Photo of the day
A Naval officer e-mails today’s photo of the day and writes: “I obviously can’t speak for all the troops, but I can definitely speak for one – I am a Naval officer currently deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom…The Taliban and al Qaeda don’t scare me nearly as bad as this election does…We’ll take care of things over here, but we’re counting on you and others like you to fight the fight back home, even after the election, whichever way it goes. Hang in there. We appreciate everything you do.”
We appreciate everything you do.

God bless our troops. Let us do everything we can do to defeat Obama.
Great picture. Hope this officer’s vote will get counted.
Any news as the whether the military ballots will be counted in time?
We’ll hold the line. Stay safe and God bless!
OUTSTANDING. Love it.
Another reminder to our idiot liberal friends as to why they CAN be idiots!
God love em.
Even though I live in Ill-noise and there isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that McCain will win here, I will vote for him. I WILL NOT SUBMIT.
Yes, a big thank you MM for all you do. Thanks to all the commenters here at MM and HotAir who keep up the good fight.
Most of all, Thank you to our service people.
Beautiful picture! I love it.
I concur.
God bless you and and the men and women you command, Sir. I, and mine, will do our part here.
BTW good move in covering the unit markings. This would have gotten them in trouble if we knew who they were.
Listening to a couple of our local talk radio shows yesterday afternoon, several former enlisted individuals called to discuss what would happen to the military if the Messiah was elected. They were calling in to the shows regarding Biden’s remark about being “tested”.
All of them agreed the reenlistment rate would drop so severely that if we indeed opened another military front, chances were really strong the draft would have to be put into effect….
Before the moonbats spin my comment, I have a little homework for you…Check out H.R. 393, and tell me who sponsored THAT little gem…..
God bless all our men and women in uniform, there are some of us who actually appreciate what you do and stand for!
Thanks for the great picture Naval Officer. Stay safe.
We’ll keep fighting as long as you do. . . to the bitter end.
It’s a crying shame that our fighting men and women cannot even be sure of receiving the continued support of their country when they are laying their lives on the line for us.
If you thought Clinton sucked as CIC (Commander In Chief), well get ready for whats about to happen.
Hopefully its not going to be BlackHawk Down on a global scale.
Ummmm…while I sympathize with the officer’s intentions, I have mixed feelings about this. The idea of a campaign sticker on an official military vehicle just doesn’t sit well with me. Imagine if it were an Obama sticker.
Change we need.
God bless our troops.
HooYah!!
The ObamaMessiah has already pledged to cut our military the way the Clintonistas did. As Clinton elevated some real winners to General I imagine BroBama will too.
In 1991/92 we had a magnificent military and the scum of Arkansas gutted it. We would be hard pressed to fight a real war and with the Obamanites in charge I doubt we could tackle Boy Scout Troop 43-If the Obamanites don’t gut the Boy Scouts too.
We are in for a rough one.
He’s right….it’s our turn!
I am sure that it was put on for just the photo and taken off immediately after.
Our troops are pros, they wouldn’t cross the line on what is permitted.
Sadly, like most here, If we see in the future, the painting of Obama painted on each one, right next to a UN symbol, I won’t be surprised one bit.
Oh, and no, we won’t have an American flag anywhere to be seen either.
No he didn’t. He said he was going to double it and the funding…remember the Obama Corps (or whatever he called it)?
BTW, no one has included this 600 billion a year in his increased spending category!
This picture and my son’s comments while he is over there, have convinced me that I must, with all the reservations I have about McCain notwithstanding, do everything I can to make sure Obama goes down in flames. I can do no less for this officer and all those who stand on the wall.

I am so glad I forward this blog entry to everyone I know. We owe this to our troops!

MSM is MIA once again.
The military would be the biggest loser’s in an Obama admin. I told a friend right after McCain got the nomination, that regardless of the fact that I don’t care for him, we are fighting two wars and our military needs him. I get sick thinking about Obama as CIC.
Here’s my photo of the day.
By the way, O’s within 2 points of McCain among armed forces households and tied among NASCAR fans! And that’s a Zogby poll, which has been extremely favorable to McCain this cycle.
