Update: Voter Fraud House ballots in Ohio will be canceled

News is just breaking in Columbus that the 1213 out-of-state Democrat activists who registered to vote (and 5 who cast votes) in Ohio — despite having no ties to the state and no intentions to reside there — will have their ballots canceled.
You can thank the young reporters at Palestra for rectifying these wrongs, not all the high-powered, deep-pocketed credentialed MSM investigative journalists who looked the other way at Voter Fraud House. In a just world, Palestra would be lavished with public service journalism awards.
The elite left-wing activists — Rhodes Scholars, Marshall Scholars, and Truman Scholars among them — argue that they were simply “confused” about state residency requirements. No charges will be brought against them. Voter fraud violators can be charged with felony in Ohio.
C-Y-A.
It’s a three-letter acronym for get-out-of-jail. (A four-letter acronym if you’re Joe Biden.)
Some details:
At least 12 voters who listed the same east side address on their voter registrations will not have their ballots counted, the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office announced Thursday.
No charges would be filed in the case, according to press release.
According to the release, the voter registrations in question had been canceled, and the absentee ballots would not be counted.
Last week, prosecutors opened an investigation into the voters after they each listed a home on Brownlee Avenue as their address on voter registrations, 10TV News reported.
10 Investigates later learned that the voters were members of “Vote From Home.” Part of the group’s mission involved registering voters and taking them to polling locations.
At least one of the volunteers told 10TV that he came to central Ohio to recruit voters, but did not plan on a long-term stay in the state.
“A lot of us have family in New York,” said volunteer Daniel Hemel. “(We) come from New York; we’re graduate students. Most from Oxford in New England and we’ve been living in Ohio for the summer.”
Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’ Brien said he had made contact with some members of the group. He said they appeared confused about Ohio law.

Ace of Spades is waiting for the cries of RAAAAACISM! Well, where are they?
Gee, I wonder what policy Ohio officials are attempting to advance regarding vote fraud?
They’re nice white kids from good families. Charges are only appropriate in cases of black lower-class ACORN workers. You know — the no-account coloreds who really don’t matter and who don’t have fancypants white dads with lots of money and white pull.

Good, 12 down, 199,988 to go.
You led the charge on this Michelle? Wow! Bravo times ten!
Now if we can only get micky mouse’s name off the roles in OhiO I will feel hapy.
That is what you have to do here RNC. CHALLENGE EVERY BALLOT TO MAKE SURE ITS A REAL PERSON.
Make Ohio and Pa and other states go through what Florida did in 2000.
The standards must have fallen a little since I applied.
YouPalestra led the charge on this Michelle? Wow! Bravo times ten!Redact post #2.
While this is important, Obama’s henchmen are now attacking Republican volunteers — on Drudge now.
This is what happens in a socialist state. Vote their way or be silenced — one way or another.
This needs to be prosecuted. It is only the tip of the iceberg, and we can’t let them walk away after being caught red-handed. That will only encourage additional fraud (”What are they going to do? Slap my wrist? Ha Ha Ha!”)
The Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy is openly trying to steal this election. 12 out-of-state Democrat activists cast votes in Ohio — despite having no ties to the state and no intentions to reside there — and they get a “Get out of Jail Free” card?!?
How do we build pressure to bring a prosecution?
Exposing the corruption is a great first step, but it must be followed up with prosecution, conviction and prevention!
Mugabe Scholars is more like it.
Thanks for the update Michelle! For once, something is being done about voter fraud.
That’s typical though. They should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. They knew exactly what they were doing. Didn’t the Vote from Home website receive some scrubbing and impromptu additions after they were discovered? If we prosecuted people who participated in voter fraud, we’d have less of it.
Good riddance.
Bull. How “confused” does one have to be to figure out that if you don’t live in a state, and have to fraudulently claim someone else’s residence there to register, that you’re not entitled to vote there?
Just like I’m sure that all the fraudulent, foreign, and over-the-dollar-limit contributors to Hopenchange’s slush fund masquerading as a “campaign fund” are also “confused.”
Lazy (or donkey) prosecutor is what this sounds like.
Why do I think we won’t hear about this via the MSM? My prayers go out to that poor woman.

If the Franklin County Prosecutors Office doesn’t have the stones to press charges against these miscreants, then it might be time for otherwise law abiding citizens to consider vigilante justice.
Cancelling out 12 votes is like pissing in the wind.
Forming a US equivalent of the “Black Shadow” will bring this BS to a skidding halt.

