The increasingly erratic, super-gaffetastic Biden was so upset that the campaign canceled an interview West’s station had scheduled with his wife, Jill. The Orlando Sentinel reports:
Why did Barack Obama’s campaign cancel a WFTV-Channel 9 interview with Jill Biden, wife of Sen. Joe Biden? The campaign cited “an unprofessional interview” WFTV’s Barbara West did Thursday with Joe Biden. In a statement Friday, Adrianne Marsh, Florida spokeswoman for Obama’s campaign, said the station, in talking with Sen. Biden, was “both combative and woefully uninformed about simple facts.” Marsh said West’s insistence that Obama was an organizer for ACORN was “100 percent false.” “In a line of questioning that would make Rush Limbaugh proud, West even went as far as to quote Karl Marx, a Communist icon, in a disturbing attempt to associate Barack Obama with socialism,” Marsh wrote. West said, “I think I asked him some pointed questions. . . . I don’t think I was rude or inconsiderate to him.”
She was completely professional and gracious.
But remember: Anything less than total sycophancy from the Obamedia is considered “combative.”

Dropped off some clothes and bed linens at our stake center today in support of some kid’s Eagle Scout project. The parking lot was just packed. They had a huge rental truck they were taking the donations in.
It made me feel better to see people turning out on an ugly, rainy day to help out an Eagle Scout and make some charity. It made me feel like we’ll get through four years of Obamunism. We’ll make it.
I am just amazed at Joe he is the gift that just keeps on giving. Barbara West asked some of the first legitimate questions I have heard from a member of the MSM. If anything she was extremely professional and polite. I fear for her and WFTV should the empty suit and master of gaffes come to power the retribution will be swift and quite brutal.

I agree. But I think you are outnumbered by the folks who went screaming in another direction. I think the conservative base would have voted against Obama no matter what. McCain should have picked somebody like Ridge or Guiliani who could have brought in more independents/moderates, and not scared so many Republicans away. Even if you believe the media is responsible for making Palin look like an a$$, and raising her unfavorablity ratings, they couldn’t have done that to a Ridge, Guiliani, Leiberman ect….

We were Romney supporters here in this part of Florida. McCain’s choosing Palin has fired up the base and people are excited. Everyone I know, and I know a lot of Florida Republicans, are thrilled about Palin and fired up. In all due respect, you are flat wrong about this issue.
I agree she should have expected the same ole spin and countered with some facts. A good example was the 800k Obama has given to ACORN. She should have waved the documentation into the camera and called them on it. A simple thing like that can change an election.

MJ – You’re wrong on that count. McCain gained back a lot of his base upon nominating Sarah Palin. Many, many of us would not have voted for him. Many still aren’t because he is the same RINO he always was. But Sarah is the real thing. Many will now vote for him who would not have before. His campaign was totally stuck prior to her nomination.
I was not planning to vote for him, and had he picked Leiberman, Guiliani or Ridge… nothing could have made me do it.
Even his piok of Palin does not count me in on his game. Although, she has improved the ticket enough that I may sway for it in the end. I’m swayed more by the voter fraud and perpetual lies spewing from Camp Obama and the KOSkids, etc.
Personally, I see an extremely divided America that can no longer peacefully coexist. I think civil war is coming and I am okay with that. I wish it didn’t have to come to that, but I don’t see any way around it at this time.
But regardless of what happens, I know the ultimate outcome, and I know who wins and will take over the government when the time is right. And that is Jesus Christ. What a glorious day that will be. And then we will have a true and lasting peace.

Sorry, but this falls into the same category as the kind of things you would hear on The View. I think we are better than that. His grandmother is probably the one person who helped him gain some stability, and saw to it that he got a good education. He may have seen and spoken to her for the last time, and it’s a tragedy no matter your politics. If anyone saw him walking alone in the photos, that’s the street he and his grandmother would have taken to the grocery store – and I’m sure the memories were strong and sad.
Sorry, I totally dislike his politics, but there’s no reason to stoop to the level of the people who trashed Palin’s family.

I have watched footage of the ACORN conventions, interviews with their workers, heard Maxine Waters speak on their behalf, and I come to one conclusion. There is not ANY of them that even deserve to be brething air and taking up space.

First of all, this bit about the middle class not benefiting from the tax cuts is a lie. We are middle class and did realize a tax cut.
Second of all, what does he mean when he says, “restore the middle class”? Are they planning on giving so much money to the lower income people that they become middle class?
By the way, part of the so called tax cut is going to be accomplished by cutting the social security tax of lower income people by about $5 per wk and making higher income people make up for it. It will not show up in the treasury as anything.
Barry also wants to subject 401K’s to the death tax (50%). So if you don’t receive all of your money from your 401K, half will go to the govt. He also wants the SS Admin. to administer all 401K’s and send out one check to retirees that will supposedly include ss and money from the 401K.
Anyone like that idea?

Do you know why she didn’t come back with any counter questions to what he was answering: because she doesn’t know anything! Listen to when she says “OK, lets move on to the next question”. She was just reading them off the telepromter. Biden was correct in asking her who had written those questions because she obviously was just reading words on a page. A bunch of you people that post here would have done a much better job of countering what Biden was saying. What a waste of a golden opportunity to nail this guy.

Years ago I read a comparative history of Henry VIII to Joesph Stalin.I think it was “Great Leaders, Great Tyrants” but I do not know for sure.
But the thesis was they both destroyed not only those they perceived as threats but even their most loyal sycophants. Both Henry and Stalin would kill their own to terrorize others into even greater fealty. It seemed to work. Some of both Henry’s and Stalin’s greatest Generals would get great accolades returning from victory and then later have them arrested. The same was true of Government leaders and the most menial jobs of the realm. The Obamanites remind me of those two tyrants. Terror for the sake of terror. Read Obama’s book “Dreams from My Father” and see if it does not seem familiar. Everybody is expendable, everybody.

It’s 5:05 here in California. I watched the video earlier and somehow found it on the stations web site about 30 minutes ago. I even left a comment congratulating Barbara West, the reporter, in their comment section.
I told my wife about the video and she went to watch it. We cannot find it! Does anyone know what happened here? It appears that someone got to the station!
