In theory, the fairness doctrine would be a great thing. Heck, communism looks good on paper where everyone shares in the prosperity. Unfortunately, once put in practice it will be a disaster that affects only the conservative voice. I have heard some conservtive talk shows say "bring it on because then the rest of the MSM will have to have me on". The flaw in that thinking is, who determines what is fair? The gov't of course. The libs already beleive the MSM is fair to even being center right (nutcases). So the gov't will say having some left of center moderate is providing the voice of conservatives.
