I think we all know McCain isn’t the dedicated conservative we want, and for those of you who just have to vote for the Constitution Party or Bob Barr or whoever, well, go ahead. And as Rusty pointed out, if you live in an overwhelming Red/Blue state, it won’t make a huge difference. But I have read Obama’s team likes Barr in the race because it forces McCain to defend an otherwise safe state, Georgia.

But between a concerted war on conservative talk radio, and a built in 5 or 10% advantage from voter fraud when Obama/Pelosi pass ACORN’s dream project, nationwide same day registration/voting (and maybe ID-less at that!), this might be the last really free election in a long, long time.

BTW, I sincerely hope Scalia, Alito, Roberts and Thomas and the coin-flipper stay healthy for at least four, preferably eight years, or there will be no remaining check on full communism in this country, as whatever Obama wants, will fit some parallel universe US Constitution, as interpreted by a Marxist rubber stamp.

With Obama and a super majority in both house and senate I have no doubts they will re-enact it. Remember, it was in effect for some time before Reagan killed it. (But like most liberal ideas it has the ability to rise from the dead, like a vampire.)

Obama will either hand pick, or his FCC commissioners he will appoint, will handpick a ‘fairness committee’ of the same people that sincerely believe “Faux News” is the only biased cable news network, and that, if anything, CBS and CNN aren’t tough enough on the GOP.

One bit of good news, the Fairness Doctrine alone probably won’t put Limbaugh or Hannity off the air. It’ll cut there effective operating revenue in almost half, as stations carrying them will have to balance them with six hours of revenue-less air time, ie, Air America type hosts that couldn’t keep a George Soros supported radio network in business. I see the lesser know conservative hosts, like Hewitt and the others on Salem, Laura Ingraham, Mark Levin, maybe the pseudo-conservative (when he isn’t sending money to Jerry ‘Moonbeam’ Brown) Savage, those are the one’s forced off the air.

I will say, Obama’s Department of Justice, and the IRS, will closely watch Hannity and Limbaugh for any excuse to hassle them. And, if we do get an Obama friendly SCOTUS, Euro/Canadian style hate speech laws may do the trick to put even Limbaugh and Hannity off the air.

He believes that a liberal viewpoint, you know, the kind that likes to talk over, and louder than their opponent, would add a “knowledgeable” point of view to any political discussion.

Does the FCC even regulate cable and satellite? I thought the reason Howard Stern went to satellite was to escape FCC regulation?

Of course, all it would take is an act of Congress to expand the Censorship Doctrine to cable and satellite.

The 1st Amendment has already been severely wounded.

I spoke the truth about the 1st Amendment,

People who don’t understand the plain language of the 1st Amendment, (and wrongly think that it says “Separation of Church and State”),
have no problem silencing the voices of others.

It’s not just liberals who are part of the problem.

    Re: cable TV

If Obama gets to replace one of the four Constitutionalists, or the coin flipper, while he has a Congressional super-majority, he can probably find some excuse (The Commerce Clause, Dems love it, they can use it as an excuse to regulate anything, because it might affect “interstate commerce”) to extend ‘The Fairness Doctrine’ to cable and satellite.

Or, as stated above, Euro/Canadian style hate speech laws and commissions like the one Mark Steyn faced recently.

Ok I don’t think this will survive a 1st Amendment challenge unless Obama wants to wait until after he has the opportunity to appoint some new Justices.

That being said we Conservatives have to find a way to challenge the power of the Federal government. I still believe in our Constitution and that it IS the law. We in Red states need to work to elect Conservatives at the state level who support the reassertion of states rights under the 10th Amendment. I’ve posted this story before and think this is the blueprint.

Otherwise we’re screwed and will be frozen out of power.

Obama will obviously not slash the Defense and Homeland Security budgets so much he won’t have a few Coast Guard boats with 50 cals, and some soldiers trained for crowd/riot control.