Prosecute them!
I seem to remember a history lesson that stated, ‘ignorance of the law is no excuse’ – except of course if you are a Rhodes-Marshall-Truman scholar working diligently to elect ‘the one.’

Teddy Duchamp: Goofy’s a dog. He’s definitely a dog.
Chris Chambers: He can’t be a dog. He wears a hat and drives a car.
Vern Tessio: God, that’s weird. What the Hell is Goofy?
Answer: Just another voter in Ohio.
From the party of Tolerance?
Anyone here suprised? I want to hear more about this story, but it doesn’t look good.
12 down, 6 million to go…
B.S. Big time. They were confused.
These are college students. They should sue the schools they are going too.
Apparently they aren’t being taught anything they can use in the real would.
Maybe I can use that excuse in Ohio to get out of traffic ticket. ” Excuse me your honor I was confused about Ohio traffic laws”
Maybe someone needs to start a recall on the prosecutor, apparently he doesn’t know a lie when he hears one.
Don’t wait for any denouncements or anything. Obama’s not too good about saying sorry for anything. Still waiting for him to denounce Lewis’s absurd comments towards McCain. He had his chance during the last debate, and he STILL didn’t do it.
He hasn’t said a word about the press attacking Palin and her children, so I’m not holding my breath on this one either.
Good. Throw out the rest,too.
*Cue Halleluja Chorus*.
This is the best news in a long time.
See ya, wouldn’t wanna be ya, fraud voters.
Re: From the party of Tolerance?
methinks this could escalate…
If Obama loses, (a win guarantees a coverup) the Justice Dept. must prosecute this fraud all the way up the ladder to include The One himself. Then move on to Frank Raines and the Dem crooks in Congress on behalf of Mortgagegate. I want to see a gigantic perp walk with Raines, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd up front. They can cry ‘racist’ until they’re blue in the face. Throw the book at them.
Top of the iceberg.
oops, tip of the iceberg.
I’ve never understood how one could register to vote and obtain an absentee ballot during the same election cycle.
We’ve now officially become a banana republic.
You know, if we had an FEC or a justice department that were interested in these types of crimes, they might want to look and see if these “confused” students also voted in their home states. I have to imagine that casting a ballot in two different states amounts to a federal felony.

Nuance.
I’d support a Constitutional amendment stating that:
1. The voting age is 25 for all natural-born or naturalized citizens, except for active or veteran military members.
2. Any citizen who is currently receiving Welfare, Medicaid, CareSource, or Food Stamps benefits is ineligible to vote.
3. Any citizen who has not paid net federal income taxes for three consecutive years is ineligible to vote.
Hope I don’t sound too harsh, but it’s time to let the people who have skin in the game call the shots, and for people who contribute nothing to shut the hell up.
If Ayers wants anarchy, let there be anarchy. The purges are coming.
I hope everyone has been brushing up on their skills. One winter without food will solve a lot of problems. (I bet no one will ever complain about Global Warming again)
Too bad we can’t say the same about my homestate, Wisconsin. The judge threw out the complaint of voter fraud.
You can count on the dems winning Wisconsin. They managed to already steal this election.
DarthRove, I am OK with all but the food stamp thing… one should not loose their vote for loosing their job… think of the potential abuse.
No matter who wins in November, I hope for the best while preparing for the worst.
I do carry sometimes, I will start carrying all the time.
Agree with concepts in #34. Add drug-testing to the mix…
I call BS to this “confusion”. They need to be made an example of if we are to fully trust the voting system currently in place. Fraud is rampant and is so because the left knows that if they flood with registrations, byt the time anyone thinks to do anything about it, it will be after the fact, and no one will want to go through a Constitutional crisis (Thanks Al Gore!). They’ve never been held accountable for this intentional fraud and it doesn’t look like anyone wants to start. Sickening – cowards who won’t enforce the laws.
Needless to say, by not challenging, and prosecuting these offenses, we are creating the very crisis we expect to avoid.
Confusion my a$$. They knew what they were doing and should be prosecuted – and even if they didn’t know (which is extremely unlikely), IGNORANCE OF THE LAW IS NOT A DEFENSE.
unless you’re a friggin liberal POS apparently.
At the very least, those who orchestrated the fraud should be in federal prison.
Whatever happened to “ignorance of the law is no excuse?” These punks clearly and willfully violated the law. I’d like to see their rear ends in jail for attempting to undermine one of the single most important aspects of our government, i.e. the right to free and fair elections.
DarthRove, I’ve been thinking along the same lines. Why do we allow children to vote? My daughter is a 17 y/o high school senior, a member of the Young Republican’s Club & going to graduate in the top 10% of a very large class at a highly competetive academic school. As bright as she is, she still isn’t experienced enough for me to trust her to vote. Many of her classmates are 18, & are easily manipulated. Who am I kidding? Some of them are just downright stupid. The kind that thinks fashion or celebrity are important, & gets sucked into voting on emotions & not on facts or world experience.
Another requirement to vote should be the simple knowledge of the country we live in. An easy test like, “Who is the current POTUS”, and “What country is this”" would weed out a lot of idiots. And they can’t write the answers on the palm of their hand, either!
Anyone over the age of 18 with a valid ID should be allowed to vote. My issue is with absentee balloting.
Take away the rights of those who you disagree with, and you’re no better than thugs we’re dealing with now.
Woo Hoooo They need to check if there are anymore houses like this…

