Barney Frank’s America

Higher taxes? Check.
Massive new spending? Check.
Military cuts? Check.
Stimulus czar? Check.
Expanded government role in health care? Checkity-check-check-check.
And just in time for another global stock slide.
Welcome to Barney Frank’s America:
After the November election, Democrats will push for a second economic stimulus package that includes money for the states’ stalled infrastructure projects, along with help paying for healthcare expenses, food stamps and extended unemployment benefits, U.S. Rep. Barney Frank said Thursday.
In a meeting with the editorial board of The Standard-Times, Rep. Frank, D-Mass., also called for a 25 percent cut in military spending, saying the Pentagon has to start choosing from its many weapons programs, and that upper-income taxpayers are going to see an increase in what they are asked to pay.
The military cuts also mean getting out of Iraq sooner, he said.
“The people of Iraq want us out, and we want to stay over their objection,” he said. “It’s extraordinary.” The Maliki government in Iraq “can’t sell (the withdrawal deal with the U.S.) because it sounds like we’re going to stay too long.”
“I was teasing (U.S. Rep.) Jack Murtha (a key supporter of military budgets) and I said to him, ‘For the first time, somebody else has got a bill that’s almost as big as yours.’ We don’t need all these fancy new weapons. I think there needs to be additional review.”
Rep. Frank called on President Bush to appoint a senior official to guide the economic stimulus packages through the transition to the Barack Obama or John McCain administration when it takes office in January…
…Also, he said, “we’ll increase the federal share of medical care so states won’t have to lay off people.” Unemployment insurance benefits won’t increase, he said, but the period of collecting them will, and eligibility requirements might be relaxed.
And, ultimately, there will be tax increases on the upper brackets. “We’ll have to raise taxes ultimately. Not now, but eventually,” he said.

BOSTON, Oct. 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA), Chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Financial Services Committee, will receive a national award and deliver an acceptance speech on October 28 during the National Housing & Rehabilitation Association (NH&RA) Fall Developers Forum at the Langham Hotel in Boston.
NH&RA will recognize Congressman Frank by presenting him with the NH&RA 2008 Affordable Housing Vision Award. The award presentation and speech will take place at a 12:30 p.m. luncheon at the hotel. Local real estate developer Larry Curtis, WinnDevelopment, will also be presented with a 2008 NH&RA Vision Award at that time.
National Housing & Rehabilitation Association instituted its Annual Affordable Housing Vision Awards in 2004 to honor affordable housing and community development leaders for their invaluable contributions and years of dedication to providing affordable apartments to American families.
The occasion marks the fifth time the annual NH&RA Vision Award has been presented. “We’re delighted to recognize two outstanding individuals – Barney Frank and Larry Curtis – who have immeasurably improved the lives of countless low-income families,” said Peter H. Bell, Executive Director of NH&RA. “By working tirelessly to ensure the creation and preservation of high-quality, affordable apartments for low- to moderate-income households in Massachusetts and elsewhere, these two leaders have bettered the lives of countless individuals and families, giving them a secure place–a home–where they can prosper, grow and contribute to their community.”
Barney Frank was first elected to Congress in 1981. Throughout his tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives, Rep. Frank has been an outspoken advocate and a leading voice on affordable housing issues. Congressman Frank played a critical role in the creation of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit in 1986, the country’s most effective tool for the creation of affordable rental housing. More recently, as chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, Congressman Frank was instrumental in the creation and passage of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, a measure that provides critical improvements to our nation’s affordable housing delivery system, as well as on passage of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008.
Rep. Frank is also an outspoken advocate on civil rights issues. He has often been referred to as the “brainiest,” “funniest” and “most eloquent” member of the House…

National Housing & Rehabilitation Association (NH&RA) In a just world these people would be lawyering up not bragging.
It’s the taxpayers who work tirelessly to fund these boondoggles. Give us the award.
The only thing Bahwee Fwank works for tirelessly is scoring more boy-booty. If Bahwee is looking for overfunded programs to cut, let’s start with AIDS research.
Can’t say I wasn’t warned. good grief,
“fannie and freddie are fine and the Feds wouldnt bail them out anyway”
barney frank
and then came the bailout must have whiners, dems are unreal pathetic.
His twisted view is communist inspired socialism versus American Made Capitalism.
