Owned by none other than CBS? Come on guys, place this interview on your website. Your anchors did a great service to this country. I love the line about comparing them to Fox News. Why can’t we ask any politician the tough questions without retribution?
I hope that 8 days from now, we’ll know that there will be no such thing as an “Obama Administration.”

The man and woman interviewing Biden should have read the NY Times expose on Biden from about a month ago. I know what you’re thinking already: The New York Times? Yes, the New York Times. The Times did a dynamite story on how Biden even uses campaign money to take the amtrak back and forth to Delaware every day and Biden came up with the lame excuse that he only used campaign money when he had campaign “events”.
The only thing Biden did not say in the interview was: “Ladies and Gentlemen”.
Maybe the interviewers should have said to Joe: “Please tell us who the ancestors of yours are who worked 16 hours under the ground digging up the coal and then played 8 hours of football?”
And maybe they should have asked Joe: “Do you want to apologize for plaigirizing your term paper in law school and getting a F from your professor for unethical conduct?”

Go take the poll over at AOL about Palin and if she is helping or hurting McCain. You will see over half of the states think she is hurting McCain. The media does their job well. You cannot count out (or overcome) the stupid vote and the stupid vote is for Obama.

Please quit calling this a tough question. This is a fair and obvious question that the campaign should have been expecting. My guess is they were expecting it, and since there is no good response, their strategy is to simply treat it as though it were a ridiculous question based on lies about the One — fortunately, we know better.

I am flabbergasted that this happened twice in less than a week! This is not the MSM I have come to know and despise. What’s this world coming to when reporters start asking tough questions of Dems? Is this the end of the world? Is the MSM about to be thrown under the bus? This could get ugly if a few more reporters start getting serious in the final days of this campaign.

The “reporters” at the network level are still in the tank, and it will get worse for the next week because they can’t face the embarrassment they will face is Obama loses. I think the affiliate reporters are stepping up because they know what a joke the MSM is right now, and if McCain wins the only way the MSM can save face is to flush all the current “talent”.
I find it interesting that it seems to be the local media outlets who are giving Bidumb hell, unlike the national media hacks who genuflect whenever some lib tool walks by.

This was a terrible clip. Certainly you get the sense that Sen Biden didn’t appreciate the interview. And, you can see that the interveiwers got into a Chris Matthews jag with rapid fire questions.
I would have preferred to see the interveiw in it’s complete form vice seeing it as a gossip piece.
Is it fair to say that our current progressive tax system is socialist in nature? If the answer is yes, then are we socialist?
Socialism is less about the taxes than what you do with them.
I emailed the station and gave the reporters kudos for asking those questions.
I am hoping that they get more mail applauding them.
Perhaps a few members of the Real News Media are catching on to the fact that Barack Obama will throw anyone under that bus. If he wins, the risk of going under the bus will be increased exponentially.
They are beginning to see what happens to those that ask too many questions during the campaign, a time when the candidate must keep up appearances. How well do they think an Obama administration will take tough questions or criticism from them when there isn’t a poll to worry about every day?
The same thing goes for his ‘friends’ in Congress. It will be a short, stormy honeymoon if there is one at all.

I agree, zyzzyg (#48). It would be better to see the whole thing, rather than chopped up. However, I can’t see how it could help Biden any more to be fair. (I think that his “absolutely not” that seemed to be after a further question was a continuation from of his response to the previous question.) Too bad management doesn’t seem willing for people to see the full thing.

If this is not scaring people…two stations question him about legitimate items backed up with facts and figures and he gave no exlainations about his denials, then said stations banned from ever asking them questions again…then I truly don’t know what will.
I recommend people study what it is like to be a television news station or newspaper in North Korea, Vietnam, China and Venezuela and then look at these two incidents again and tell me what the difference is.

I was listening to the Eagles today. Hotel California, to be exact. After really HEARING the words, I got to thinking maybe others should at least listen to it. I thought, to myself, “maybe people should watch what they wish for, they just might get it”. This is probably the most important decision we will make in our lifetime and maybe for generations to come. As the song says “you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave”!! Is this the utopia that Obama is feeding everyone? Will they regret making the decision to vote for him just because of his “words”? I surely hope not! As for Biden, he is on the opposite end of the scale from Obama on speaking, but there again, don’t think he is using a teleprompter like “the one” does. Oh well, just my opinion.
After the election, Obama and Smokin’ Joe Biden will nationalize all news outlets that speak ill of the annointed one’s policies. These were legitimatre questions asked about things that either he did or said, what Capt. Big Ears did or said or what the basis of their campaign is.
There was nothing used in this or the other line of questioning that was out of bounds, off topic, or “gotcha” journalism, which is what they have been doing to McCain and Palin forever.
This was nothing like accusing Palin of masking her pregnancy, of claiming her daughter’s child was hers, of an affair either her or her husband did or didn’t have, or how much her shoes cost or any of the other 999,999 obscure and bizarre things that have been asked to and of Palin.
The guy had SPECIFIC events and SPECIFIC numbers to back up his question and cited SPECIFIC and trusted sources where such FACTS came from.
None of what was asked was made up. All of it was legitimate and, had Biden actually believed what he was saying in his denials, would have been very easy to explain.
Instead, his refusal to answer the questions, his denials and his running home to mommy only shows how dishonest he is, that the accusations being levied against him and his master are true, and that anyone who dares question them apart from the approved line of questions handed out by the Obama Campaign can expect to be punished and, should they win, actually expect worse in the days and months to come.
Should he win, I think it would be more than worthwhile to follow up on the stations and the interviewers to see just how many IRS audits they receive amongst other things.
Lefty media asks during the primary when Mitt Romney first had sex with his wife and that’s OK but ask a VP nominee about 1.8 million in cash payments to family members by Biden and that’s out of bounds?