On the homefront, I had to go to a big family funeral a week or so ago, and my cousin who retired from 20+ years on Air Force One was there with his three beautiful daughters, the oldest who joined the AF last year. McCain/Palin stickers on all their cars, along with AF decals and Maryland license plates. I told him if McCain can’t pull this off, I’m moving to Alaska. He understood that sentiment %100. Good man.
Wait until I make my Newt/Jindal 2012 sticker.

What’s the point of your photo of the day?
I was in the Navy for 8 years and if I were up for reenlistment under an Obama administration, I’d walk away. I wonder what impact The One’s coronation will have on enlistment/reenlistment.
Be careful with that bumper sticker. The Talibums and Al Queerda will call you racist!
Makes me kinda sad.
Our bravest and finest over seas fighting for Americans and the entire world’s safety while ZERObama and ACORN and AYERS and ….just keep stickin it to them.
I hope we realize, Americans that is, that Obama can ruin in months what has taken this great country 80 years to do.
Thanks to all who have EVER served.
A 12 year old girl?
Ha! nobody will be trading that sign in for a PIZZA!

I wouldn’t want them watchin my 6.
That is one of Palin’s kids carrying a Louis Vuitton bag on the RNC’s tab. Not exactly sure which model, but minimum $600 for that.
Stand by for the memos from DoD, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Joint Chiefs warning, nay threatening with waterboarding, any member of the armed forces doing what is relfected in the picture.
That made my day. God bless our brave troops.
A touching story for McCain. Sigh.
Key excerpt “…on the RNC’s tab.”
knockoffs are cheap, how do you know its not a knockoff and ….who gives a fig.
That’s Piper Palin, beneficiary of the RNC’s $150,000 spending spree on Sarah and fam’s haute couture. Sure, they’re just like us “real Americans.”
Settle down. I don’t really care, just answering the question.
Anyone know what is up with Patterico’s website? Went there for my daily read and got a page for sedo parking
This same friggin kind of thought would not have had a problem if Palin would have spent $600 on an abortion – ’cause, you know, the baby was defective.
B. Obama would tax it and Michelle O would have rather spent it on earrings…
Huh? I don’t know how you are equating the two, soap.
I say let the RNC blow as much money as it wants on cloths, etc. for Palin and family. That’s just more money that can’t be used to buy air time in PA.
That’s Piper Palin, beneficiary of the RNC’s $150,000 spending spree on Sarah and fam’s haute couture. Sure, they’re just like us “real Americans.”
Has any of this been proven as fact? How do you know that’s Piper’s bag? Do you have a link to the story? I guess I’m out of the loop on this. And, that’s also McD’s cup if I’m not mistaken.
BTW chap…its scary that you know that!
And where are the pics of the Obama’s kids?
Don’t worry. I had to research it.
God Bless our brave Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, and Marines!
We’re praying for you and the future our Nation.
Thank you for putting your lives on the line for our freedom!
I also pray that BHO will be DEFEATED on Nov. 4th!!!
Those with knowledge of fashion and willing to point it out with distain:
1. jealous women
2. gay men
Let me back track a bit.
I realized that the picture was of Piper, I just don’t see what the point of it is on this subject.
Why are her kids’ clothing/accessories being scrutinized?
Perhaps the money for Gov. Palin’s wardrobe could be better spent, but that has nothing to do with Piper or this particular post.
Out-frikkin-standing!!
Chap, they’re helping the economy.
I remember watching Bill Clinton’s first visit on an aircraft carrier. The closeups of the faces of the good sailors said it all–their dislike for Bubba was obvious. They all did their duty regardless of their personal feelings–good military persons always suck it up and move on.
I also saw George Bush’s visit on another aircraft carrier–with the “infamous” mission complete banner the military put up. Their high regard for a former member of the military was obvious–despite the LWM (not MSM) whining and complaining about the visit.
John Bibb
Looks like an M1151.
Nice photo and sentiment. Completely lost on at least 50% of the country, unfortunately.