Barney Frank’s america wouldn’t last long. God lets societies rise and fall – and the society Frank desires has failed EVERY time in the past. Sodom, Gomorah, Rome all come to mind immediately concerning immoral lifestyles. Economically, one need look no further than any of the centrally planned economies of the 20th century. NONE of them are successful. Militarily, you only have to observe the world around you – weakness always gets overrun. Strength generally tends to not ever be actually needed to be used.
Yep – B Frank’s society is/would be a failure.
The One (who we all know is a moderate) has not even been coronated and already the libs in Congress seek to undermine him.
How can The One fulfill his promises to grow our military (even larger than the wrinkly old guy promised) and win the Real War in Afghanistan if the libs cut the military by 25%?
The One needs to zap Bawney with a lightning bolt as a warning to all libs that he will not tolerate defiance.
Unfortunately, it’s not just Barney by a long shot, worst — it seems most Americans don’t mind us turning into Socialist America. They say “so what?” That’s the scarest thing of all!
The smug almost giddy pro-Obama glee of _all_ the “neutral” reporters and anchors on MSNBC is disgusting. Infectious Chris Matthews is having orgasms as you watch.
America, do you hate Bush THAT much???
James Greenidge

A Thompson man forced to vote McCain to keep a socialist monster in his cage.
Reasons to vote Obama:
I want to be part of history!
I don’t want to feel like a bigot.
President McCain wrecked the economy!
You forgot to mention the nationalization of the 401K accounts. I read that on Rightwing news:
http://rightwingnews.com/mt331/2008/10/house_democrats_aim_to_remove.php?comments=show#c204394
Picturing Barney Frank biting a pillow as he contemplates defense-spending cuts makes me wonder what sane adult could vote for Obama. McCain is the only person between us and the swift downward spiral. Obama is so stupid I know he’ll go for this idiotic idea of ending 401(k) plans in favor of an anemic, non-market-based government pension. Pass out the diapers and pacifiers, Obama and big government will nursemaid us. I can’t wait to see how these idiots set our energy policy back two decades.
“Barney Frank’s America” is interchangable with “Hugo Chávez’s Venezuela”.
Barney Frank is the reason to fight life and limb for term limits.
For any who have not read it, especially the media, Reagan Democrats, and staying home Republicans, I suggest that actually read Obama’s alleged plans for our military.
I’ll point out just a few highlights that shows something isn’t jiving between Bawney Frank and The One:
Somebody is lying (and I think it is not Bawney).
zorro said it:
People do not believe it, but BHO is the communist in the room along with many coming out of the closet in more ways than one.
It seems we have reached the tipping point where there are more people not only paying little or no income tax, but actually receiving a handout for not paying income tax. These people are happy with getting something for nothing, with feeling they have scammed the system.
Until things get bad enough that the government has to cut back the handouts, or the economy has made them worthless, there will be no change of dirrection in our rapid ride downhill.
It doesn’t matter anymore who gets elected. Both trains head down the same tunnel – one just gets there a little faster than the other.
If it were up to me, you would have to bring your 1040 with you to vote. Those who pay the bills should be the one to make the rules.
SERIOUSLY–Why do the people of Mass. continue to vote for this man? Are they stupid? What is the deal?
I have to say that pure idiocy is required to give an award to one of the main founders of today’s housing breakdown and a future-father of the destruction of the last hope of planet earth – The United States of America.
Am I wrong here? A society of morons getting together and awarding an equally un-astute moron for making their lives more financially volatile.
God don’t let me sit on the same toilet as those dopes; it might be catchin’.
This guy would have been fired long ago if he had been out in the real world. Come on MA voters, get rid of this guy before it’s his turn to run for POTUS.
And we’ve managed to place people in a position of power who think this way. Good grief. We are facing a clear and present danger and it is emanating from people who occupy the Capitol building.
Encore.
Michelle-
You said it wrong. It’s “Bawney Fwank’s Amewica”
(Cue Elmer Fudd here)
Barney
Go help your boyfriend run his male prostitution service and stay out of my pocket.
Not sure if anyone watches, but to me he sounds like Jimmy from South Park.
You know, it wasn’t long ago that I was opposed to term limits. My logic was that we already had them in the form of elections.
Now? My opinion is changing.
I like the idea as much as the system proposed by Starship Troopers: Only Citizens get the vote and you aren’t a Citizen unless you have served.