Well actually they did obviously conspire & act in concert.
Perhaps we should go green on this… it is only natural that acorns should be hanging from the branches of oak trees.
They sure have- it’s like winning a Nobel prize; it’s a political statement.
Chesa Boudin got one.http://www.slate.com/?id=2075224
Um, s’cuse this dumb country bumpkin, bitterly clinging to my religion and gun, but since when is either ignorance of or confusion regarding the law any excuse?
“Oh, gee Officer, I didn’t realize that 120 MPH was against the law on this freeway. I must have been confused!”
I guess anything goes now in Franklin County, Ohio. You just need to be ‘confused’.
If I was the parent of one of these “confused” Rhodes, Marshall or Truman Scholars you can bet some schools would be getting about cutting some checks and getting my money back to me. Seems a really clear case of breach of contract. I would see it as paying for an education the idio..um chhiillddrreenn didn’t get. I mean, obviously the CHIILLDDRREEEN aren’t to blame. Are they?
/sarcoff
What do you think is going to happen when McCain wins the election? The masses have already been told by the media that Barack’s (that starts with a ‘B’, by the way) won the election. He’s getting ready to party down, right? Well, if those nasty voters actual don’t hand over their
walletsballots and give it up for The One, they’re gonna burn the town down, y’all. Hey, can’t blame ‘em. CNN’s already blessed it. Just pull up the video of James Carville. He’s warning ‘em.now let’s see those that committed the voter fraud be stripped of their citizenship and then prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law….
I just hate to think of the Dallas Cowboys being disenfranchised in so many places……GO PACK GO.
I wonder how many other places these 12 little darlings lived in, registered from and voted the same day . No doubt, their Dem daddies have them in Cancun for the duration.
Re-he-heally! Scholars? Puh-leeze!
The above quote is too much like the now infamous, “He was just a guy that lived in my neighborhood.”
I suspect that a careful investigation of the activites of these “confused” students will uncover some associations with the MDS, or SDS.
Is it just me, or does this sound alot like the Obama platform?
Ignorance of the law is one thing–in many voter fraud cases, I wouldn’t be surprised if the issue truly was ignorance.
However, in this case, the students set up an organization specifically designed to recruit voters–one would think that they should have some knowledge of voter registration laws.
On another note, to willie peter–advocating the formation of a violent paramilitary group to deal with what is, at worst, a low-level felony is patently absurd. Those on the left try to portray conservatives as violent nuts enough without you giving them fuel for the fire.
Hubris
The only valid reason for giving the vote to anyone under 21 would be that they are in the service of their nation. Therefore, I think the Constitution should be amended to return the voting age to 21 with the exception of anyone under age 21 who has served in the Armed Services for at least one year.
Lots of problems solved with a simple, fair change.
Didn’t these twelve come from states which Obama would win? And, the reason they went to Ohio was to be able to vote in a swing state where their vote may make a difference? If I’ve understood this correctly all along, they gave up their right to vote in their home state in order to register in Ohio. So if this is correct… these 12 scholars will end up NOT getting to vote at all because they can’t re-register in their home state in time for November 4th. LOL
I think FC Pros. Ron O’Brien should “throw the book” at the 12 of them. Anyone even thinking of any voter hankey-pankey like this should realize this is a serious felony offense not worth pursuing.

Uhhh, we don’t carve up little girls faces for daring to oppose the one… perhaps if they took us more seriously this would not have happened??
What charges have been filed against these frauds?
“Mighty OAFS from little ACORNS grow.”

