Reading Bill Ayers

By Michelle Malkin  •  October 23, 2008 09:13 AM

Zombie, the Internet investigative reporter/photojournalist whose work I’ve spotlighted here often, is busy doing the Ayers’ research the MSM won’t do.

Over the weekend, Zombie uploaded Barack Obama’s cheery book review of his neighbor’s tome on the juvenile court system.

Now, Zombie has unearthed Ayers’ Weather Underground manifesto, “Prairie Fire.”

Print it out, read it, pass it around.

A takeaway passage from Zombie’s essay:

Ayers and his co-authors freely brag about their bombings and other violent and illegal acts, and even provide a detailed list, most likely typed up by Ayers himself, of the crimes they had committed up to that point. Ayers’ list, scanned directly from Prairie Fire, is shown below. He may have escaped conviction due to a legal technicality (the prosecutors failed to get a warrant during some of their surveillance of the Weather Underground), but this in no way means that Ayers was factually innocent of the crimes. As has been widely reported, after the case against him was dropped, Ayers described himself as “guilty as hell, free as a bird.”

Spread the knowledge.

I brought up the subject of what’s going to happen after we take over the government. … They also believed that their immediate responsibility would be to protect against what they called the counter-revolution. They felt that this counter-revolution could best be guarded against by creating and establishing re-education centers in the Southwest, where we would take all of the people who needed to be re-educated into the new way of thinking and teach them how things were going to be. I asked, well what is going to happen to those people that we can’t re-educate that are die-hard capitalists? The reply was that they would have to be eliminated. When I pursued this further they estimated that they would have to eliminate 25 million people in these re-education centers. When I say eliminate, I mean kill … 25 million people.

I want you to imagine sitting in a room with 25 people, most of which have graduate degrees from Columbia and other well-known educational centers, and hear them figuring out the logistics for the elimination of 25 million people. And they were dead serious.

Frank Marshall Davis, Obama’s mentor from age 10 to 18, was a card carrying member of the communist party.

Obama was and has been endorsed by the communist party in Chicago.

And, if you look at the statements in Prairie Fire Obama appears to be following Ayer’s playbook to the “T”:

    -The book targets community organizers;

    -the book targets “oppressed” populations to cultivate and capitalize on their resentment;

-the book notes that the revolution to establish socialism in the US is a long road, and that some fighters must work the system from within.

    Pretty damn incredible.

Don’t worry America. Just belch up a little fast food, tell a couple of toilet jokes and watch an intellectually insulting, recycled comedy show on television.

You are not a shadow of your former self. You are fat, dumb, and unhappy. You are in decline, your knees are buckling underneath you, your back is bending.

Just stop fighting. Stop caring, completely. Just do what you are told. Remember what your public education teacher told you? Remember what your economics professor told you? You have it coming. You’ve had it too easy. You haven’t shared enough, and spread it around.

You are racists and imperialists and you’ve caused most of the pain in the world. Your only hope at salvation is to turn to the One.

You need a Muslim sympathizer to lead the War on Terror. You need Louis Farrakhan’s Messiah. Who else would you elect, a war hero and a successful government reforming governor?

Why? Are you proud of your country? Michelle Obama is, now that you are finally going to give her something worthy of her.

Can’t you just look past your racism and see you should pay more in taxes so unemployed minorities who live next door to you and drive a better car can have an even better shot at “The American Dream”?

Can’t you see you owe them that because 150 years ago their ancestors were slaves? I know, they commit 65% of the violent crime but only make up 13% of the population (so?), and after 60 years of hand outs they are filled with more resentment, arrogance and hate than before the first check was cut.

That’s why you need to go back to sleep and forget about all this red, white, and blue stuff. Haven’t you caused enough pain? Haven’t you read brother Ayer’s great words about our imperialistic nation? Haven’t you paid attention to Rv. Wright’s bold sermons of truth?

Only the One can cleanse you of your racist sins. Doesn’t that Obama sticker on your car make you feel fresh and new? Kinda New World Order-ish isn’t it?

