The pursuit of “Higher Purpose” requires Obama followers to skip out of their jobs and play hooky from school — while others pick up the slack.

If I were an employer I would say, sure , it’ll cost you your PTO plus a half day, since I’m supposed to give you time to vote. I’d say it to R’s and D’s….. you’re first duty is to your family by working, next is to God and 2, 658th to frickin political crap.

Michelle, I hate to disagree. But this is no big freakin’ deal. Every campaign: conservative, liberal, etc. needs to people to get time off from work to help on election day. I have November 3-5 off with my PTO. He’s not telling people to ditch work, but to take it off, and that’s not wrong.

Oh well, already filled out my ballot and submitted it off at an official drop-off last Sunday.

Well, living in California it will by like the Communist Holiday of May 1st, or as i call it ‘illegal alien day…with all the BHO supporters here, no traffic, no lines (i’ll make sure to fill up my tank on that day), get shopping done, i’ll just count my blessings that it will be an easy, less stress day.

What is it about Liberals and their “Take The Day Off” crapola? They do this all the time. Take the day off to support Illegal Aliens. Take the day off to watch the Spike Lee Malcolm X movie, and on and on and on.
The only thing is…according to Capt. Big Ears and His Boy Blunder, their supporters either cannot afford to miss work or don’t have a job in the first place.
Thus, they are either telling people that voting for and/or working for Odhimmi is more important than feeding your family, or that it is more important looking for work. (standing on the freeway offramp with a sign telling everyone how badly you need to get gas to get back to where ever you came from does not count.)
Hell, I’m taking two days off.

Before I hacidenda off to bed, I want to tell you a childhood story. When I was 9, I was the bat boy for the baseball team my father was the player/manager for. We were ahead 12-3 going into the bottom of the 9th. I was hungry and wanted to get home, so like a good bat boy, I took all the bats out of the rack and put them in the duffel bag.
My father, playing first base threw in the infield ball after warmups and saw what I had done. He called time, trotted over to the dugout, and said, “Put the bats back in the rack. They stay there till the last out.”
After the game I learned that one time with a 13-2 lead my father unracked the bats and they lost 14-13. That was long ago and my father has been gone for 10 years. But no one in our family ever “unracks the bats early.” It is our way of life.
The game is played on November 4. When the last pundit signs off, I will mentally unrack the bats; not before. I see plenty of “at bats” left. Yogi’s right. “It isn’t over till it’s over.”
Keep the faith. Strike First, Strike Hard. I hope you all have a peaceful night.

The question is on point, if not quite on topic. There are several other countries that have tried the Obama approach out there, and failed miserably, but Ms. Malkin could be one of the first casualties here.

And just how many Democrap party lawyers will be at the polling places? If it is close, this election could go on for weeks. Just in Ohio how long will it that them to “…investigate election fraud and irregularities…” since they couldn’t (wouldn’t) go thru all of those ballots that were in question a couple of weeks ago.

Anyone who doesn’t show up for work next Tuesday won’t have a job at my company Wednesday unless they can bring documentation showing they were hospitalized.
I’m already scheduled to have November 4th off. So I’ll be voting early…and then I’ll go out and buy a couple more cases of canned goods and perhaps a couple extra boxes of ammo.

I know one thing…. if Obama wins, there will be days of “celebration” by the Left. Inauguration Day will be a day of Penn. Ave. strewn with palm fronds and flower pedals. Lots of smiles and “high 5s” by the illiterate. The next day, the arrests begin….
2 weeks ago, I was transported to the ER and got to see and be treated by an MD immediately. Within 2 days, I was seeing a specialist, and had surgery within 4 days after that. A few days later I developed an serious infection (no fault of surgery) and was treated immediately. Again, a specialist followed up within 2 days. Today is my last day of recovery; back to work tomorrow. Under government healthcare (based on healthcare in the other socialist countries like Canada), I probably would be dead now, still on the list to see a specialist in 5-7 months.
I thought the election was in the bag for Obama. Surely all the polls say he is going to win by 10 points or more. What is Michelle so worried about?
In fact, I am not happy about the way Obama says we are going to have to slow down the pullout from Iraq, or increase troops in Afghanistan. And now Biden is saying we’ll have a whole new war to worry about within six months of an Obama inaugeration.

I’m sorry … I must have awakened in a parallel/reverse universe. I thought I was in America, where the right to vote is sacred (Religion Alert: oops!) and the ability to work (oops again!) is a privilege that shouldn’t be taken advantage of.
I live near the Canadian boarder. We have many Canadians in our hospitals because of their need for swift treatment.
It only takes me thirty minutes to vote. Why does anyone need a full day off? Do they read that slowly?
Just speaking as one of the few conservative (and Christian) academics out there – anyone who ditches my classes on Nov 4th will not get credit for class – which does impact their grades.
On a side note – I heard students talking outside my class door last week – comparing the two candidates. I was relieved to hear some of them saying that they liked McCain’s policies over B0’s (particularly taxes). And then they mentioned they weren’t really concerned about abortion…cause they didn’t know when life started. Imagine their surprise when they found out that my (pre-planned) lecture for the day included a discussion of prenatal development and all that is possible in utero and early too. Some of their faces were priceless.
Off to see if the early voting lines are any shorter today….so far – the wait is averaging 2 hours!

Like it or not, here is the plain, simple truth.
I’ve been working as a local GOP volunteer for over a month. I’ve seen people energized enough to volunteer, and we now have 3 times the number from the past 2 election cycles who will be working as poll watchers because they know this will be won by the better grass roots movement. I have got election day off so I can fill in where needed. I want McCain to win!

Too many Americans today are morons, be it taste in music, movies, sports stars, reading material, clothing selection, etc. etc. They think of numero uno only and the country be damned. They couldn’t tell you two supreme court justices if their life depended on it. The constitution is a foreign document to them and their understanding of a Republican form of government borders on retardation.
Oh happy day happy-mama. My oldest conservative daughter teaches at one of our local universities. She will be thrilled to know there’s an ally in her profession.
On the one hand, this video appears innocent enough. There is pleasant music in the background, it is telling kids to stop playing videogames, it is telling kids to get out the vote-to do something important. However, it is a video ad directed at children. I thought such ads were illegal. He is brainwashing children. What a creep. I wish someone with a loud voice would tell Obama to keep away from our children. I hate pedophiles and this commercial uses their tactics.
