The Obama camp has made a theme and a meme out of calling John McCain “erratic.”

From the Oct. 12 NYT: “In Friendly Region, Biden Cites McCain as Erratic.”
The Democratic vice-presidential nominee, Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr., sharing a stage with Bill and Hillary Rodham Clinton for the first time this year, said the campaign of Senator John McCain was stooping to stunts and “ugly inferences” because it was losing and was out of ideas.
Rousing a crowd estimated by the police at 6,000 on an otherwise quiet day on the campaign trail, Mr. Biden said Mr. McCain’s campaign had become erratic, a reference to Mr. McCain’s changing positions on the financial crisis and his decision two weeks ago to suspend his campaign briefly to deal with it.
“Presidents have to supply steady leadership,” Mr. Biden told the friendly crowd in this northeastern Pennsylvania city where he spent the first 10 years of his life. He said Mr. McCain had become increasingly desperate and negative because he saw the presidency “slipping from his grasp.”
I think it’s time for Team McCain to throw a label boomerang right back at gaffetastic, erratic Biden.

I really think Joe Biden is insane.
Time for the McCain and RNC camp to start calling a Socialist for what he IS and spell out and make no bones about that means to your wallet and morality! To too many Americans socialism is just a catch word. Americans need a reality check to know that taking out their sheer hate for Bush by pumping Obama only royally screws them in the end. McCain must pull out all the stops! He has nothing else to lose, and I am NOT impressed by gentlemenly losers.

This issue of erratic plays well only because we on the right refuse to fight dirty also. Why not remind people, as Michelle suggests about Biden’s stupidity? Why not go after the obvious lack of intelligence on Gen Powell’s part when he stated that Palin had no experience hence he’d support that totally inexpererienced piece of excrement…… why won’t we go for the jugular when we can?
I think Biden has convinced himself that HE’S actually the Presidential Candidate, but has to pretend not to be for the sake of his party.
Maybe he’s really one of the ‘Pennsylvania racists’ Murtha was talking about and can’t stand the thought of playing second fiddle to Obama.
His demeanor just shouts that to me every time I see him.

I have a theory about this, actually.
I wonder if Bill and Hil didn’t encourage Obozo to tap Bidumb in return for their “support” to his campaign. This way, they can support him in public knowing that the campaign will be sabotaged from within by a feckless moron.
I have no evidence to support this (hence the word “theory”), but it sure will be easier on Hil in 2012 if Obozo loses this year, and Bidumb has diarrhea of the mouth the likes of which I’ve never seen or heard before.

McCain was far from my first pick for the ticket, but he’s not erratic. Biden’s the man talking about how an untested Obama will face his first crisis within 6 months.
Rightwing Rocker – I understand your frustrations, but helping McCain win is still a better play than helping Obama. A scorched Earth policy in seeking a “pure” conservatism isn’t going to make the fight to restore conservatism any easier.
An Obama presidency with a stronger majority for Pelosi will make that fight even more difficult, not easier. Sure, conservatives will be even angrier, but we’ll be standing on the outside.
We’ve done this a hundred times. There are a few third party types here and there are a few trolls that are trying to convince the rest of us to waste our votes and vote third party. You’ll never convince the third party folks to vote for McCain and the trolls are just a waste of time.
Perhaps electric shock treatment would help the Senator.

If we learned nothing else from the 2004 election, it’s that voting LOTE is just as damaging as voting for the Donk.
Until Americans decide to grow a pair and stand up for the Constitution, nothing is going to improve, epsecially when the Republicans put up a big-government liberal candidate who’s more beholden to the Donks than to even the most liberal Republicans.
I do not begrudge anyone their LOTE vote, as I have voted that way before and understand the logic, but PLEASE get off the backs of those of us who are actually standing up for what YOU aren’t willing to stand up for. Remember, if you don’t (in your case won’t) stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.

John Ansell…I totally agree with you on those issues. Totally! BUT, Obama would be WORSE. He is corrupt to the bone. McCain may be dead wrong on some of the important issues of the day, but he is NOT CORRUPT. Do you really think that, once Obama gets in, he will do no harm to this country? Dream on. He will destroy it. McCain might not work for immigration reform or drilling in ANWR, but he isn’t corrupt. And he won’t try to enforse the “fairness” doctrine. The media ignores all his gaffes, but they can’t hide them forever. They are now part of the record. His most recent remark – implying that the world is going to test a new Democratic President, like they did JFK, because of his lack of experience – will not only be useful in this election but also in many future elections to come. It serves to remind Americans that even high ranking Democrats lack confidence in their own abilities when it comes to foreign policy and keeping us safe.
