Obama’s donor credit card fraud problem
More than a week ago, a north Kansas City couple blew the whistle on credit card fraud benefiting the Obama campaign.
Investigative journalist Ken Timmerman has uncovered more:
What do Bart Simpson, Family Guy, Daffy Duck, King Kong, O.J. Simpson, and Raela Odinga have in common?
All are celebrities; and with the exception of Odinga and O.J. Simpson, they also are fictional characters. And yet, all of them gave money earlier this month to the campaign of Barack Obama, without any apparent effort by the campaign to screen them out as suspect donors.
…The Obama campaign has turned a blind eye to the possibility of donor fraud. Reportedly, during the heated primary battle with Hillary Clinton, the Obama campaign “turned off” many of the security features on its online donor page, allowing any person with a valid credit card number to donate using any name or address.
Typically, card merchants require a cardholder’s name to match critical personal details, such as an address or, at the least, a ZIP code.
Though in recent months the Obama campaign has tightened up security and restored some of the security features used by merchants to weed out fraud, it still has left open easy ways for potential credit card fraud, including techniques similar to those employed by terrorists and drug traffickers to launder illicit funds.
For example, on Oct. 14, an individual using the name “O.J. Simpson” participated in Obama’s latest small-donor fundraising drive, making a $5 donation through the campaign’s Web site.
Giving a Los Angeles address, he listed his employer as the “State of Nevada” and his occupation as “convict.” The donor used a disposable “gift” credit card to make the donation.
The Obama campaign sent O.J. a thank-you note confirming his contribution, and gave him the name of another donor who had agreed to “match” his contribution.
Four minutes earlier, an individual using the name “Raela Odinga” also made a $5 contribution, using the same credit card.
The real Raela Odinga became prime minister of Kenya in April and has claimed to be a cousin of Obama’s through a maternal uncle…
“Good Will” and “Doodad Pro” have already been accounted for; no word yet on whether Mickey Mouse has charged his Visa yet for Hope and Change.

I have a feeling the words “fraud” and “obama” are going to be linked quite a bit for the next few years.
Instead of change, and hope, it should be cheating and hope. Somebody call Joey Grecko, the one is cheating!!! Cheater, cheater pumpkin eater!

Obama has been enabled since Day One. He is like the star althlete that from HS, through college and now the pros has been protected and never given limits or told, “no.” he has always been given cover, becasue he is considered a superstar. That is the classic recipe for someone who is destined for personal, aelf-administered destruction.

I do see the day when the MSM will be irrelevant, except to watch reality TV and reruns of those zillions of episodes of Law and Order. Same for the fishwraps, as most will get their news from the internet. Cable news will continue, but only a couple of them will survive. Our own Minneapolis Star and Sickle is in bankruptcy, and it is probably due to their one-sided reporting. I miss the newspaper, which I cancelled months ago. But they deserve to go down.

It’s weird. In the very late 70’s and most of the 80’s, the “survivalist” movement had gained a very strong following, under the guise that Republicans first, then Reagan, would bring about an apocoplypse that would render the USA into a wilderness of lawless survival. Your wits, skills, and weapons, were the only thing between you and total annihilation by the “New World Order”.
As Reaganomics proved conclusively that the economy was strongest when the market set the pace, and Reagan himself proved that standing up to evil would be the downfall of evil. This upheaval of American strength and riches tolled the death nell for the survivalist movement….even despite Clinton.
I used to laugh at most of the survivalists, thinking these guys are nuts on nougat. I did learn many ways to grow foods, obtain clean water, and construct shelter from a garbage heap. But for the most part, the movement was funny and mostly irrelevant.
With Obama possibly taking the White House….the survivalist movement suddenly looks applicable.
Not being paranoid, but I am stocking up on hunting ammo, dried foods, and fuel. You know…..just in case.

If this happen to me, not only would I dispute the charge, but also report the card stolen and get a new card. Also I would be sure to put an alert on my credit file. I see this as just one step below Identity Theft.

Grrrrr - I hate being put in the spot of defending Obama, but the small charge amounts make me suspect that the card numbers are merely being “tested” to see if they are good to go by card number thieves. The donations in the earlier story, from Jimmy Johns et al? Those were $2,300 each, which means a donor is trying to skirt the law or the donor is a thief who truly supports Obama.

I am willing to bet that there is not one instance where the McCain campaign received credit card donation from someone who did not authorize it. It just does not happen.
So why does it happen in the Uhbama campaign? Well, for one thing his followers have similar character? Just aksin?
I am going to go buy another gun today and plenty of ammo. Its inevitable that there will be unrest by Uhbama supporters whether he wins or loses (I mean if McCain steals it). I WILL my protect property.
I had my credit card number stolen about 3 years ago: first, they put in a small amount to some obscure store that sells hvac parts online, then if it goes through, they purchase a big item (back then it was to return it for cash instead of credit)…now, who knows? Contributions to the Obamassiah?
I have all of my credit cards on fraud alert - didn’t think I needed it back 3 years ago, but sure as heck know for sure I do now!
P.S. The hvac company was completely innocent, and were rather defensive when we first discovered the charges.
This is what will happen: they test, then they will send in a large contribution. By the time you see your statement, and you protest it, the $’s have already gone to the ONE.