I’ve had the pleasure (sarcasm) of being within earshot of women who were on welfare having a conversation. The gist of the discussion is that welfare is free money. I honestly do not think that they have any idea where it comes from nor do they care. They’ve simply come to rely on Democrats and their promises to take care of them.
I grew up in the ‘hood and there wasn’t anything redeeming about it. I have no idea as to why people would cling to living in squalor, crime-ridden neighborhoods and collecting welfare checks and somehow conclude that they are living on top of the world. And the temerity to suggest that it’s the white man that’s keeping them down yet never make the connection between their decisions and people they vote for in droves is mindnumbing.
For the libs out there who don’t see anything wrong with socialism and the inherent misery-free-for-all that comes along with it, think ghettos and consider why you stay away from them. That is what the whole of America will resemble. I know I’ll be dismissed as fear-mongering but I just ask that you see socialism through to its logical conclusion.
Hurray
And then my suggestion on the 1040 is that each individual gets a little “pie chart” that they can fill in the allocations to different items. (Note to libs, this pie can only equal 100%).
I would love to see term limits, but they won’t happen while so many are waiting for their government handouts. The large number getting something for nothing have already had their votes paid for with our money.
I have a friend, a single woman, who was by no means wealthy, but who had a good job and supported herself. She rented a nice townhouse close to her widowed mother’s house. Her mother lived in a middle-class neighborhood, where big trees and well-tended lawns and gardens were the order of things.
Then the government stepped in, and began using taxpayer dollars to subsidize the rent for “low- to moderate-income households” so they too could live in the “high-quality” apartments where my friend resided.
Soon there were increased reports of burglaries and muggings in her mother’s neighborhood. Some homes were broken into two and three times. Then my friend’s mother was assaulted in her own driveway in the middle of the day. My friend bought a townhouse miles away, and moved her mother in with her.
Fast forward a couple of years. The mother died, and my friend couldn’t sell the house, so she moved into it and sold her townhouse. Big mistake! Gone were the middle-class neighbors. Gangs now ruled the neighborhood. Sometimes they raced their cars through the streets, shooting at each other. My friend’s house was burglarized three times. After the third time, in which she surprised the burglar in action, the police told her she was lucky to be alive.
My friend sold her house at far below its value, and moved across the state line into Mississippi.
And Barney Frank gets an award.
Frank, like his purple dinosaur counterpart, are cartoonish in many ways. TV persona, buffoon, exaggerated and surreal, they exist within a narrow, controlled realm. An experiment and bad one at that.
Set free to live and survive in the *real* world according to his ideals, Frank would quickly become extinct from his own unsustainable folly. I suggest we honor the dishonorable Barney by naming a tar pit after him.
Compared to Gary Studds, he’s a boyscout.
I just finished reading a few of Thomas Jefferson’s papers on Republicanism. He was a man of profound courage and eloquence. How, after all these years of a being a sovereign country did we end up with Barney Frank.
WHO IS
Corrupt
Dishonest
Uneducated
Morally bankrupt
Perverse
Economically illiterate
A piece of disgustingly putrid useless slim.
This is awesome! Crash the most powerful economy on the planet and get an award!
All I can think of is how Hitler had Ernst Rohm, Leader of the SA, quietly wacked because he was a homosexual.
That quote is a good example of how far we have fallen as a country.
GEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!!
Seveneleventy said: “Compared to Gary Studds, he’s a boyscout.”
So what you’re saying is that there are no uncorrupted in the state of Massachusetts? I find that hard to believe. I was there vacationing this June and met the nicest folks at a 5k run. They must be embarrassed by this man. Will no one step up to challenge him? I’d think they’d win in a land slide.
Fat pig is integral in destroying this country, installing socialism and can’t even speak properly, and they call him eloquent and give him an award.
This is the socialist elite, this is exactly the sort of thing they do. Exactly.
MOST ELOQUENT????????????????????
GEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!
My God. I swear I don’t recognize this country anymore. At least not what the elites put into prints or on the air. I’m telling you, we have been fat, dumb, and happy and the crooks in DC have run this country into the ground. It’s been easy not to examine DC under a microscope when we’ve been prosperous, but here we are in the middle of a freaking catastrophe and now it’s very plain to see.
But, by gosh, I can see the crooks now! Barney Frank is one of them and I cannot believe he’s getting an award! What is wrong with those people?