Don’t you feel like you’re part of something special: The Weather Underground, Nation Islam, Acorn, reparations, community organizing, redistribution, early illegal voting, the restructuring (end) of capitalism and the beginning of that never before tried gift to all of humanity: socialism?

Feels much better doesn’t it. Kinda relieves some of that guilt you’ve been carrying around.

Don’t worry! It’s nothing the Messiah won’t let into soup line Paradise. Go back to sleep now.

I sent Michelle an e-mail on this, but I am sure she has not gotten to it yet.

There is more to the story than a book Ayers wrote 30 years ago – he just republished Prairie Fire along with two other Weather Underground books.

    From my email to Michelle:

There is absolutely NO question that their[Ayers and the Weather Underground] goal was the overthrow of the US Government by all means, including armed insurrection. It discusses the joys of socialism and the need to work to unite all less fortunate peoples in the struggle to change the system from within. If you look at Obama’s work as a “community organizer” and his record of far left policies, you can see an undeniable and chilling link between Ayer’s work and Obama’s history and current platform. Incredible.

    But it gets better!!!!

After a little more digging, I found out that Bill Ayers, proud of his work, reissued Prairie Fire along with two other out of print Weather Underground publications. All in one volume. And the date those works were republished – was 2006!!!!!!

The new trilogy is entitled “Sing A Battle Song: The Revolutionary Poetry, Statements, and Communiques of the Weather Underground 1970 – 1974. Edited by Bernardine Dohrn, Bill Ayers, and Jeff Jones. (Seven Stories Press) ”

I actually found a review of this trash from 2006 posted on some wanna be Che Guevara’s web site, who describes the new reissue as a “call to arms”:

“This new book brings back into print three of the best of many Weather publications. The excellent Weather magazine “Osawatomie” is yet to be re-issued. Included are the three book length projects: the eponymous “Sing a battle song”, “Prairie Fire” and “The Weather Eye”. ..

“Prairie Fire: The Politics of Revolutionary Anti-Imperialism: Political Statement of the Weather Underground” is the voice of Weather at its most mature and complete, a brilliant revolutionary voice speaking with clarity and calm, that is worth listening to even from the vantage of thirty years on. “Prairie Fire” also comes with a bibliography of the radical left which remains as complete a source of revolutionary reading I have seen anywhere, before or since. ”

    http://glenthrasher.blogspot.com/2006/11/sing-battle-song-revolutionary-poetry.html

Obama “assumed” Ayers was reformed? Obama’s “neighbor”, who admitted he was a communist, decides to reprint his old works two years ago to once again stir the revolutionary fires here in the US, resurrecting his old goal of overthrowing the US government. Published by Ayers a year after Obama joined the US Senate.

Pretty incredible. No wonder Obama has tried so hard to bury his Ayers relationship. It is what Ayers did “40 years ago” when Obama “was 8 years old”, it what his friend, neighbor, fellow writer and political mentor did a mere 2 years ago.

Obama is an extension of Bill Ayers. He is picking up where Ayers left off. And Bill Ayers shouts, “What a Country!”

Your post highlights the crucial difference between Republicans and Democrats. Terrorism is no laughing matter and anyone who associates with terrorists; foreign or domestic is a threat. You seem to think it’s old news. Why is that? Oh that’s right because he happens to be associated with your presidential candidate and despite all attempts to whitewash their relationships it’s still being carried by the blogosphere. You have every right to be afraid but from my vantage point your fear is misplaced.

Bill Ayers should be sharing a jail cell with the Unabomber. I do not get it. Partly, it is that while I am a nice, well educated upper middle class type (my Obama voting wife claims I am an intellectual), I came from more humble background.

My father was a boomba from Brooklyn who worked his way up from the loading dock to be operations manager for a small mail order company. My mom was a high school dropout who ended up running their own business. Both were from poor immigrant families — my father never slept in his own bed until he was drafted for the Korean War (he shared one with his brother) and my mother did not have a proper bed until she was 16 or so (she slept on a coach until then).