Well, the laugh is likely to be on us. I suspect these frauds will engage in more fraud in their home states, by voting as someone else.
Brooklyn Red:
Not sure what you mean by ‘they’ or ‘us’–seems to me that anyone would would do that doesn’t take the criminal justice system seriously enough.
If someone actually did carve that woman’s face, I would hope they are prosecuted and have the book thrown at them. I’m not advocating we coddle people who break the law.
I am saying that it seems a bit much to advocate forming a paramilitary group to deal with voter fraud. That doesn’t seem like a particularly tenuous position to take.
Who knows how many other states this gang of 12 is registered in? Why do we assume they ever intended to vote just once? Pretty obviously they were intent on committing voter fraud. What reason do we have to suspect their only target was Ohio?
vargas said:

Well, I would argue that voter fraud is exactly why the 2nd amendment exists. Look, it come to a point where enough is enough.
The Franklin County, OH Sherrif has a contact page here. I’ll be emailing my demand that charges be filed against these obviously intelligent voter fraud liars.
Please forgive my ignorance, but isn’t Oxford University in England, not New England?
These people too would…disappear.
This article, Voting Fraud in Nashville, also links to the Democratic Party web site to show the party’s position on identification:
“we oppose laws that require identification in order to vote or register to vote”
Ignorance of the law is not a defense. I would press this they may need to use it after the election is over, and voter fraud is suspected – well documented.
I haven’t read all the responses…but I wonder if there is a way to cross-check a lot of other “key battleground” states for their registrations. I have a sneaking suspicion that these “smart kids” have registered in multiple states, then did the early voting in each state. Vote early, vote often…put to reality.
Seriously…do states cross-check their voting rolls versus other states? I sort of doubt it, considering how relatively incompetent many states are about even checking with their own DMV records. What’s to stop these kids from registering in every critical state, in an attempt to change the vote.
I’m curious. Can anyone cite a legitimate reason why we should NOT have a federal law requiring a legal photo ID be presented in order to cast a vote?
I don’t believe in the liberal argument that it will “disenfranchise potential voters.” Disenfranchise how? The law-abiding citizens of the U.S. will have no problem voting, and should fear not!
So far, I have only heard the above argument as it refers to African-Americans who are afraid of law enforcement, and Latinos who are afraid of what, exactly? If a federal law requiring a valid I.D. to vote, and the potential voters are law-abiding, and citizens of the U.S., then wouldn’t this address their concerns? Or is it a fact that the Democrats are afraid some of their voter base will be negatively effected by the legal status requirement?
Wouldn’t this requirement eliminate much of the fraud concerns from both parties?
Bloomberg has managed to change NY State law and now will be able to run for Mayor for yet another term. Wait for Obama to one-up him and make himself president for life.
I see your confused, nuance and hubris, and raise you an audacity.
Your proposal would get my vote.
Curse you all… with the audicity of your nuanced confusion. I have been saving the word ‘hubristic‘ for the past two days – just waiting for the proper thread to lay it at your feet for you all to gaze upon it in awe as you reflect upon the savant that I am. CSPAN is not for mere mortals…
Lay off Red Eye, those Guttfeldalogues will rot your brain.
And if you disagree with me, then you sir are worse than Hitler.
This is a willful, heinous assault on liberty. Nothing short of JAIL TIME is acceptable. NOTHING.
After the ACORN fraud investigation, can we get on to the massive financing fraud going on in Obama’s camp?
THANK YOU Palestra! Now what about all the out-of-state college types from places like NY who register to vote in swing-states like Ohio, where they only attend college? Do they also register in NY, etc. at Mom & Dad’s address? Or, do they only register to vote with ACORN – America of Communists Only Right Now!
Thank you, Palestra. Not bad for a bunch of people who probably don’t get paid as much as the, uh, pros.
Darth! I love it! Where do we start putting this on the ballot?
So they were planning to use absentee ballots to vote from out of state. That begs the question: If an ACORN voting fraud specialist gets Mickey Mouse and the Dallas Cowboys registered and then requests absentee ballots, is any checking done to verify that “Mickey Mouse” is an eligible voter? It seems to me that if someone can successfully register fake names, they can also vote multiple times using those fake names if they use absentee ballots. Is there anything in place to prevent that?
#11, O’Brien is a Republican. I can’t imagine with all the vote fraud going on in Ohio why he would refuse to prosecute.
13 Lousy votes. They are all happy as a pig in excretement. They probably have hundreds if not thousands of votes using this shady method. Only 13 were caught. They are now lying low so all the others won’t be brought to light.
Are they fully cooperating with Law enforcement? Is the investigation over?