Can Barney Frank make it through another election? I pray not!!!! I realize MA is a liberal state, but surely even they are sick to death of this joker.
If nothing else, I want McCain to be POTUS and kick their asses.
And by the way… does Frank have teeth? What a sickening f’er.
ChiefRZ (#13) said it best…. these butt-heads are socialist/communist perpetrators (Traitors) and they are feeling bold enough to “come out of the closet”. I hope all the kool-aid drinkers wake up and see this. What a toothless tool this guy is and those that support him are twits and fools. The biggest joke on capitol hill is that the very thieves who started this financial debacle are the very ones holding the “hearings” on just WHO started it. I can’t believe the American people are willing to bend over and take it…
Barney Frank’s America..
A chicken in every Pot…
and a Gay Bathhouse on every corner.
Those two articles had so many puke-worthy items in it I may never get my office clean. The last line really was the kicker that is going to make the clean-up so difficult;
By who? The New York Times?
The way things are looking now, this is going to be a long, painful four years. I may have to stop reading/watching the news altogether to avoid the expensive clean-ups afterward.
His lips are numb.
Didn’t Barney Frank have a sexual relationship with some guy on either the Freddie or Fannie board?
Where’s the ethics hearing on that?
And those Dems just love a socialist society don’t they? Are there enough conservatives left to fight them?
What a fraud! Barney and his lackeys tank our economy so “That One” can get elected. This was all planned out, after the last two elections the left decided that this would be the only way to beat the conservatives. Has anyone been watching these hearings on Capitol Hill the past couple of weeks? The rhetoric stinks to high heaven. Not one mention on how the Bush administration and other top conservative voices were trying to warn of the Fannie/Freddie mess. Liberals knew something like this would happen.. hell, they planned it!
I thank God for the few conservatives who have demanded a hearing on Fannie and Freddie but the liberals, who control the agenda, say hey we’ll look into after “That One” is elected. Riiiiight! I saw a survey the other day that 60% of the respondents still think the conservatives are the majority on Capitol Hill. No wonder everyone thinks the conservatives are at fault here. Pelosi, Reid and the gang have had two years to fix this and all they have done is taken the controls and deliberately tanked our economy.
Just think if McCain had voted no for this Bailout er pardon me Rescue Bill. The stock market continues to tank and all we hear now is it will take time. Well we don’t have have time. Today looks to be the crash everyone expected. Wasn’t it the liberals who said if we didn’t do anything we would see a crash like we’ve never seen before? Well in a hlaf hour we’re about to watch the Dow tank to 7500. The liberals have created this mess and now they want us to believe that they are the only ones who can solve it. What a total crock of smelly poo!
This award to Barney is just another way to avoid the nasty hearings of the liberal hacks who kept saying, “All is well! No need to panic, Franklin Raines is doing a fine job” When in reality they knew what was going to happen and now they are perceived as the knights in shining armor to the rescue.
Hope everyone is full of hope and change as your 401k’s are taken over by the government and controlled by the very same people who created this mess. Hope and change is about all you will have left in your pockets if “That One” is elected. With full majorities the liberals will control the government for generations to come. Legislation from the courts, Legislation to control what you do, say or spend your money on. I can’t wait to hear the MSM in June of next year, when “That One” has taken control of the internet, airwaves and newspapers and the media says, geez we were wrong all along. “That One” is a socialist! Like Emily Latella on SNL use to say…”Never Mind!” but it will be too late!
Get out and vote for common sense and decency, please! If the conservatives can control the agenda on Capitol Hill at least in one branch, we can hold the folks that created this mess accountable. if not, these liberal idiots will be reaping the rewards for many years to come as we see our hard earned dollars go to Washington. I want to keep my Hope and Change so I am NOT voting for “That One”
Bawney’s Phwank should stay in his basement. Who would actually give this loon a job?
“most eloquent”
“most eloquent”
I’ve listened to more eloquent speakers at the local Grange hall, on the subject of pig and chicken manure composting.
We need to compost Frank.
(hurl) (retch) (barf) (ralph) (chuck) (toss) (heave) (spew) (puke) I think my body is trying to tell me something.
At 8:50 am, gayle said:
“His lips are numb.”
ROFLMAO
“funniest” is he? I guess the joke is on us. With Waxman, Pelosi and such in the House, Dingy Harry, Feinstein and Schumar in the Senate I was thinking how uniformly nasty and rude the Democratic Party leadership is.
