Stock market free fall today. I have a conspiracy theory. Perhaps this has already been suggested, but if so, I haven’t seen it. Two words. George Soros. He did it to Britain. And he wants his boy to win the election. I saw that the trading volume today was quite low considering how much the DOW lost. Could that be because someone was trading large chunks of the same stocks? Like a multi-billionaire could do if he didn’t mind losing a few million? Just a thought. Something has been afoot for a long time and this is just one piece of a very big puzzle. I do know that half of the people in this country have a “veil” over their eyes and cannot see the truth when it is right in front of them. Something big is going on here and we have no control over it. We have never had a gun in our home. We are going to get one and learn to use it.
At that point I will become a striker. Creating this 50.1% majority that are completely dependent on not just government, but Democrats being in charge of the government seems to be the dem’s only goal.
the government of this past century has turned the constitution on it’s head. the constitution was written to PREVENT a centralized government from running roughshod over the people which is what happened in europe all the time. so it set up freedom of religion, not freedom from religion, freedom of speech, not fairness doctrines to determine what speech is correct speech, freedom to own a gun and organize in a militia to stop the government from having a monopoly on weapons and a military which can suppress the people. now progressives want to change (restrict) all these rights just as they did the right to secede from the union, and the right to fair and honest elections. the emergence of the judiciary as the dominant branch of the 3 equal branches of government bodes badly for the people, as none of these black robed deities are elected, none can be replaced easily, and all can interject their will over the will of the majority on any subject at any time. you ask about the constitutionality of something, it’s only constitutional if 5 of nine unelected people say it is. think of one important issue decided by the people in a vote which hasn’t been really decided by 5 guys on a court. illegal aliens on welfare roles, eminent domain, affirmative action as a right, abortion as a right, free speech not as a right, protected classes of people with more rights than others. the list goes on forever, with 5 guys last week saying the vote in ohio can be stolen by an ohio partisan and ohioans don’t have standing to challenge that law. get ready for civil war part deaux.

As long as someone is not calling for/prepetrating violence or disrupting funeral services (Westboro Baptist Church), they have the right to their beliefs and to state those beliefs. Recall last summer when Dianne Feinstein attempted to get rules imposed on Senators that would prohibit them from posting anywhere on-line except their official Senate web site. If they wished to place an opinion or video file elsewhere, they would first be required to get the content and the web site approved by a committee of fellow Senators. If the liberals are willing to stiffle the free political speech of elected representatives of the people, why would we think they would hesitate for a moment to directly censor our free speech?
Yah know, I have been thinking about this for a while. The fairness doctrine – picture this. The NYT or some other liberal mouthpiece does a hit job as they are genetically imprinted to do. We sue them for equal space and placement to set the record straight using the fairness doctine as a weapon against them. I can almost hear the anguish, can you say “unintended consequences”. In the end we could be in a much better position to get our messages accross.
the first step in a sensible direction is to vote AGAINST any judge you see on your ballot. vote AGAINST any tax proposal no matter how wonderful they say it will make life. vote against those who seek to enslave you before resorting to weaponry. but if we manage to vote mac in, and the black robed deity install obama because some soggy chicago ballots turned up the next day, all hell will break loose, and it will change the u.s. as it is presently constituted. remember texas, you can form 5 states and gain 8 senators by doing what your treaty with the u.s. allows you to do.

Interesting you should say that. I had the same thought when I voted this a.m. There were dozens of judges who ran unopposed and I didn’t bother to give them my vote. But there were others who were incumbents with someone running against them. I voted on the one running against the incumbent every time. There was also a vote on a small tax increase for more clean water, soil, etc. You know, the usual environmentalist stuff where they get you one-half penny every time because it seems so small, everyone votes yes…after all, what is one-half penny, and who wouldn’t want clean water? Well, I voted NO. I also am, for the first time, going to vote NO on all future school referendum requests. Every year, our schools want more money. I know it hurts the kids when they need money and have to cut programs. But it is the OVERSPENDING and lack of good budgeting that is the problem, and I am finally tired of throwing good money after bad. It took me a long time to finally “get it”.

I hope I’m only being hyperbolic, but what if we are living in the Ukraine in 1917 or Germany in 1932.
Right wing dictatorships, like the Pinochet regime in Chile, sometimes liberalize, voluntarily relinquish power. They usually came to power in the first place because they perceived a threat from communists. And unlike Gorbachez in the USSR, they start relaxing the system not as a last resort because the system has completely collapsed.
I don’t think, if Obama is as bad as I suspect, that individuals with rifles and Desert Eagles will really be able to stop the impending Marxist dictatorship. If the military stays loyal to Obama (and many of those disgusted by serving under a Marxist will not re-enlist to serve under him a second term, and, like under Clinton, the politically favored will rise to the top of the officer corps), we’re screwed.
We’ll know in a couple of years. It will be somewhat incremental at first. But if Obama is as bad as I suspect he is (ie, he really is Bill Ayer’s “Manchurian Candidate”) only a military coup can save the USA as a representative democracy.

Fairness in the media is what we have here in Honolulu. One newspaper wanted to shut down operations and combine with the only other daily newspaper. A federal judge prevented the merge, saying that the people of Honolulu were entitled to TWO DISTINCT editorial outlooks from competing newpapers.

I think that they are doing this on purpose to try and make Republicans stay home with the thought of, “Why bother”.
I also think that the spectre of “racism” that the Obama Campaign and his supporters have put on ANYONE speaking out against him or who state they will not vote for him has also played heavily into the polling. I think that people are saying one thing, but planning on something else.
I pray I am not wrong. The “Fairness Doctrine” effectively kills free speech. That makes it unconstitutional. Therefore, we simply do not adhere to it. Period.
Congress shall make no law that infringes on freedom of expression, etc. This is so obvious and simple.
Of course, this is also naive. Doesn’t a citizen have standing in telling Congress “No” when it is infringing on his or her natural right?
If a lawsuit if filed against a company in knowing violation of the Constitution, wouldn’t that make it a frivolous or harassing effort to deny one’s right? So, couldn’t a counter-suit, requesting an injunction against Congress be possible?
Speaking of “fairness,” are there no longer any standards at ABC, or is it just their desire to assault their viewers with a daily Leftist diatribe for no other reason than the fact that some people will mindlessly watch anything?