I say this Ayers’ father was Chairman of Commonwealth Edison and most of his compatriots were spoilt kids. That is what really pisses me off about Ayers and his ilk so much. My oparents spent their life building, she spent the first part of his adult life destroyng and the second part sponging.

This back-and-forth exchange of opinions is fascinating. I find myself unable to stay away from this blog, even while at work, where I am being paid quite handsomely to perform supposedly more constructive tasks. Unfortunately, it saddens me that there is such a dearth of discourse regarding the most important question facing us all today, a question that transcends all others, a question that is, in every respect, directly related to today’s conversation on the evil Ayers. The question: Is there currently a war being waged here on Earth between the forces of good and the forces of evil? PLEASE please hear me out on this. If one can, at the very least, acknowledge that these forces do in fact exist, then it would not be difficult for one to ultimately recognize, especially when viewed in the context of current events, that evil is an undeniably real and destructive force here on Earth. Not only is it both real and destructive, but it is also nefarious and cunning in that it is able to manifest itself in human form. In human form, evil wears the ultimate disguise – and therein lies both its insidiousness and its potency. In human form, evil becomes virtually undetectable because it can look like just about anyone. At this point, some reading this may be questioning my sanity. Nevertheless, I ask you to ponder this: How else can we even begin to explain or rationalize the aberrant belief systems and unconscionable behavior patterns of the seemingly unhinged and hate-filled left??? How????? Ayers talks in earnest about “eliminating” 25 million non-believers. Does that not convince you that that evil has surely taken hold in the hearts and minds of these people. Remember, these fanatics worship at the altar of “Godlessness”, rabid in their devotion to dogma which weds the immoral to the amoral. The Left’s utopia is a guilt-free, “anything goes” culture, one devoid of accountability, responsibility, consequences and most importantly, moral scrutiny. In their bizarre “no-God” zone, life is viewed through a prism of moral relativism where universal values and absolutes have no real meaning, but are applicable only within the context of certain cultural boundaries or individual preferences. In their abstract, hazy shades of gray world, moral compasses are permanently disabled so there is no one “right” or moral way of thinking or of doing things. Their morality is driven essentially by what will best serve to further their warped and very dangerous social agenda. For them, no universal standard exists by which to assess truth or righteousness. Their espousal of this type of personal, subjective (pseudo) morality is intellectually dishonest, to say the least. More importantly, however; it is extremely dangerous, for it causes them to draw flawed moral symmetries (see LGM’s drivel for examples of this) – and not precise moral distinctions – between the two sides of every conflict. This is why they can sincerely claim that McCain’s association with Liddy is just as abhorrent as the Messiahs to Ayres. This is why they will always show more compassion for the criminal than for the victim, no matter how heinous the crime. They loathe Bush, but show much less (if any) rancor for the former Butcher of Baghdad (may he “Rest-In-Peace”), the Venezuelan strongman Chavez, the Holocaust-denier Ahmadinejad or Al-Qaeda chief bin Laden. In fact, to them, the treacherous Bush to be the “real” terrorist and – and by “logical” extension – the bigger threat to world peace. Sounds crazy, doesn’t it? But it is happening today. Evil seems to be winning the war with the Left as its proxy. Ayers insists that at least 25 million American must be eliminated. His kindred spirit Barack Obama will soon be inserted as the next President of the United States. What are we going to do about it?

There are two groups of people for whom the 2008 election is potentially The Last Hurrah:

    1. The media arm of the donkey party. They tried and failed in 2000 and 2004 to throw the election to their patrons, and narrowly failed each time while seeing their viewer/readership decline after each election. They see 2008 as their last real shot to influence the outcome, which is why they’re going for broke and aren’t even pretending to be objective anymore.

    2. Conservatives. Their failure to keep Hopenchange from becoming president — with a solid donkey Congress behind him — will result in an “open season” on them by the donkeys, which would by 2010 replace the two-party system with something more akin to Venezuela’s one-party model. See this article from Red State for details.

One or the other will prevail; it’s only a question of which one.
