Photo of the day

By Michelle Malkin  •  October 22, 2008 11:00 AM

A Naval officer e-mails today’s photo of the day and writes: “I obviously can’t speak for all the troops, but I can definitely speak for one – I am a Naval officer currently deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom…The Taliban and al Qaeda don’t scare me nearly as bad as this election does…We’ll take care of things over here, but we’re counting on you and others like you to fight the fight back home, even after the election, whichever way it goes. Hang in there. We appreciate everything you do.”

We appreciate everything you do.

Listening to a couple of our local talk radio shows yesterday afternoon, several former enlisted individuals called to discuss what would happen to the military if the Messiah was elected. They were calling in to the shows regarding Biden’s remark about being “tested”.

All of them agreed the reenlistment rate would drop so severely that if we indeed opened another military front, chances were really strong the draft would have to be put into effect….

Before the moonbats spin my comment, I have a little homework for you…Check out H.R. 393, and tell me who sponsored THAT little gem…..

Some have paid the ultimate price, shown the greatest love, for us and our children.

They are willing to die for our country.

We owe them nothing less than being willing to live for our country.

If anyone has wondered why I blog, it is for God and Country.

The Taliban and al Qaeda don’t scare me nearly as bad as this election does…

For good reason. In my opinion, it appears that Communist Revolutionaries are on the verge of stealing the election.

The overwhelming majority of America does NOT want what the Democratic Socialist Communists are selling.

The MSM, through both stories and polls, is lying to the country. Obama is NOT in the lead. The last time a Democrat received a greater percentage of the popular vote than George W. Bush received in 2004 was … 1964. With the large number of PUMA voters who have openly declared they will be voting Republican for the first time this election, Obama will be lucky to get more than the 43% Bill Clinton got in 1992. And there is no Ross Perot this time around.

Obama can’t win in an honest election. He can only “win” by stealing the election.

Please join me in praying daily in the name of Jesus Christ for all corruption to be exposed, prosecuted, convicted, and prevented.

    Thank you in advance.

Still looking for a valid point here. Obama is flying arround in his own jet, Do you have one?

I said I didn’t care (and in fact encourage it). I was just answering what I thought was the question.

On point, if that will make you feel better, I have seen two polls thrown out here re: military voting.

I have promised I would not discuss polls. But were I not to have made that promise, I would point out that no way Zogby has a large enough sample from his regular daily tracking to give any sort of accurate numbers on military families. If Obama is only trailing them by 2 points, I will eat my hat. On the other hand the poll presented by the Military times is self admittedly skewed.

The results of the Military Times 2008 Election Poll are not representative of the opinions of the military as a whole. The group surveyed is older, more senior in rank and less ethnically diverse than the overall armed services.

I am sure that the real level of support lies somewhere in between. I wouldn’t be surprised at something like +15 to 20 for McCain.

Of course, this is only what i would have pointed out had I not made the promise. but I did, so disregard all of the above.

And parenting is an issue as much as a candidate makes it, and that’s about all Palin has that hasn’t blown up in her face.

I don’t. How do you equate a picture with money spent by the RNC?

The mindset I have is, if Palin wants to spend $10,000 on her kids clothing – good for her. The people who are having a problem with $600 being spent on a child have a fit unless the child is being savagely ripped from a womb and then they grow very silent or (UGH) call it a protected right.

As for this post being thread-jacked – it sucks but I, for one, will not let some of these comments stand.

I see, so white mothers are not allowed to run for office and have thier childrens support. How “liberated” of you. Who the F*%K are you to tell anyone how to raise thier family??? How the F%^K do you know how these kids are being educated. Is state approval of peranting skills next for Obamas marxist paradise? Attacking a candidates family was decleared off limits by the left, but here we are. I know you guys hate Palin for being a woman with her own unapproved opinion, but these attitudes you are displaying now are straight out of the 18th century. Worthless huffpo drone.

    PB,

Great question but, you know, according to the Donks, you are lying. The rest of us know your service should NOT be rewarded in this fashion and that it is a stain on this great country. Many thanks for your service and if I could give my vote to someone serving who “cannot” vote – I would.

What is the point in all this discussion about the Palins’ clothes? Every report I have read says that VP Palin’s clothes will be donated to charity, and as for the Vuitton bag, who cares?! After what the media has put those kids through – specifically, the NYT and NBC News – Piper and her sisters deserve whatever they are allowed to keep!

And another thing, the Obama girls get to go to school with only things having been said about their parents, and their parents’ poor choices in friends; the Palin girls have been directly attacked, and will have to go school with their friends having heard horrible fabrications about their baby brother, elder sister and their father.

There’s a big difference in the way the media have treated the Obama family and the Palin family, and it’s dishonest of any of you liberals here to deny it.

A 150k in new clothes doesn’t begin to cover the emotional harms done to the Palins by the MSM – in fact, the MSM should be made to foot the bill!

And Mr. Troll… you know this is on the RNC’s tab …how exactly?