This post makes me so emotional that words hardly convey what I’m feeling.
This Naval officer “gets it”.
Our men and women in uniform are literally willing to put their lives on the line in the defense of freedom.
Some have paid the ultimate price, shown the greatest love, for us and our children.
They are willing to die for our country.
We owe them nothing less than being willing to live for our country.
If anyone has wondered why I blog, it is for God and Country.
For good reason. In my opinion, it appears that Communist Revolutionaries are on the verge of stealing the election.
The overwhelming majority of America does NOT want what the Democratic Socialist Communists are selling.
The MSM, through both stories and polls, is lying to the country. Obama is NOT in the lead. The last time a Democrat received a greater percentage of the popular vote than George W. Bush received in 2004 was … 1964. With the large number of PUMA voters who have openly declared they will be voting Republican for the first time this election, Obama will be lucky to get more than the 43% Bill Clinton got in 1992. And there is no Ross Perot this time around.
Obama can’t win in an honest election. He can only “win” by stealing the election.
Please join me in praying daily in the name of Jesus Christ for all corruption to be exposed, prosecuted, convicted, and prevented.
Thank you in advance.
AND????
Still looking for a valid point here. Obama is flying arround in his own jet, Do you have one?
Grow up.
They’re too busy going to school to be used for photo ops past their bedtimes.
Here’s a link to the story, courtesy of Drudge.
The point is Sarah Palin is dragging her family around America trying to project an image of common folk, when she’s actually glamming them up like movie stars.
The photo was during the day. I thought family members were off limits to libs? Or is it just the black ones who are off limits?
I remember a lamestream news article a few months ago that had the military in the bag for Obama 65% to 35%…Maybe all of the polls that say Obama is ahead by 5 plus points are lies too?
Everyone knows that Chap’s mink throw blankets always coordinate with his duvet that covers the most succulent white goose down pillows on a bed of 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets.
Lucious… and in one word that is – simply Fierce!
This is all smoke and mirrors. Money is used by a candidate to get elected, period.
If window dressing is needed… like giant columns at a fire worked Obama event, or a trip abroad to get the approval of European socialists, the candidates use the money as they wish.
Goooooo Palin!
And this stupid meaningless point relates to what???? Obamas family has been shown as common folk many times. Remember the magazine articles? Am I to assume the Obamas will not be clothed at government expense if this country is crazy enough to elect the marxists?
I know that huffington post told you what your opinion is on this topic, but it is not doing anything so far.
Love the picture. But he better hope there are none with any faces next to it.
As for the picture of the adorable young lady with the purse… What? You’ve never seen a little girl carry her moms purse?
The only things “fierce” about Chaps are his hypocrisy and lack of ethics.
I said I didn’t care (and in fact encourage it). I was just answering what I thought was the question.
On point, if that will make you feel better, I have seen two polls thrown out here re: military voting.
I have promised I would not discuss polls. But were I not to have made that promise, I would point out that no way Zogby has a large enough sample from his regular daily tracking to give any sort of accurate numbers on military families. If Obama is only trailing them by 2 points, I will eat my hat. On the other hand the poll presented by the Military times is self admittedly skewed.
I am sure that the real level of support lies somewhere in between. I wouldn’t be surprised at something like +15 to 20 for McCain.
Of course, this is only what i would have pointed out had I not made the promise. but I did, so disregard all of the above.
Thats why the unit markings were covered up. Remember how the left tried to destroy joe for daring to question the one?
Yes, it’s just the black families. j/k… You didn’t see the convention? Or the Flyers game? My kids didn’t because they have bedtimes.
And parenting is an issue as much as a candidate makes it, and that’s about all Palin has that hasn’t blown up in her face.
Their posh private school.
Don’t let the trolls steer the conversation away from where it belongs:
RSS – I still don’t see what the point of your picture is on this subject. For all we know she was carrying her mom’s purse.
Look at their home and their income, how is it that you cannot see that they are closer to “common folk” than anyone else in this election?
And my hatred of Real Americans and Christians. Don’t forget those.