As Congress is continuously coming up with weapons programs the military does not want that one might be doable–”just don’t cut any programs in my district or my donors support”. Use the savings to build bath houses and extend Queer Theory to the first grade.

Financial meltdowns are a Republican specialty. Nixon-Ford brought “stagflation” that was finally brought under control by Carter/Volker. The S&L crisis was created by Reagan and played out under Bush, Sr. The current lending crisis is the Bush, Jr. final gift to America. Then there’s the “Big One” that happened under Hoover’s watch.
If you refuse to cook, get out of the kitchen. If you refuse to govern, get out of Washington.
lgm is one of dear Barney’s devoted backers.
LGM …. Your really are an IDOT!!!!
LGM Rewriting history is his speciality.
You are CLEARLY on drugs fool.
Carter was the architect of Stagflation and the demise of our foreign policy… which by the way, started with JFK’s weakness with dealing with the Soviets.
Get a clue please. Your Red Herring lies just don’t fly.
lgm – I’ll just pick one. Please explain how the S&L crisis was created by Reagan.
That’s a special kind of stupid, but you already knew that, didn’t you?
LGM has had too many hours in Barney’s bathhouses.
Pelosi, Franks, Reid, Obama, Biden.
How is it the USA is being run by the lowest common denominator?
Would you have any of the above run your condo association?
Of the above Franks is the most clueless with Pelosi ranking a close second.
Ah, now I see why Biden was warning everyone that the one would be tested by foriegn powers and that people would be saying I cant believe you made that decision….he was telling us about the 25% cut to the military.
LGM- you forgot about CLinton’s Internet Bubble that made the economy look oh so great till it burst.
LGM: When someone comes out and says this party is the only one who caused this or other economic messes, I know they are folls and not worth talking to. This crisis was caused by thousands of bad loans. It took decades to get to this point. That includes both DNC and GOP leadership so shove your partisan BS.
LGM.…..Go back to teaching your math class how to fail in this world.
Cool, cutting military spending in a time of war. That is change. It has the advatage of never been tried before. At least by any nation that won the said war.
Please tell me someone is running against Barney Frank.
Gee, that crap sandwich tastes great!
Does Shrub even have the gumption to fire Paulson?
It would be nice to see Barney in handcuffs for his lies about Fannie and Freddie. If it can be shown that he knew or should have known just how bad things were, during the audit, then he should do time.
LOTS of time.
I have no issue whatsoever with people criticizing him for things he’s done in office or for having a boyfriend who ran a gay prostitution business out of his apartment, but do people have to make disparaging comments about the simple fact that he’s gay? Surely there are more and better things to rip apart.
Nah, this will all be blamed on republicans. Mark my words, everything will be bushes fault for at least 8 years.
Two old saying I always take to heart… You get the government you deserve, and elections have consequences… If the DEMS have control of the HOUSE, the SENATE and the WHITE HOUSE after January, you better buckle up, it’ going to be a bumpy ride… However, if you believe like i do that MSM is trying to give this election to the DEMS through HYPERBOLE, then get to the POLLS, your vote will count… Do not fall for the CRAP that it’s all over, and in the bag for B. HUSSEIN… It AIN’T!!!
Frank is a sick idealogue and this fallacy of “affordable housing” and “community redevelopment” is rampant everywhere. HUD extorts Cities and Counties all over the country with threats to withdraw federal funds if they don’t agree to 15% benchmarks in new development of “affordable housing units”. When you combine that untenable requirement with the thuggery pushed on banks to show up to 50% of their lending portfolio in high-risk mortgages to low-income borrowers, there is no wonder the housing market and economic situation in America has collapsed. These requirements have been allowed to skate under the radar for years and years. It’s the slow drip of socialist lending policies and now we’re being forced to pay the evil piper while Barney Frank gets a freakin’ plaque!
VICKISOUP, don’t worry, it will be all over in less than 3 years when the country goes bankrupt. Enjoy the coming civil war/dictatorship.
The only ones left in their homes will be the very rich, who can afford sky-high taxes, or the very poor, who got their houses for free.
Congratulations, President Obama; welcome to Venezuela!
What? Carter brought stagflation under control? Wage and price controls which did not work, oil embargo made worse by Excess Profits tax, 22% interest rates, increasing high unemployment and the highest inflation rate of the century Carter? That Carter Administration?
