Code Pink evacuates from Berkeley

By Michelle Malkin  •  October 26, 2008 01:47 PM

They vowed to kick the Marines out of Berkeley.

But they’re the ones cutting and running.

I mentioned the Code Pink retreat from the Berkeley Marine recruiting center last month. Now, they’re holding a moving sale to evacuate their Solano Ave. office:

“EVERYTHING MUST GO.”

Including their sorry, pink-clad backsides.

We must close our CodePINK office, 1248 Solano Ave., Albany. Come to our EVERYTHING MUST GO Moving Sale from noon until 7:00pm Tuesday Oct 28th thru Thursday Oct 30th!

All the office furniture, display cabinets, tschotkes, and all the wonderful outdoor furniture and fixings as well - not to mention CodePINK memorabilia and merchandise - will be on sale!

Come get your treasure and help us close this part of our chapter.

Na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye…

Obviously you have never had to deal with the fascist of the various Air Quality District Offices in the People’s Republic of California. It would cost a fortune to get the appropriate permits to burn the Code Pinko trash. When stationed in Southern California in the late 1980s it cost Norton AFB and March AFB in combined fines and permits over $250K to operate our aircraft and vehicles. The effect of losing a Federal lawsuit thanks to a judge legislating from the bench. Like the ruling prevented the smog from rolling in from the LA ara every afternoon.

Good to see the hags of Code Pinko falling back. Hopefully they will retreat to join their allies in the Pakistan Tribal Area. Obviously the counter insurgency tactics implemented by our brave Marines still holds a small beachhead of patriotism in the anti-American enclave of Bezerkly.

These people only crave attention in order to add some substance to their lives. Once the attention is gone, they move on. People, like these, have mental/psychological problems that need the “real” attention. They remind me of some celebrity stars, who need help too.

There could well be a period of riots, regardless of November 4th, when things get bad-the big cities are shut down and food, water and electric service are interrupted. I do have some food, water and other essentials ready for a limited period. I do know people who had it real hard in the MLK riots in 1968, WATTS 1965, and again with the Rodney King riots. Survival mode need not cost a lot. AR-15s are pricy, you can get an SKS for half of that. I went of the AR-15–old times sake.

Just a few essential back in the closet.

In the late 60s/70s this country was much less divided-much less animosity-Reverend Wright types were there but a lower profile. When we did have the big riots there generally were Governors, Mayors and police departments willing to handle it–and still thousands died over the years. When Chicago shut down over the 1968 Democratic Party Convention riots good people were trapped–we have some of them living here now. And that was with Old Man Daly trying to handle it–think that punk son of his would? The same is true in LA, New York, San Francisco and DC, New Haven–all mayors and police departments that serve at the grace of the leftist and gangs. The individual policeman may be better but if he is told to leave the corner by his chief he leaves. Normandy Avenue?

As the black riots of 1965 to 1968 were caused by rising expectations so will these. The Left will see it as a chance to gain more extra-Constitutional power. The anarchist and hippies will take advantage of anything to act the fool.

You grew up in hard times? Most people I know did: We lived in a 900 square ft house on Lateral 9/Chandler SW if that means anything to you. I have an idea the packing sheds and fields were as tough as anywhere else. The police did not bother with crime down there–just the field workers acting stupid. Despite what you see on television MOST field workers had homes–it was just our work. Most were white, the rest me–very few black ag workers here in the fifties. But it was hard, mean and cruel-taught me the value of work, thrift and getting the hell out. So instead of tying my mother’s panyhose on my head I graduate high school and joined the Army. Yes, I am a tough guy Emeritus (as in Gone).

Hard times and hard people are not the problem nor the threat. Leftist and bad guys are. We have been too easy on both for two generations now and they think they have a chance at power. I don’t plan to let them get it.

We haven’t seen it before? Read your history–the Sons of Liberty were founded to PROTECT THE RIGHTS OF ENGLISHMEN. The militias who fought so well at Concord/Lexington and Williamsburg, Virginia had taken oaths TO OUR GRACIOUS KING AND THE RIGHTS OF ENGLISHMEN.

Things change. Be prepared. I am ready for a rematch- Many of we who returned from Viet Nam have unfinished business with these people.

I remember at a very early age, going onto a college campus while my parents were still in school and seeing hippies doing their stupid little sit-ins and protests.

Even though I chose to live in Berkeley and where I am now, I have had an intense disdain for the hippie culture from back at 3-4 years old.

Im sure being in-country in VietNam was miserable, but I was just born a generation too late. And I dont take a romantic view of what it was either, i knew too many guys that came back in various states of being. To watch a guy have a real-life flashback - two feet away from you - based on a question you just asked him is mind-blowing.

I also knew an ex-LRRP that had been on stateside duty during the Detroit riots, who told me how someone tried to drop a refrigerator on his head from several floors up.

And don’t forget that there are probably muslim terrorist cells waiting for a reason to attack. I can see rioting in the major cities as prime opportunity to attack a nuke power plant or take out the power grid. It was a substation in Canada that blacked out the Eastern Seaboard a few years ago.

I’m recommending to my adult children to make sure their gas tanks are full and they have some cash on November 5th. If the power grid goes down, getting an ATM to work may be a problem for a few days.

And we saw how fast society collapsed in New Orleans when the lights went out for a couple days.