McCain, R-Ariz., handily defeated Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., 68 percent to 23 percent in a voluntary survey of 4,293 active-duty, National Guard and reserve subscribers and former subscribers to Army Times, Navy Times, Marine Corps Times and Air Force
Times.
I don’t. How do you equate a picture with money spent by the RNC?
The mindset I have is, if Palin wants to spend $10,000 on her kids clothing – good for her. The people who are having a problem with $600 being spent on a child have a fit unless the child is being savagely ripped from a womb and then they grow very silent or (UGH) call it a protected right.
As for this post being thread-jacked – it sucks but I, for one, will not let some of these comments stand.
On Topic:
I sure wish Americans would take our fighting forces lead instead of trying to find ways to discredit them (or keep their votes from counting). GOOOOO team!!! We love you!

You’re right of course. God Bless Our Troops!! And please God, let McCain/Palin prevail.
I see, so white mothers are not allowed to run for office and have thier childrens support. How “liberated” of you. Who the F*%K are you to tell anyone how to raise thier family??? How the F%^K do you know how these kids are being educated. Is state approval of peranting skills next for Obamas marxist paradise? Attacking a candidates family was decleared off limits by the left, but here we are. I know you guys hate Palin for being a woman with her own unapproved opinion, but these attitudes you are displaying now are straight out of the 18th century. Worthless huffpo drone.
You simply lack integrity, but if that’s also how you roll, so be it.
Now ignoring the troll…
.
RAAAAAACIST!
Not “how I roll”, so much as out of necessity. I am a lawyer, you know.
I can tell you that neither I nor my fellow personnel were able to effectively vote while deployed.
If people are going to be up in arms about “voter disenfranchisement”, why not be up in arms about the suppression of military votes?
Here’s another one of those non-interviews that Palin doesn’t make herself available for.
Is there ever going to be a time when conservatives have had enough? When they see that their country is being hijacked and that everything they believe in is about to be killed and destroyed? While the military is still strongly conservative, will they ever say, “Let’s Roll!” and take this country back?
First thing I thought was that Piper was carrying her mom’s purse, along with a McDonald’s soda cup. How much do you think the RNC spent on Piper’s happy meal? I’m sure it’s a little more than it has been since everything has gone up since the Dem induced meltdown but still what…5 bucks maybe? And are you certain that SP hasn’t had that purse a while? Like long before this campaign perhaps?
Come vote in my very non scientific poll:
http://www.americanarmed.blogspot.com
No skewered polling sample here.
PB,
Great question but, you know, according to the Donks, you are lying. The rest of us know your service should NOT be rewarded in this fashion and that it is a stain on this great country. Many thanks for your service and if I could give my vote to someone serving who “cannot” vote – I would.
RSS & Chap:
What is the point in all this discussion about the Palins’ clothes? Every report I have read says that VP Palin’s clothes will be donated to charity, and as for the Vuitton bag, who cares?! After what the media has put those kids through – specifically, the NYT and NBC News – Piper and her sisters deserve whatever they are allowed to keep!
And another thing, the Obama girls get to go to school with only things having been said about their parents, and their parents’ poor choices in friends; the Palin girls have been directly attacked, and will have to go school with their friends having heard horrible fabrications about their baby brother, elder sister and their father.
There’s a big difference in the way the media have treated the Obama family and the Palin family, and it’s dishonest of any of you liberals here to deny it.
A 150k in new clothes doesn’t begin to cover the emotional harms done to the Palins by the MSM – in fact, the MSM should be made to foot the bill!
And Mr. Troll… you know this is on the RNC’s tab …how exactly?
And you know it’s not a mock up? Not that I approve of mock ups, but your point is the expense and who paid it.
You have zero facts there. Don’t spread misinformation or we’ll have to start calling you Hillary.
And this thread is about that soldier. What an awesome picture.
PB,
These are legitimate, non-snarky questions.
Who is in charge of getting your absentee ballots to you (and back)? Do the states send them to you directly or they go through the military in some fashion?
What state did you live in when you were deployed?
PB,
…right on cue.
