she seems not to let detractors pull her down into the mire with them. She has a certain love of life and direct way of speaking that reminds me of him. God bless her.

I, too, hope McCain doesn’t squelch her talents. I have a feeling that he would have a battle on his hands if he tried.

    Me, too. How’s this?

Squealer: Do not imagine, comrades, that leadership is a pleasure. On the contrary, it is a deep and heavy responsibility. No one believes more firmly than Comrade Napoleon that all animals are equal. He would be only too happy to let you make your decisions for yourselves. But sometimes you might make the wrong decisions, comrades, and then where should we be?

What would be really funny is when the Castros dry up and wither away. My bet is that the Cuban people prop up resorts, rum companies, and fruit plantations to increase their free trade with CANADA.

I wrote an article about why I think people are falling for the vague idea of change.

It has to do with the amount of gratitude a person has in his or her life.
Obama his mastered the ability to exploit this by providing instant gratitude (after convincing you no one else gave you reason to be grateful)