And ole Jimmies finest quote of all:
I guess some people just lie as a matter of course. Go visit Tehran and tell us how it is done. But I do see how YOU would like ole Jimmie. Have a peanut.
—
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
The Dems have all these benevolent causes they want funded with other people’s money. Chartiable giving should be voluntary, not forced.
Do they put their own money where their mouth is? If Joe Biden is any example, with only $3000.00+ in charitable donations over a 9 or 10 year period, I’d say no.
No one is preventing all these wealthy liberals from donating money or voluntarily paying additional taxes if they so choose. The only time they appear charitable is when they are funding liberal causes they support. Rarely do they give to those truly in need.
LGM,
Besides your faulty history, based on the Constitution’s structure, how did all of these things happen during a long period when the Congress was controlled by Democrats?
There is always this liberal premise of the President as Supreme Ruler. I believe we have a division of power and checks and balances in our system or was I alseep when the coup occured 40 years ago?
Example, Cliton gets credit for Welfare Reform. Why? He vetoed it three times and finally signed (kicking and screaming) on the fourth bill passed by a REPUBLICAN Congress.
Well sonofdy, perhaps the one can stop the other. Enjoy? I think not, but necessary perhaps. Are you prepared? It is never over as long as one Free Man is standing.
Our history does go back to Concord/Lexington, Valley Forge and so many more.
Take note America: a vote for Obama means Pelosi, Reid and Frank will have UNFETTERED control of your government – and your potential to earn.
Is electing Obama worth risking your family’s and your nation’s future just to prove to the world that the U.S. is not racist?
Law of unintended consequences. By trying to artificially increase the standard of living through gov’t giveaways, they ended up destroying once thriving neighborhoods. People never appreciate something given to them as much as they do something they worked for. Idiot libs base decisions on emotions and short term results, but never follow through to the logical conclusion of their acts.
Actually this award makes perfect sense! Barney Frank HAS done more to create AFFORDABLE housing than ANYONE! His policy of destroying confidence in the mortgage lending system is leading to the largest drop in home prices in the history of this country! Clearly, this makes all housing more AFFORDABLE!!
Lets see how that worked, Dow down 5757 points. Well worth an award
How about increasing the states share so the feds will have to lay off people!
there
Don’t respond to lgm. He’s proof that liberalism/socialism is a mental illness. What is really scary is that the Kos kids are worse.
Pretend he’s not here.
I’m becoming increasingly concerned that the only way to reverse this sudden fraudulent imposition of national socialism will be for millions of gun owners to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights in exactly the manner the Founders foresaw they might have to.
We’re getting dangerously close to Leninism here, folks.
We all try to be pleasant social non-abrasive people. It’s time for confrontation. Try an experiment folks. The next time any of your liberal friends defends the likes of Frank, look them strait in their eyes and tell them they are absolutely completely unequivocally WRONG. You may lose a friend but you will gain some pride. Frank’s political positions are indefensible.
ooooooo yuk
The scary part of that statement is that it would some how make sense to a liberal mind.
Some closets should have locks….
I get your ironic point, but you know what? Because of the increase in my taxes that is promised by the Obama campaign, the house that I’m currently affording becomes less affordable for me. That is the unfairness of this whole thing.
Barney would like to see Barney in handcuffs!
Well, as has been pointed out before, elections have consequences. The Democrats are being perfectly up front about what they intend to do, and if the American people votes them in anyway then they should be expected to follow their agenda.
What really pisses me off though is that our side of the aisle refuses to do the same thing. For six years Republicans controlled the White House and Congress. Six freaking years! Where’s my national right to carry law? Social security privatization? Why do the departments of energy and education still exist? Where’s my smaller government?
Where?!?!!?!?
The Liberals are energetic and ruthless in implementing their policies when they’re able to. Why the hell aren’t we?
Obama’s hero Bill Ayres sure followed the law and the agenda of elected representatives. I guess conservatives should follow Obama the same way…
Only on a four poster bed.
Like so many in history that had power the Republicans too were afraid of loosing it and like has happened so many times in history their very fear came true because they were afraid to act.
“Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the people’s liberty teeth (and) keystone… the rifle and the pistol are equally indispensable… more than 99% of them [guns] by their silence indicate that they are in safe and sane hands. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference [crime]. When firearms go, all goes, we need them every hour.” George Washington: (Address to 1st session of Congress)
